Had a great experience working with Penske Rapid Repair for a windshield replacement. I typically service my vehicle with BMW North Scottsdale, but since they don't handle windshield replacements in-house, they recommended Penske Rapid Repair. From start to finish, the process was smooth, organized, and surprisingly fast. Shortly after my BMW service advisor submitted the request, Penske Rapid Repair contacted me and explained the entire process, including filing the insurance claim and providing the referral number once approved. After the initial phone call, all follow-up communication was handled through text, which made everything very convenient. I provided the referral number on Thursday, insurance approved the OEM replacement the following Tuesday, the windshield arrived on Thursday, and I was scheduled for at-home service on Friday. That turnaround time was impressive. The technician, Jesus, arrived just a few minutes after the scheduled service window and was extremely professional and friendly. The replacement itself took about 45 minutes, including calibration of the vehicle's sensors with the new windshield. Afterward, he provided a pamphlet with post-replacement care instructions along with a 40% off coupon for future repair service. He also explained that the replacement included lifetime windshield chip repair, which is a fantastic added benefit. A few days later, I noticed the windshield wipers weren't working and discovered the wiper arm bolts were missing. I texted Jesus on a Sunday expecting I'd hear back Monday at the earliest, but he responded quickly, apologized, and immediately helped troubleshoot the issue. He suspected the bolts and covers had been left under the hood, and sure enough, that's exactly where they were. He then walked me through reinstalling everything correctly over the phone. Even with that small hiccup, the level of customer service and professionalism was outstanding. Worst customer Service ever. Made an appointment two weeks ago. When I arrived they could not do the window tint. They originally installed the wrong tint on the car to begin with, Now the weather is not right to remove and install the correct tint. Penske by far is the worst service department and repair facility that I have ever worked with and I have 7 Audi's. I will make an appointment to go somewhere else and just pay out of pocket to have it done correctly. So I will have paid twice. read more

rec'd a quote for minor paint repairs of approx $2400. Dropped car off and went to pick it and invoice was $3000. Asked what happened and got a vague response of there was more work involved. At no time during the two weeks they had the car that anything was amiss with the original estimate, no contact from them that the repairs were more involved, just a surprise billing. My dealer referred me to Penske to replace a windshield. What a disappointment. My insurance company emailed them and they failed to contact me. I decided to contact them and my first attempt at calling I was on hold for 10 min before I gave up and emailed them from their website. Later in the day I tried calling again and was on hold for 42 min before I gave up, I tried selecting the option to leave a message, but it didn't work. I emailed a second time. The following day I received a short email saying the windshield was back ordered with no anticipated date for arrival. Went in yesterday with my brother in law for a clear bra installation, he had made he's appointment made a week ago, and especially told it was a 2021 Yukon and if they were capable of doing it and was told yes. So a week goes by and we drop of he's Yukon and go get a rental for the day, to only get a call back saying they couldn't do Yukon because they didn't have the cuts it was to new not in the system . So know I'm stuck with a extra car for a day! I go pick up the suv and the lady wasn't even wearing a mask no cov 19 precaution what's so ever ! Excellent experience with Penske Automotive Collision. Came in for minor bumper damage and full detail. My vehicle was done in 3 day. My bumper is flawless and the detail made my 10 year SUV look brand new inside! My only regret is I did not have my car detailed by Penske sooner, it truly looks incredible. I coordinated my collision repair with Mark Castleman. He made extremely convenient to evaluate the repairs needed. I was able to email him a camera phone pick of the damage and he emailed me back same day with the time it would take to repair, the cost, set up an appointment time, and gave me detailed directions to the north Scottsdale location. I also worked with Jen when I dropped off my vehicle. She was professional, friendly and set expectations. I could tell she cared about her job. Referred here by a friend who has used penske rapid repair several times with no issues. Unfortunately, I was unable to get anyone to replace my windshield after trying to set it up for 3 days. First time I called, got put on eternal hold. Left my name and number but got no call back. Called the next morning, immediate recording again for over 30 minutes. Finally left a message again. Went inside the business off princess blvd. Nice employee said I needed to contact somebody from their office to schedule. Got a different number from her. Finally reached a supervisor named Mark, I think. Mark told me their phone system is putting people on hold and not showing on the switch board. Said it's mysteriously deleting messages. He sounded helpful, said a guy named john would call me. I gave him my insurance referral number. Never got a call from John. Called back later got his voice mail. Left a message, no call back. Called a different number listed on my insurance referral email for penske. Woman said she would transfer me to glass department. Got a woman's voicemail and left a message. 3 days, several messages, no call back. I went elsewhere. Ridiculous! How do they stay in business if nobody can get through to make an appointment.? At least my friend never had to deal with this. I won't even attempt using them again. read more

