NEVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE…read more I am being generous in the one star purely for the fact that all of my items in the storage unit remained intact and free of mold. Where do I begin......you would think that customer service is something that would be important to a business, not this one. This woman no matter how nice you are to her always acts as if you are inconveniencing her and god forbid you need her help or have a question and you interrupt her while she's in her lair with those horrible yappy dogs that run around barking and at anyone who is in their storage unit My unit was put under my boyfriends name since he received my movers while i was away and even after asking her repeated times she never switched the account into my name and the direct deposit kept coming out of my boyfriends account. Not a big deal in retrospect but it's a small fix and that's her job. I called today and asked what i would need to do to cancel the storage and she rudely commented "did you give me 30 days notice?" It's not an effin apartment. I have never heard of a notice to cancel a storage unit. I will be taking my business elsewhere and suggesting others to do so as well.

Cindy in the office was very nice and accommodating to me. I needed to rent a unit for my daughter…read morebecause I'm moving out of my unit. They were closed, but she helped me anyway, and made it possible to get my unit emptied before I owe another month payment. She didn't have to do that especially considering she just had surgery the day before. For the woman complaining about the dogs, I hope you realize that is the woman's home, so of course her sweet little pups are with her.

YOUR THINGS WILL GET SOLD WITHOUT NOTICE (or "stolen" as the owner says) IF YOU LEAVE THEM HERE…read more The owner will say they got stolen, but there's way too consistent of a pattern for the crime to be that rampant. OLF is the only place on the island I've ever had anything of mine go missing. I'm guessing the other Yelp reviews on here are friends of his trying to get his ratings to look good. This has happened to me twice at OLF, and here is my most recent experience: I had been storing building materials in a unit for a few years for a project that had been on hold because I've been traveling a lot for work. I moved most of my things out, but left a $4500, 500lb hotel grade wood stove and a claw foot cast iron bath tub in my unit thinking I'd be back in a week with help because they were just too heavy to move alone. My wife was pregnant and we wound up needing to have a c-section, so for several weeks I was more concerned about taking care of her and our new baby than dealing with my wood stove and tub. When I went back to pick my things up, there were new locks on my unit. I texted Mike, who said "I moved your tub, you can come pick it up any time. I have knowledge of a wood stove". This is interesting for several reasons: a. I didn't give any notice that I was moving out of my units. Why did he go into it to move my tub? Does he just go into everyone's unit to check to see what cool stuff is in there to sell? HE DID NOT CALL OR GIVE ME ANY NOTICE THAT HE WAS GOING INTO MY UNIT. b. Where did my $4500 wood stove go? The thing is 500lbs...you'd need a truck with a lift gate to get it out of there plus a couple guys to help. This is not something that just walks away. The most likely thing that happened is that he went into my unit without notice, decided to keep or sell my wood stove, and just hadn't gotten around to selling my tub before I arrived. He posts lots of things for sale, so I'm guessing he treats people's stored items as his inventory to sell. Experience from five years ago: I stored a 26-foot trailer here with several hundred dollars worth of tools in it. A few months later I went back to check on it, and EVERYTHING was stolen out of it. All the tools were gone. They even stole the trailer lights off the back. He said it was thieves living in the yard (if there's so much crime here, why are there no cameras he can give you footage from when things are stolen?), which at the time I believed him. At this point with my most recent experience, I think it was probably him. But even if it wasn't him and crime is such a serious problem here, why has he done nothing to correct it? So, I'm an idiot for storing things there a second time. And you're an idiot of you store anything there yourself. If it's not bolted down and has any value, it's gone. I'll file a police report, but there's not anything I can prove. I posted a Yelp review about the trailer experience. After a few years he said he had the problem fixed and asked me to pull it down, which I did. I am SUPER sorry to the community for pulling the review down before because this is clearly a regular pattern of behavior at OLF. I hate to think how many other people have been ripped off here.

We rented a portable storage unit from Freeland Warehousing and Storage for a garage project. We…read moreemptied everything out of the garage and into the storage unit, which kept it dry and safe. After cleaning and painting the garage, we slowly started moving items back into the garage. Have doors open on both ends of the unit was invaluable. It was easy to work with the crew. There was no impact to our driveway. I would use this company and this solution again for another project.

If you're the kind of person who needs to put your things in storage without having to get to it…read morefor long periods of time, this is for you. Terry and his driver were always pleasant and courteous, and I felt I got a good deal with container. I was also impressed by the containers themselves; they the same material that shipping cargo is made of - corrugated metal - and my unit opened on both ends. The warehouse is ginormous, and the containers are stacked. And when you need to get to your things, just give Terry 2 or more days' notice, and he'll have your unit placed on the floor, tagged with your name. He was very flexible and accommodating to my schedule. He's been in the storage business many years. I was in transition, moving from Freeland to Seattle, so this worked out well for me. I eventually ended up moving out of state, and to the very end, he remained very very accommodating to my schedule with the movers. I would certainly do business with him again. His storage was a great find!
