I always wanted to microblade my eyebrows as I have very sparse and light eyebrows! I have been putting it off due the time and location of the brow studio. One day I searched on Instagram #microbladequeens and Peony Brows popped up !!! It is literally 5 minutes drive from my home! I have decided to pull tigger! Since I'm working from home - I don't need to worry about long healing time! Location is convenient for me , And pandemic had eased off . Perfect timing and opportunity to get my brows done before the bee normal reopening in September 2021!! I'm a result oriented person, as long the results is satisfactory - then I'm sold! Sammi did an excellent job in maintaining her studio clean and safe (even State government has lifted most of covid restrictions)! But as a caver the just came out of her cave after 15 months, this is my first personal grooming appointment, so I'm ultra picky and eye bugging on every details. At the time of my appointment, Body temperature was checked, indoor sleeper was provided, frequent hand washing , Only two of us were in the studio, we both wore mask, air filter turned on, everything Sammi used on me was brand new and disposable! Safety is the key !! Sammi is very patient and professional! She spent decent amount of time on drawing and designing my eyebrows, made sure the shape , arch, thickness were my liking ! The pain was tolerable after first pass, it was less painful than laser hair removal treatment! For the second pass , Sammi applied numbing cream, I felt the movement and the blade rolling noise but not the pain. After 4 hours of laying down, several intermissions to get up to stretch, water and bathroom time. I finally got eyebrows - I asked myself why didn't I do this sooner !! Microblading is something I've always wanted to do as my brows are very sparse and light in color. Sammi came recommended to me by one of my mom friends and knew that I wanted to check out her services since it was so close to home. I had contemplated going to the city to get it done but am so happy that I found a place nearby because of Covid. I contacted Sammi on IG and she was very responsive. She emailed me a comprehensive information packet and answered every question I had. My main concern was the pain but she was very thorough and walked through every step with me. She asks for a non make up picture as well as a make up picture so she can assess what you normally do for brows and also makes recommendations for best shape. There is a pre-care instructions to get best results as well as post-care. Upon entering her facility, the place was small but very cute and clean! She follows Covid protocols meticulously e.g. body temp checked, shoe cover or slipper to wear inside, washing hands with soap and water upon entering, air purifier machine, covered seats and table. Sammi takes her time to first map out your brows and show you the shape you desire while also making recommendations. After you are both happy with the brow shape, she gets ready to mix the ink for the blading portion. Honestly this is where I was most nervous as the first pass is done with no numbing but Sammi walked me through it. It felt like a light scratching on the surface of my skin and the pain was bearable but nothing terrible. The second pass is when she would apply a numbing agent and that's when you wouldn't feel a thing. The overall process took about 4 hours. She followed up with post care instructions for best results. I scheduled my 2nd session with her which usually takes place in 6-8 weeks after to perfect your brows. Sammi's work ethic is a perfectionist who really takes her time to get it right and also makes sure that her client is happy. She only takes one client a day right now which really gives you a personalized experience. I am so happy that I have brows now that I don't have to worry about drawing them in every morning.
