This park has lots of room for playing fetch, exploring, and running your dog. I don't remember if it offered bags to pick up after your dog but we had our own. This park really has a lot to offer. The best dog park in Northern Idaho by far!…read more What it has going for it: - large and small dog areas - dog drinking fountain in each area (human drinking fountain in large dog area) - great fencing, entry areas & gates - plenty of seating - lights so you can take your dog when it gets dark - plenty of parking right next to dog park - canopy in both runs - some obstacles in large dog run - poop bags provided - concrete walkway (no mud when it rains or during snow melt) - pea gravel ground cover (no mud when it rains or during snow melt) - bathrooms for humans right next door - vet across the street (in case of an emergency) What it has going against it: - it could use more shade The town of Ponderay did a great job with this dog park. It hits every mark that makes a dog park...great. If you check out my the reviews I have done been to over 175 dog parks through out the years, so I have seen the worst and some really great ones. This dog park is easily in my top 10 of all the dog parks I have been to. Kudos to Ponderay for doing it right (better late than never), now it is up to its citizens that use it, to keep it great.

The pool is full of chlorine but obviously that's just a safety hazard to protect against children that swim in the pool. Nothing special about this park for the swim yard but it does bring Brack and memories but I would recommend it for anyone in the area to bring their kids at least once

We stayed this last weekend at round lake with some friends and family. We rented three sites next…read moreto each other. As soon as we arrived the people in front of us quickly got stuck because of the boulders that are placed everywhere. The people that work there sat in the golf cart and proceeded to watch them for thirty minutes. My spouse had to help with 3 others to jiggle a boulder so they can gain an inch of room. The area where they ask you to put up tents on are white rock filled area next to our fire pit and picnic table. We were asked to not use the "ground" dirt to camp but did point out many tents using this. The rules are ridiculous, no hammocks , and if you are disabled and use a cane like I do good luck maneuvering around the unnecessary costly boulders that are not an improvement but a waste of cost. Never again will I or seventeen others visit again. Enjoy your boulders.

Tip: Running right along the Spokane River, you'll find a paved path that's great for either walking or running :-) This park is a good place to head for if you want to go for a run, a walk, or just spend some quiet time strolling along the path along the river.  There's lots of free parking too.

The pool and hot tubs were very clean and well taken care of. You can purchase breakfast/lunch there as well. I believe the Ranch is actually ran by all volunteers and members. It looked like on certain days of the week they have events such as movie nights or game nights. Restrooms were clean and people are very friendly and welcoming. Totally would recommend bringing sun screen, bug spray and a towel to sit on. Being naked means being vulnerable, but it also means being free to be our true selves.

The clubhouse second floor (where there are about 10 rooms available for rent) has a wood floor was in need of serious refinishing work. The overnight rooms are just that; rooms with a bed and a couple chairs. There is one bathroom for the entire upstairs, and no indoor shower facilities. The upstairs common area featured several boxes of old board games, like you would find at the local Goodwill. The whole place had a very 1970s feel to it, and not in a cool retro way. The "cafe" hardly deserves that moniker. There is a kitchen in the clubhouse, and members take turns as volunteer cooks. It is NOT a restaurant in the commonly accepted sense of the word. Finally, YES! I know that nudist resorts are not the same as swinger resorts, but unless you want to hang out with a group where the average age is north of 75, go somewhere else. Please also note that the two positive reviews are from 10 years ago.
