Peninsula nails is my favorite spot to get my nails done. They offer a large amount of services including Gel-X which isn't offered at most places. The staff is super friendly and has conversations with the clients which I have only experienced here. I have always enjoyed my time here and am always taken care of. The good: I came for a walk-in and they were accommodating despite it being a busy three-day weekend. I got a gel pedicure and love the result! It is clean, smooth and was done very efficiently but thoroughly. I was seated immediately. They have 6 pedicure seat stations and 3 manicure ones (though manicures can be done at pedicure stations too). The interior is on the smaller side but it isn't cramped. There is a lot of natural light inside and they play relaxing pop and indie music. There's plenty of parking. I am not sure my nail technician's name but she was friendly (as well as the other ladies there). There were a lot of gel colors to pick from. OPI was the brand I went with (color #97) and it's gorgeous! The bad: A gel pedicure was $50. This is average now but it is still quite the price to pay especially when you consider tip on top of this. I didn't get any leg massage with this pedicure like I got with others at other places for the same cost. I wish more nail salons had online appointment schedulers. The interesting: They accept Venmo and Zelle. I paid cash. I am unsure if they take credit card. read more

Discriminates against disabled people. I brought my mother in law this afternoon to get a manicure. There were 2 employees, one was attending to one customer. I let the other employee know my mother in law needed a manicure. She was using her walker. The salon was empty. No one was coming in. She told me they were fully booked, and she could not accommodate my mother in law. Never have we ever been told we would not be served. She looked ay my mother in law and her walker and discriminated against her. Zero stars. Terrible customer service. read more

Go see Sophie! She's really fast, is very funny, and is very passionate about her craft! Usually from other salons, my nails don't really last too long but with her they at least last around three weeks. Also, whenever I get gems, she glues them down, so good that they don't even budge. And trust me, I use my hands all the time because I work with my hands and I'm also clumsy. So for me to say these nails and gems, they definitely last. The other ladies that work there are awesome! I am usually very picky with my nail spa, and with all the things I've heard in the news about infections that could occur after visiting a nail spa, I'm very skeptical of choosing a new nail salon. But this place is turning into my regular manicurist spot! I like the service and the ambiance, and the location has a very good feel to it. I go to Sophia and I like her designs. I added a photo of my nails after two weeks. Overall, I give it a high score. read more

Since this nail salon has such excellent reviews, I decided to try it again after having a negative experience years ago. I walked in during regular posted business hours and two nail stylists were working with one client. I explained I was there for gel removal and a manicure. I asked if they were busy and they said yes sorry about that and turned around and walked away, continued talking with their client. There was no option to make an appointment, return later, nor asked or told if I'd like to wait a few minutes. This dismissive and unprofessional behavior is exactly what I experienced years ago. Although I did not have the experience of the actual nail salon service today to share a review on, the experience I had years back was not a great manicure or pedicure. I hope that they will become a bit more communicative with their clients and invite them in or explain there may be a few minutes wait, explain options such as schedule-only appts, etc. This is not the type of experience I was hoping for. read more

I've been getting my nails done here for a few years now and I've been very happy with the service. I usually get gel nails and they always last a good amount of time and they are done very nicely. They are also really quick here, I'm usually in and out within an hour. I do call ahead to make sure they have time to take me. If you do choose to go here, ONLY SEE LEE. She's the only one here who knows that they're doing. No problems when I see her, but this last time I saw another women and there were countless issues. First off this took 3 hours and it looks absolutely awful. The lighter colored nail (they should be the same color) is more of the shape I wanted, but as you can see my thumbs look nothing alike!! These were the ugliest, most chunky, unmatching, nails I have ever received! I was late for the rest of my appointments because it took so long and I wasn't even happy in the end! They even had the audacity to have me pay $35 for this. It was so ugly I had it removed a couple days later FROM ANOTHER PLACE because I couldn't bare to look at that abomination. read more

The bad: I kind of wish there were TVs to watch or some wall art. The walls are sparse. My niece said the tech filed her cuticles a little too closely at times and that it was slightly painful. The interesting: You get a discount if you pay in cash. There's a parking garage you can park in that isn't too far of a walk.

The fact that the glow is still visible after doing a whole mile in the sun and wiping my face with my shirt or my bare hand is impressive. It's like a moisturizer I can't rub off. So dewy! Now, my skin is sensitive, so on my most recent one I unfortunately got a lil pimple by my nose. I had really dry skin coming for the 3rd facial so Ayumi did her best to rehydrate the dull, but my skin juuuust had to act up. The moment I told Ayumi what happened she called me back in to have a quick "soothing" treatment for that pesky lil' pimple and she definitely made sure to address the minor sebum build up issue from the possible irritation that happened. The fact that she even called me in to address it was very thoughtful and I can tell Ayumi is very genuine. I honestly look forward to coming back to her every month. The massage and the hot stones during the facial feel soooo nice. I feel so relaxed every time I come here--especially after long 12 hour work shifts and nursing school clinicals/classes.
