My previous vet had retired and sold their practice. I needed a new vet for my kitten. I called…read moreabout six or seven area vets and drove to three for an initial visit (for which I was willing to pay) just to get a feel for the atmosphere, staff behavior, and the doctors' "bedside manner" with me and my cat. And so, after that research, I chose Town & Country for my cat's needs. I have not been disappointed. The facility is modern, clean, and quiet. The doctors and staff are professional and friendly. No complaints.

I am writing this review to warn other pet owners…read more On December 10, 2025, I brought my dog Maximus for a health check thinking it might be teeth related... he had lumps by his mouth and then they discovered more lumps and said we had to do some lab work / it might be something bad. Bloodwork and cytology were ordered. I asked to wait for lab results before starting medication. I was advised to begin meloxicam (Metacam) and Clavamox immediately. Also stated plus it's not expensive...( life is priceless ) IF THEY WOULD HAVE WAITED FOR THE LAB WORK TO COME IN FIRST THEY WOULD HAVE SEEN HOW DANGEROUS THE PRESCRIPTION WAS FOR MY 4 pound dog because of his preexisting condition that they didn't know and I didn't know about !!!! My dog took it for TWO days and DIED in my arms within days... his health declined so rapidly before my eyes it was awful, horrific experience. When diagnostic results became available, they showed significant liver abnormalities, elevated SDMA indicating kidney compromise, pancreatitis, thrombocytopenia, and lymphoma -- conditions that increase risk with NSAID use. I wasn't informed about the dangers and side effects of MELOXICAM !! I am not posting this lightly. I believe pet owners deserve full information and the opportunity to make informed decisions before medications are started. VET Bill was $574.91 Medical Examination - sick appointment $91.12 1 Fine Needle Aspirate -In Hosp. $27.29 Lab Cytology Pathologist review $181.99 1 Lab - Cbc, Chem - $186.58 Meloxicam - Metacam 10ml (1.5mg/ml) $46.10 Clavamox Drops $ 41.83 Please ask questions and consider requesting lab results before agreeing to treatment. MAXIMUS DIDn't have to die this way !!! My 4 pounds chihuahua Maximus only 9 years old.. small dogs are know to live to 15-20 years... Shortened my dog's life instead of extending it. He died December 15 , 2025 ...

A Heartbreaking Experience After Nine Years of Trust…read more We had been bringing our beloved 9-year-old dog to this veterinary clinic for nine years, but over time, we noticed a significant decline in the quality of care. Staff turnover was frequent, and we felt the veterinarians did not spend enough time reviewing our dog's medical history and thoroughly investigating health concerns. We also became increasingly concerned that the clinic seemed more focused on promoting products, paid services, and online purchases than on addressing serious medical issues. We were deeply troubled by how our dog was handled during blood draws. On several occasions, we heard our dog scream while being taken to the back. After returning home, our dog experienced severe stress, including shaking and diarrhea. When we emailed the clinic about our concerns, we felt dismissed rather than heard, as though our concerns were simply "pet parent drama." Our most devastating experience occurred when we brought our dog in one morning for weakness in the legs. Dr. Anderson diagnosed arthritis and prescribed pain medication and a joint supplement. That same evening, our beloved dog developed pulmonary edema and passed away. The emergency veterinarian told us our dog's lungs were filled with fluid. The following day, Dr. Anderson told us we had declined an X-ray, which we had not. After we challenged this, she apologized and acknowledged a communication failure. She explained that she had focused on our dog's leg weakness and stated that she had not noticed fluid in the lungs. This left us with serious concerns about whether our dog's overall condition had been adequately assessed. We will never know whether earlier recognition could have changed the outcome, but losing our dog just hours after the appointment has left us heartbroken and searching for answers. We understand that not every medical outcome can be prevented. However, we believe our concerns deserved to be taken seriously and our dog deserved a thorough examination, careful attention, and compassionate care. After nine years of trust, we are devastated by what happened and by the unanswered questions and communication failures that followed. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this clinic. We encourage other pet owners to pay close attention to the quality of care, how thoroughly veterinarians investigate symptoms, how their pets are handled, and how the clinic responds to concerns. Nine years of trust should mean something. Sadly, our experience has shattered ours.

One signed up to purposely BE "our person" during our loss. She sat on the floor WITH US and talked us through everything. They had a special plate of treats. And when the doctor realized only one was preferred....she ran and got me the container so I could make my beloved pets last moments everything that he deserved. They gave us quiet time and privacy. And after....the entire staff who were there were waiting in the lobby in solidarity and support for us. It was meaningful beyond belief. I have told them how much it meant. But I want everyone else to know. Our remaining 3 pets are with them and you couldn't pay me to go anywhere else. Love you all.
