Their pizza has absolutely no flavor. However, I hear the locals talk about how amazing it used it be.

Pizza was ok. I feel like here they just add to much cheese to pizza. Crust was kind of blah. We like our flavored crust. I guess order light cheese unless you like more than normal. We will have to flavor up our crust. Staff was friendly service and it was a busy Friday. We broke away from or normal for Friday. My wife and kids had never had Pennfield Pizza and she wanted to try it. They had a pretty long wait which was fine. Not in too much of a hurry lately...not like there is anywhere we can go. ‍ But the pizza is very good. Lots of cheese on the pizza without having to order extra. Cheese bread is pretty good also. Been eating here for years but tonight was different I had a LIFE changing pizza called tons of meat and cheese. Where do I start?? The piles of beacon, ham, pepperoni, real fresh ground beef two kinds of cheese. #mindblowing!!! Best pizza in Battle Creek, by far. Every pizza is made with fresh and tasty ingredients. Lots of stretchy mozzarella cheese with a custom red sauce on a chewy and crispy cracker crust. Try dipping the pizza in their ranch side to add some more tanginess to the full bodied flavorful pizza. They also have wet burritos that are huge and delicious. If have been in the area for a long time like I have their wet burritos remind of what I use to get at Northside Sub, that use to be adjacent to Baily Park Thriftway. read more

I agree that the outer crust flavor is lacking, but I always get a side of sauce or ranch for dipping. 2. The sauce is simple but delicious. 3. The cheese is the hit of the party. Overall very average pizza. I ordered a thin crust pizza and the flavor was similar to a saltine cracker. Very dry and bland. But I thought the sauce was good and they were generous with the toppings. My boyfriend got a gluten free pizza and he said it was pretty good. He appreciated the crispy crust because most gf crusts at other places are undercooked. read more

I've been eating this pizza for decades and in the last few years I've sort of rediscovered it as I've been coming back to BC more often. It's great. I think growing up in BC in the 80s-00s the best pizza in the city was Sir Pizza, when it was on the northside, near Piper Park. I'm not sure what happened with that move to Columbia, but I think Pennfield Pizza might be the best pizza in the city now. I always get it as takeout, but they do have a dining option. Just as a constructive note, the inside is very simple and doesn't have the pizza place atmosphere. It's very simple. But for takeout, it's great. It's a simple pizza that tastes fantastic and has great flavor. The crust isn't fancy and gets out of the way. I always get the simple cheese, and it's always perfection. Keep it up, PP! read more

Didn't feel like driving across town so thought we would try the pizza here. Did not like the crust, the sauce was too spicy, overpowered the whole flavor. Will not be going back. Next time we want pizza, we'll go the extra miles across town. read more

One of our two favorites for pizza, their quality, taste and service are always top notch. We typically order take out, and orders are usually in the 20-30 minute timeframe. Dine in is open, casual/comfortable setting, nothing fancy. Great for your small to medium group to just get together and chow down. Pizza is something that is in the eye of the beholder...So a it of a breakdown: Crust - a bit on the dense, heavy side but without being doughy or prone to under-cooked. Sauce (regular only addressed here) - just right thickness, nice mild balance if herbs and seasonings, a hint of sweetness. Never had one over-sauced. Toppings - full range of typical choices. Typically generous, fresh quality and full flavored. Cheese - honest mozzarella, none of that prefab substitute garbage. Again, normal regular order is generous and adequate, extra cheese order is sublime! A filling pizza, the 12" leaves the two of us usually partaking with about 1/3 left for later. Reheats nicely,with the quality nearly as good as fresh, which my hubby totally appreciates as a guy who could have pizza just about every day and be happy. Other menu items we've had: Wet burritos - very good and a favorite here. A very popular menu item I hear from other diners as well. Salad - nothing special garden salad,but a fresh and light addition. Calzones - not really impressed,and I'd say not their strong suit. Their good quality pizza dies not translate well for this choice...but that too might be a matter of choice and you might love them. Specialty pizzas - only had the TACO, and not bad at all. I have eaten at Pennfield Pizza for over 30 years. They are still owned by the same family. Consistently magnificent pizza.

I have eaten pizza from east coast to west coast and this is the best anywhere. The crust is thick and delicious and the toppings are strewn with a heavy hand. No need to order extra cheese as a regular order is as thick as anyone could want. The dining area is small and cozy and staff very friendly. If you have never had a pizza from here do you self a favor and try one. read more

I finally tried Pennfield Pizza this week and it was the biggest pizza disappointment EVER! We made a special trip to finally try it only to get home and end up throwing it in the trash. I took my first bite and literally gagged and spit it out. Absolutely AWFUL! We will NEVER return. I am literally shocked people enjoy this pizza. It tastes like the Jiffy Pizza crust mix.
