Food is more expensive which is to be expected with rising costs but the quality is almost non existent. Got a bbq burger but with chicken. The chicken was rubbery like it was boiled from frozen and the sandwich was conspicuously in contaminated by bbq flavor. Fries were good and for once I didn't ask for less fries but certainly got less. $20 tastes extra disappointing when you can't afford the alcohol to wash it down with. Sad. They do a good burger special on Mondays. Until that price rises again I'll go back for that but nothing else.

For our mains we got the alaskan cod and chips and Blackened cod tacos and loved it all. They really know how to prepare tasty cod! The Alaskan cod and chips had the perfect crispy texture and my blackened cod tacos had all the flavor profiles you need. A hint of heat in the Thai chili slaw with a creamy avocado, Crema and the brightness of mango salsa and of course a touch of sour with the HOUSE made pickled red onions. Even better they let me substitute corn tortillas in for the flour. But you can't mix and match your proteins. I didn't need to because I loved both of my blackened cod tacos. The atmosphere is in the name: cozy Gastropub. They have a plethora of beers on tap, but parking is solely on the street so a little bit more challenging than picking your beer but I don't think it would be too challenging if you're up for a small walk. It's located in the less touristy marina area of PT. Or, in other words, if you take a left (rather than the traditional right) getting off the ferry it's about a mile away. It's definitely worth the hunt though! The interior of the taphouse is light and bright, with plenty of beer, wine, and cider to choose from (as well as NA bevvies and tons of snack options too). But the real gem here is their beachfront beer garden! With plenty of seating and colorful outdoor umbrellas, the place seriously made us feel like were were somewhere beachy and semi-tropical, especially on the warm summer day of our visit. We enjoyed a couple of lazy hours at a well-shaded picnic table, with a cool breeze blowing and a tasty beer or two. This will definitely be on our Port Townsend rotation from now on!

Interesting setup where you can get food from the place next door--kind of like a starbucks/barnes & noble setup. This seemed fine until folks started to come in for drinks, at which point it got hard to hear the performers. I hear the place has new owners. TBH, it could use some sprucing up. The plaster is quite literally falling off the ceiling in a couple spots. None of us used the restrooms, so not sure what shape they are in. All in all, I'm glad it's available as an option, and hopefully the new folks will see fit to spruce it up a bit.

The chicken wings weren't a bad addition either. Bartender/server was very friendly and helpful when ordering. I do think it maintains daily with just one employee behind the bar. When on the Port Townsend waterfront, it is an option to stop in for the "almost saloon" setting.
