Beggars Bush

Ah, so that's where all those snake skin tunic tops are coming from…read more In a move that's sure to enrage designers and buyers who take good quality clothing seriously, Fashion Outlet delivers their own brand of coture to the masses with incredibly cheap goods. Now, you do get what you pay for here, and most of the fabrics used for their lines of trousers, shirts and suits are of a disappointingly low quality (suffering from the dreaded Three Ms: Man Made Materials). As a silver lining, you won't pay more than €5 or €20 for most of the items on the racks. As a rule I give this shop a miss, but for ladies in the market for black work trousers good for a few months, or an acrylic sweater sure to unravel on the drive home, this is your first (and hopefully last) stop.

I think that while reading these review you should remember that different people have different…read moretastes and different senses of fashion and different opinions on quality versus price. So very different, okay? So with that in mind let me tell you that this shop is one that i do not really frequent and one that when i have gone in i have never ever walked out with a bag in my hand, well not one from that shop anyway! Everything in here is really cheap and not very nice in my opinion. Nothing looks to be particularly well made and the materials that are used are not the type that I normally like to wear at all at all! ( I sound like someone who insists on egyptian cotton bed sheets and the like, im not, i promise!) Anyway, as i said i may be very different from you, the lovely reader, but i have given my honest opinion anyway and sure what else can i do?

My mother dragged me out of bed on Saturday morning to come here... ok when I say dragged me out of…read morebed, she rang me at 10am telling me how she'd been in here earlier on in the week and they'd put aside a dress for an upcoming family wedding for her until today and she wasn't sure about it, and so eventually I offered to get out of bed and go there with her - you know how it is with mothers, they're cunning like that! Anyway we went along and she tried on the dress, and it was so 'meh' that I almost fainted when I saw the pricetag! But she had picked out a lovely jacket. The thing about this shop is they have quite good pieces for a woman of a certain age, but the shop assistants will simply tell you everything is lovely, even though it might not be. I simply took over a got all bossy and picked out a new outfit for my mother that made her feel fabulous - and I could tell the shop assistants hated me for it! They were totally devoid of advice in general. I saw other women there with the same dilemma as my mother and they simply said 'that's lovely' instead of making alternative suggestions and actually finding something that suited the person... I really had to hold myself back from finding outfits for these other women. The clothes in this shop are simply too expensive to be just ok. if you're going to drop 400 euro on an outfit it should make you feel amazing (in my book anything over 50 quid should make you feel amazing!!). And there's too many women, particularly over a certain size, who are unnerved by this type of fashion, but need something for a family event, and will pay this kind of money for something that's just ok. I reckon this shop could do amazing business if it just stepped up and got assistants who were better at advising and styling.

okay I'm in my twenties not in my forties so this is not a shop that i shop in BUT i have been in…read morehere with some older relaltives and when i am forty something i might go in here because it is fairly fashionable for that age group, it gets fashion right for that age group, keeps things that are in fashion in stock but in a graceful way that suits a lady who is not trying to dress younger than her years. jeese im making it sound really boring! but really its ot aboring shop at all! another plus for some ladies is that it caters for a wide range of sizes, it does not just stop at size 16. a downside to this shop is the price of everything, all i can say is it is good that you need to be a bit older in here because you will have to save for a while to be able to afford clothes in here! start saving now!

When you think of shopping locations in Dublin, Nutgrove is heading on the tip of your tongue. But…read moremaybe it should be if you are heading South side anytime soon and don't want to be lost in the crowds at Dundrum. Nutgrove has some of Ireland's biggest names in retail, including, Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Boots, Penny's, Hughes & Hughes, Argos, Bus Stop and Golden Discs. Not to mention the Carphone Warehouse, O2 and Vodafone. It also has lots of other cool stores to fulfill all you shopping needs like a chemist, opticians, fashion and shoe stores, jewelers, book and stationary store and arts and hobbies stores. Apart from shopping it offers lots of services like, Post Office, Halifax, ATM's, Social Welfare Office, Tax Office, Credit Union, and lots of passport photo machines! As for food, my favourite type of service, well there is enough artery clogging fast food here to satisfy the fatty in all of us, McDonald's, Burger King, Eddie Rockets, Pretzel King, India Gate Restaurant and they are in the process of building a Subway Sandwich! Yummy! There is plenty of parking and even an Eco Car Wash that you can have done whilst you shop! If you don't dive the centre is serviced by the number 16A, 17, 75 and 161 buses.

And it simply doesn't compete with Dundrum or Liffey Valley or any of the more modern places. However it is a great place for grocery shopping having both a Dunnes and a Tesco and you would certainly find yourself picking up a few bits at the other shops in there such as Pennys and Clarks. It also has lots of functional things like Hairdressers, motor tax office and a nice area for lunch.

The exterior and interior architecture and decor, the multitude of different shops of all kinds, the large go to chains, the everything under 1 roof vibe, the assortment of restaurants and cafes, the water fountain performances outside with even more to see and do including a huge beautiful movie cinema right next to a McDonald's and at least 15 other food choices, a pub and a buffet.... You are missing nothing here. This place is for everyone, it's not for rich people or mall rats like complainers say. It is spacious and has a huge indoor parking lot built better than most and yes there are maps. This place was done so well it's hard to complain anything and keep a straight face. Dundrum is so fun, elegant and beautiful. It's a beautiful weekly must. It is missing nothing. Ps Go here on Christmas and it's a wonderland too.

My car was damaged in their car park because of the centre's very outdated standards. They refused to pay for the damage caused - their excuse: the place was built in 2005 before the current standards were in place. An uncaring, mean, unfair management with no sense of social responsibility to their disabled customers whatsoever. Appalling! Reflects really badly on the owners of the centre. I made a complaint to the UK owners about my treatment there but they haven't even bothered to respond. Beware parking there. Won't be shopping there again.
