Ok, I agree that the quality of the merchandise found at Topman isn't great in relation to the price. Not to mention the wear and tear an average guy will put a garment through in the span of its lifetime (which is often relatively short) might not make any piece a wise investment. But. So what. People who shop at Topman aren't looking for "statement" or "classic" investment pieces. And who are we kidding, who does that at all?
The men who shop at Topman are students and young professionals who are looking for items that are trendy and a little fashion-forward. Sure, there's a lot of guys out there who want this look so one might end up looking like every other bloke on the block, but who can criticize men for doing the same exact thing that women do? We all want to look cool, and right now, but we don't want to spend a shit ton of money trying to do so.
I also think that Topman has some really cool, hip stuff. Their basics are well done and there is a great selection, especially of denim. They even have suiting, which might not stand the test of time but who's thinking about tomorrow when you have an interview at a design firm today? read more