UPDATE: I Received a call from Angela, she was very nice and took initiative over the situation. They took responsibility for the mistake. And she said she got it taken care of with enterprise. I'm going to update my review based on the quality of the repair. The customer service I received from Scott and Angela. However, be warned. If they promise something please get it in writing to ensure you're not still dealign with issues like I was. Extremely disappointed with the customer service I've received through rapid repair. I chose to have my vehicle fixed here because it's reputable company who I trusted to take care of my vehicle. My vehicle was dropped off for repairs to the front end, dropped it off May 1st early morning. They got me into an enterprise rental, fast forward to June 1st. I receive a call that my vehicle is done and ready to be picked up. However they close in 10 Minutes and if I'm not able to make it, I can pick the vehicle up Monday morning. So come Monday morning I pick my car up early, I was there around 8:20 or so. I dropped the rental off, the enterprise lady ask' if Penske is covering the 3 days ( Over the weekend) he said they were. I pick up my Mini and the repairs done we're great they even cleaned my headlights. I was happy with the quality of the repair. Fast forward 1 week, I get a call from Enterprise, trying to charge me for the 3 days. Apparently He hadn't kept his word about covering the 3 days. I call him, no answer. I call the advisor that was working directly with the insurance company and he doesn't answer, I call the general number and they connect me with a gentleman named Scott. He said he would reach out to Ed. He emailed Ed, and CC'd me. Ed never responds, a few days pass. I respond to the same email and Scott responds with " Have we heard anything back Ed? " and still no response from Ed. Where's Ed? I attempt to call Ed and no response. So I call Jaime up in Scottsdale again and he says he'll get in touch with Enterprise and that he'll take care of it. I said good, thank you. Now fast forward to today 7/30/18 I get another call from Enterprise again wanted me to pay the balance. So I call Jaime, no answer. I call the general Number and the nice lady connected me with Ed and he's telling me he doesn't have authority to approve the rental payment. Just extremely frustrated I'm told one thing and now everyone is giving me the run- around. I thought this was supposed to be a reputable shop with great customer service. Wrong. Such a shame because the repairs on my vehicle were great, the technicians did an outstanding job. It's the customer service that's giving Penske a bad name. I wish this were a 5 star review. I brought my Range Rover into service at Land Rover Scottsdale and they noticed my windshield was cracked. They directed me to have it fixed in house by Penske Rapid Repair while it was in service. Since the windshield had to be ordered, they made an appointment to replace it in my driveway after I had collected it from being repaired. While washing my truck I noticed that my speaker cover that sits in the dash up against the windshield had been cracked and broken. When it was brought to Penske Rapid Repairs attention, I went back and forth several times with Glass Operations Manager Mark Castleman by email about the issue and he told me that it was already cracked even though his before pictures did not reflect it was broken prior to the work being completed and also prior to him even looking at my car in the service bay and Land Rover Scottsdale. In his final email, he lied and said the stitching in my leather dash was coming apart and the edges were curling and he has refused to replace the broken part. I would highly suggest you bring your business elsewhere. Penske has lost my business including the dealership. I will not be servicing my vehicles at Land Rover Scottsdale nor will I buy any more vehicle from the Penske Auto Group. I am updating my review to reflect the upper mgmt team here. Why it isn't 5 stars is the front line reps with Anthony and his manager Ron. STAY AWAY!! If I had the option for zero stars that's what this company deserves. I was referred to this shop from the Porsche dealership and assumed this would be a reputable shop to work with. What I experienced is the complete opposite. I got body work done on my Porsche macan in December. When they returned the car to me there was a huge crack in my windshield which was not there when I dropped off the car. I then found out where I dropped off the car is not where they do the body work. An employee drove my car down to south Scottsdale for the body work and is not claiming responsibility for my windshield. I would understand if the car never left the premises, but only to find out it was driven to their body shop and back. Anthony was my rep, completely useless escalating anything to him because he can't do anything. He then forwarded the issue to his manager Ron Coley. It took over a month for us to schedule an appt because they would not claim responsibility and both mine and their pictures show otherwise. We had an 8:30 am appt this morning which I took