They seem ok until you have a problem with your pet then they can't help you at all. Very disappointing! Time to find someone else.

Gentle Doctor In-Home Veterinary Care

Gentle Doctor In-Home Veterinary Care

Oh my gggaaaahhhhh, I am so thankful that I found Dr. de Jong!…read more I have a 15-year-old black lab that I HATE taking to the vet. Between getting into the car, to the car ride itself, to the doctor taking her away from me on a slippery floor while I have to wait in the car, it's always a super stressful event - for both of us. It was getting to the point, however, that a vet visit was a necessity in order to get a prescription for her preventative medications, so I went on a hunt to find a visiting vet. Dr. de Jong (who introduced herself as "Kathy" - how friendly is that!) was very responsive to my messages and came out pretty quickly after I got in touch with her. Her nurse, Jill, was also a wonderful blessing. Both of them were just so kind and thorough, and did I mention kind? Friendly. Gentle (literally, like the name of her business!). They explained everything they were going to do before they did it, asked permission to place their items here or there, and were overall exceedingly pleasurable to deal with. They performed annual exams on all my pets, took blood, collected stool samples, administered vaccines, and did it all while trying to keep the pets as calm and comfortable as possible. What normally would be a days-long recovery from a traumatic vet visit, with my senior dog limping from tired muscles, and my cat rubbing his nose raw on the cat carrier, took only an hour. I can't recommend Kathy and Jill enough. If I could give more stars, I would! They are true angels! XOXOXO.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with the Cat Hospital of Media. From the moment…read moreI brought in my cat, Mabel, the entire staff treated both of us with an extraordinary level of compassion and understanding. We were facing the emotional weight of a serious diagnosis, and they made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel supported, informed, and hopeful. Dr. Pelltz was incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive--she helped create a clear timeline of Mabel's care and gave me guidance with empathy and precision. Every question I had (and there were many) was met with kindness, patience, and thoughtful answers. The team never made me feel rushed or dismissed, and they've continued to follow up and ask for updates even after Mabel's referral--something that speaks volumes about how much they care. Even when I brought up the idea of pre-medicating Mabel with gabapentin for future visits (after doing some of my own research), they were immediately receptive and worked with me to make it happen--getting us same-day access to help make her future appointments as calm and fear-free as possible. This practice truly goes above and beyond--not just in treating their feline patients, but in how they care for the humans who love them. I'm so grateful to have found them, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for deeply compassionate, cat-focused care. Thank you, Dr. Pelltz and team, for everything you've done for Mabel--and for me.

One signed up to purposely BE "our person" during our loss. She sat on the floor WITH US and talked us through everything. They had a special plate of treats. And when the doctor realized only one was preferred....she ran and got me the container so I could make my beloved pets last moments everything that he deserved. They gave us quiet time and privacy. And after....the entire staff who were there were waiting in the lobby in solidarity and support for us. It was meaningful beyond belief. I have told them how much it meant. But I want everyone else to know. Our remaining 3 pets are with them and you couldn't pay me to go anywhere else. Love you all.

Cluny will be 16 this year, he is no longer a young buck! This last month he has been to Unity 3 times as we discovered he has a collapsed lobe in his lung from chronic asthma. The explained the issues and solutions to me in a way I could understand and took the time to answer all my questions(there were a lot). I am forever grateful for the care the give my furry family members and I cannot recommend Unity Animal Hospital enough.

I was met with the kindest Vet, and I mean if your a dog owner you know... she knew. I was greeted with such kindness ( I am writing this in tears ) I was told what would happen when and gave us a couple last moments privately. I really could not have sent my lil lady Olive out any way better. I cannot recommend this anymore. It really is worth it. Olive didn't feel a thing at all and we held her. It was beautiful. UGH best EvEr. I love animals so much and this was the most honest honorable way. I one thousand recommend. * this review took me months to write because it did Olive broke my heart. * get the paw print.

EUTHANASIA (500 stars, A+): Moriah Hughson was wonderful on the phone during my intake call to Lap of Love. Her gentle voice and compassion for me and my dog was palpable. Dr. Karyl Hurley was wonderful when she came to my residence - she made my dog's last moments on this planet comfortable and the process went very quickly. Dr. Karyl wrapped my baby up in so many beautiful, fluffy blankets for her final departure from the house . I was honestly very concerned about the prospect of carrying my dog's dead body out of my house for the final time, but Dr. Hurley treated her body with the utmost respect and care and it was not nearly as traumatic as I anticipated. If you have the means, Lap of Love is the most peaceful and dignified way for your beloved family member to transition. Thank you, Dr. Karyl for gently escorting my dogter to the next dimension. CREMATION (2 stars): Now for the negative: I opted to have my dog's ashes sent directly to my house since my primary vet is a mobile vet and didn't have an "office" for the cremains to be sent to. I received an email on Feb, 8th from Leigh Skarzynski, the "Crematory Relationship Administrator" (this was two days after my dog was euthanized) saying it can take 10-14 days to receive the cremains back. Fast forward to 5 days after my dog passed - UPS shows up at my house unannounced on a Saturday (Feb 10) with a package that required a signature. I was asleep in my bed, depressed, and didn't feel like answering the door. I figured it was a condolence gift from someone and they would leave the package on my porch. When I later realized something was being delivered that required a signature I simply figured I would sign the authorization slip to "leave it" and then get it on Monday. On Monday (the 12th) I just so happened to be home when the UPS man came, and as he walked up to my stoop I could see "PET CREMAINS" in big print on the box in his hand. I immediately broke down in tears. I started crying out, "I didn't know, I didn't know she was coming!" How did no one tell me she was coming on Saturday? She sat on a truck for two days, and I could have had her sooner! The guilt was eating me up. I reached out to Leigh Skarzynski immediately to tell her that my pet's remains showed up completely unannounced and outside the anticipated delivery window, and she responded that an email had gone out Friday (Feb. 9th) at 6:30 pm. I scoured my email (and I even have UPS Delivery Manager) and wrote back that absolutely no notice was sent. She suggested it went to spam. FAST FORWARD to February 13th - 5 days after the first attempt to delivery my pet's ashes and 1 day after already having possession of them - and I get an email from UPS saying that the cremains would be delivered on February 14th. Are you f'ing kidding me?????? My dead dog (assuming there was no mix-up...) is back in my possession and now I am getting emails about her cremains arriving? I forwarded this message to Leigh, again, as proof that I DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT MY PET'S ASHES WERE ON THE WAY, and that email has gone un-answered, sent more than 24-hours ago now. I firmly believe that the crematory partner should email Lap of Love or the pet parent directly when they ship the cremains. I do not know how this utter lack of communication happened with such a sensitive situation, but it definitely pissed me off and left a sour taste in my mouth. I will say that the cremains themselves were packed with care and I am happy to have her home (again, assuming it's really her...the delivery drama planted a seed of doubt) but I really could have done without the delivery trauma and poor communication from LoL and their crematory partner, Abbey Glen.
