Woman at the window did not know how to help us. Was very rude and told us she couldn't help us. Complete waste of time. Go anywhere else.

Gig Harbor. Known as 'The Maritime City', is how it sounds. It is a harbor but I'm not sure how…read moremany gigs happen there. Stopped through here to walk around before an event in the area. It seemed like a sort of active town little with all the needs such as little markets, offices and a few restaurants. There are a few things to do in town - Godola tours as well as looking at ships and a preserved sea farers dock. An "Audio brewery" that features audio vinyl's to be listened to and learned about, nearby trails, boat rentals and more should you really be looking to spend time in the area. There is history in Gig harbor - There is the Gig Harbor Boat Shop where I suppose you can get your boat needs and info if you're on the water with your person vessel. Wilkinson Farm Park which features a historic barn with trails nearby and Historic Net sheds which has among large boat nets for catching fish and other aquatic things, lots of preserved boat tools and essentials for fisherman who resided in the area. Gig Harbor is a nice little stop and likely a cool place to live if you're about the Maritime life.

Enjoyed exploring the downtown area. I saw a distillery and some cafes. Interestingly, I learned…read morefrom the stepping into the visitors center that it was also use to be the home for the Skansie brother's. They were from Croatia in the late 1800s known for their craft in fishing. It would be nice to explore the area by boat.....someday

I understand the other reviewers (Matthew M's) point. People are getting pretty crazy on the road…read morethese days with gestures and even using their vehicle as a "tool". And honestly, I travel all over the country on business. Drivers in WA and OR are among the rudest and most aggressive. Sad to say as I am a lifelong resident of WA. On the other hand, the men & women in traffic control for WSP have a difficult and risky job. When they pull you or me over for speeding, which most of us do on occasion, they have no idea who or what is in the car they are approaching. When I was a kid I thought they were jerks. Fast forward 40 years and guess what? I was the jerk. In my youth I always had an explanation, excuse or story. Or I was certain their technology was somehow in error. Why? Because our society has conditioned us to believe it must be someone else's fault and that we are all victims. Do yourself a favor. Cut these guys (& gals) some slack. If they pull you over it isn't for their health. Own your error. Don't concoct some bogus story. Don't argue. Be pleasant and polite and wish them a good day. If you are not an ass they may even give you a break. Trust me. It will be less stressful for both of you. They go home to their families safe. You go home to your family safe. We all win.
