I can't say enough about Eli and this repair shop. My wife's laptop would not take a charge, and…read moreshe was almost finished writing a paper for a college class when it died. We had first tried Best Buy. They made sure that our charger cord wasn't bad, but that is where their troubleshooting knowledge ended. They wanted to send it off somewhere, get a quote for repair, have it repaired, then ship it back to us. They do absolutely nothing in house. So.. we left there frustrated. On our drive back home we found Affordable. We stopped in and Eli checked the cord, fiddled here and there and the laptop was up and running literally in minutes. He also restored my wife's paper, then sent us on our way. Turns out, all it needed was a "battery reset". I highly recommend this business to anyone needing quick and affordable computer repair, Windows or MAC! Bestbuy Geek Squad absolutely sucks. Yelpers, when looking for a business recommendation, use the map feature and not the listings. Business are charged an unholy amount of money monthly to appear in the listings, but everyone that has been reviewed appears on the map.

Turns out it was the DC input from the charger to the motherboard; although I can see why he would recommend a motherboard swap but I already spent $200 to replace the screen... it still didn't work so I couldn't use it anywhere except my dock at home :( I only put on an extra star because I might not know exactly what I'm talking about but my laptops been working fine since I replaced this part alone, saving money VS coming to this repair shop. Would not recommend coming here unless you can dedicate a full 24 hours away from a screaming, nagging wife to fix things with your own two hands. I basically paid a professional to help me repair my own laptop so unless you're coming here for a desktop or tower PC, Stay far away from this repair.

Admittedly there were a couple of speed-bumps along the way, and even though they weren't Jesse's fault, he still went above and beyond each time to make it right anyway. Our experience with him was exemplary and we've already recommended him to several of our friends and will continue to do so. OKComputerGuy is OUR computer guy from here on out! Then I got a second quote of $367.00, and he wanted payment ahead of the service!! I responded that I never pay until after the work is done (all consumer websites say never to pay until the work is done so you don't get scammed). Then he sent a message stating that there would be an extra charge for setting up the Amazon Fire sticks and IR extender!! Then he sent a message saying my quote was not 10% off, but the total was still $367.00!! SO, then I got on Thumbtack.com and found three quotes for $200, $238 and $250. I'll be going with one of these contractors.