time off work to meet. I stop by the only location I have an address with and was told when I came in that Ron is at the body shop. I call Anthony to have Ron call me asap but only to find out Ron isn't even coming into the shop until later in the day. A company that has their managers so unprofessional that they can't make any decisions to make it right for the customer is a company you do not want to do business with. The issue has now been escalated to the main manager Tim I believe, still waiting for a response and it is now 9:30 am. An hour after my original appt and no call from Ron or Tim. Beware of doing business with an unprofessional shop like this. May change my rating if a resolution occurs but at this point not holding my breath. Ordered a windshield replacement for my Accord. Was told (twice!) on the phone when ordering that they would definitely use a premium brand (FYG). Installer instead used a bargain brand (Crinamex) without telling us of the substitution until after installation. Still working with them for a resolution and if it works out OK I will change this review, but for now they have failed. If you go to them for windshield replacement, be sure to confirm the brand with the installer before they install it. Update: I raised this from 1 star to three because the manager called me to discuss the problem. Still not completely resolved and I'm still not happy about the unannounced change of brand, but we have a compromise where we can try to move forward. read more

I Brought my car to Penske Rapid Repair/ Auto Glass to get the windshield repair, as they also own Porsche North Scottsdale. Biggest mistake I ever made. When I got the car back it had adhesive and fingerprints all over the fenders and doors, as well as a chip in the drivers door. Unfortunately that was just the beginning. A few weeks later I was cleaning the inside of the windshield and noticed something odd on the passenger side of the windshield. So I brought my vehicle to the Porsche dealer to have them look at it. They told me that they Penske Auto Glass had torn, and broken the windshield antenna ribbon when they installed the new windshield, and that the windshield would have to be replaced once again. I did not trust Penske to replace the windshield again so I had another company (Ever Ready Auto Glass) replace it for me. Upon removal of the incorrectly and damaged Penske windshield the Ever Ready installer pointed out to me that there were tool marks left on my rear view mirror from the last install. Yet more damage to my vehicle from Penske Auto Glass. MY ADVICE IS TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM PENSKE AUTO GLASS. In response to Lindsey C's comment from Penske. I asked and I sent them the estimate for the repair of the chip they put on my door for $511.38, I also asked them to replace the rear view mirror their installer damaged with tool marks and sent them a picture of that damage. Lastly I asked for just $250 for loss of income and my time since I have had to take hours of my own time to bring the car to be repaired, and for estimates as well as hours of additional time I have spent dealing with all of this nonsense that They Penske Rapid Repair has caused. I addition have emails from Penske stating that they had not and would not bill my insurance for the bad windshield repair. Here is the then actual quote from Jan 2 2013 ( "Geico has not and will not be billed for the work performed." ) as sent from Tabitha Wall, Operations Manager. Yet they did bill Geico, and were paid for the work they said they would not bill for. So much for being true to their word. Further more Lindsay C from Penske in her comment stated "We have refunded the entire amount for the work performed to his insurer " , but as of today Feb 14th 2013 according to Geico they have not yet done so. Again it seems that they have made another false statement of truth. Lindsay C also makes this statement that they "have politely declined repeated requests for monetary compensation for his dissatisfaction" The only single email request for compensation I have made was an email sent to Tabitha Wall at Penske to compensate me for the repair of my vehicle, that They Penske have damaged, and to recoup a small amount of money for all of the time I have had to take off, and spend rectifying the damage they caused to my car. I have not been unreasonable in any way. So I paid for my new windshield out of my own pocket $952.19, and have yet to be reimbursed from my insurer because as my insurance company has informed me that they have yet to be reimbursed from Penske, and since they consider this a warranty issue because of the damage Penske admitted them they caused, they can not pay me until Penske pays them back. I also have recorded phone conversations with a Penske rep Tabitha Wall taking responsibly for my door chip, yet they have refused to pay for the repair, or provide me with a replacement rear view mirror. So one should ask themselves this. What kind of business would damage your vehicle, admit that they did it, and then tell you that they would not bill your insurance , and then turn around and bill them anyway, Refuse to pay for the damage they caused, and then try to make you look like your the unreasonable one with a reply to your opinions and statement on yelp of what they Penske have been putting you through, and then also try to imply that they are perhaps the victim here and you are wrong. Answer: Penske Rapid Repair. PENSKE RADIP REPAIR STOP YOUR NONSENSE, AND DO THE RIGHT THING AND PAY FOR MY REPAIRS FOR THE DAMAGE YOU CUASED TO MY CAR.
