My grandsons received their food 45 min. later i still hadnt received mine. Rude woman tried to hand me a dried up sandwich laying on the top of the oven. Then she opened it up with her nasty hands..it wasnt even the right sandwich. She was yelling at me for not accepting it, was blaming the " new guy" who had nothing to do with my order. The cleanest PennStation I have ever been to. The customer service leaves a bit to be desired but I will sacrifice friendliness for cleanliness. The employees weren't rude, just not pleasant. Just very neutral. The food was hot and good. It didn't taste old or overcooked like other Penn Stations I have been to. The dining room was extremely clean. You could smell the cleaning solution when you walked in but not in a bad way. I went in during the height of lunch and the tables and floors were all very clean. The parking here is a little tight. They share a parking lot with several other businesses in the strip-mall and it just doesn't quite have adequate parking for all of those businesses. read more

I cannot express the depth of my disappointment today with an UberEats delivery order for a sub, cheesesteak, ONE order of fries and two drinks. It was a complete ripoff!!! These few items cost me a total of $65 -- $65??? (Two photos of one very unfilled sandwich, and another TINY cheesesteak, are attached. What you will see (and I experienced) included: 1) my sandwiches were woefully lacking in meats and all the veggies requested; 2) the french fries were wet and soggy; and 3) our driver had to return to the store to get two drinks that were never given to the driver!!! NEVER GIVEN??? This order was an abject failure from beginning to end, and the restaurant's very recent reviews should have warned UberEats that something was very, VERY wrong with this franchise. Bottom line? I WANT A COMPLETE REFUND. Not a credit, not a partial credit, but a 100 percent credit back to my PayPal business debit card Also, I want an UberEats investigation into this restaurant to determine how this horrific lapse in service and commensurate ridiculous pricing is to be addressed. ****I request action be taken for a full refund back to my PayPal business debit card by the end of the day. Really not impressed with this location. Staff isn't incredibly nice at all. I go to the Plainfield location always and forever. When you walk in there doors there are nice, loud greetings, and do the little extra. This one I did a web order. When I got there the cashier woman did not even acknowledge me. I stood for awhile til she noticed then she got me taken care of. My sandwich was chillin to the side the whole time next to her while I was ignored in the beginning. I asked for extra napkins in the bag (always ask in Plainfield and they are quick to put it in) this woman couldn't be bothered and told me "they're over there" and pointed over by the drinks. She got a cheesesteak and fries, and liked it. I tried the chicken teriyaki and some cheese bread. The sandwich was great- tender, tasty chicken, and lots of it, on good bread. I recently went here on lunch break because I started a new property on by Shadeland and I was really impressed with their customer service and friendliness! Wow, I love Penn Station but i expect good service. After ordering 3 sandwiches which added up to $40. While giving the order i explicitly asked 4 no banna peppers! My order was read back to me correctly. After getting home with my order, i realized both of cheese steak sandwiches both had banna peppers on them, of which only 1 was a major problem, because i cant eat them. I called and spoke to the manager of the store that at that moment was closed. I explained everything to her she looked up my order and said the only thing she could do was remake the sandwich if i brought it back during store hours which would be the next day. I told her that was inconvenient. " Well i don't know what you want me to do?" I told her i understood and i want them to do BETTER! I like coming to this location. I like this one. They're fairly speedy, the staff behind the counter recognizes us and the orders of fries are always very generous. It's not overly clean, but the tables are decently well maintained and the soda fountain isn't sticky or covered in straw wrappers. There's not a whole lot to say, really. One girl which was blonde with glasses and had tattoos on her wrist was very rude to one customer and I. I just went there for lunch today with my wife on our lunch break. She got her food and 20 minutes later I still did not have mine. I told the manager and he went back and could not figure it out, he told me they lost the ticket. So after originally ordering 20 minutes prior they started my order all over again. The manager apologized and offered to give me A coupon for a free sandwich next time. He never came back around, so we just left without the coupon. I came into order carry out on 3/25/2020 at 8:30pm and there was customers waiting in line. The team had the grill pulled away from the wall. I asked what was going on. A person in line responded and said they were trying to light the grill. The whole place smelled like gas fumes. One younger employee folded a piece of paper, lit it on fire stuck his body underneath the grill and tried to light it. I immediately left because it was a safety hazard. For a fast food restaurant, this Penn Station location does a pretty good job. Although I've only been there once, the staff went out of their way to make sure that I had a great lunch. This was especially true of the management staff, who allowed me to tailor the menu to fit my discerning tastes (I created a chicken Reuben salad!). Whether it is a fast food restaurant or the finest of dining experiences, I am most likely to return when I see staff members working hard to meet the desires of their customers. Aside from the great staff and food, the restaurant was clean, and service was provided in a timely manner. In all, my meal at Penn Station was well worth it. Didn't care for what we saw on their menu, so we asked for what ANY deli should carry-roast beef subs. They don't have them-they don't carry roast beef! They offered us corned beef, which NEITHER of us care for. WTF kind of deli doesn't carry ROAST BEEF? We walked out without another word, trashed our useless coupons, & will never go to any Penn Station now! When the right manager is there this place is awesome a well oiled machine....if not forget it!!! Can't hear or understand 2 of the staff member tonight.
