To see the actual location, refer to Google Maps. A lot to like here, and it's all dry camping. But if you are used to metro area conveniences, be ready to drive 20+ mins, with Suncrest being the better option, vice Reardan or Wellpinit. It's a pretty drive, wherever you decide to go. Sites here are spaced nicely for semi-privacy; meaning, it's nice to have a quiet space, but it's also nice to see neighbors 30 yards away. A full camp is a safe camp this far out. If you have a travel trailer, don't get Site 4. It's set up is 'against the grain' for the 1-way road, and the only reason we made it in was because of our smaller RV. Big rigs? No way. They have these--I guess--decorative rocks to define each camp site. They're in the way, mostly. Otherwise, if you have booked online, it's plug and play. We got to our site; name on the reserved placard; and let the relaxation begin. Easy...

The highway isn't too heavily traveled, so the sites are fairly quiet, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Tables, BBQ grills and fire rings...plus very clean vault toilets and running water. Being in view of the highway, the sites don't feel very secluded or private -- but that is more than made up for by the fact that directly across the highway is a little all-natural sandy-bottomed hot spring, right on the banks of the Payette River. As far as I know you can soak any time, day or night, in a little rectangular pool that used to be part of a bathhouse or something back in the day. We walked over from our campsite after dark, and hiked down for a very relaxing soak. This place is not hardcore, remote or rugged....but I still give it 5 stars because it's clean, beautiful and EASY! And sometimes, that's what you want! I would definitely stay here again...but if you don't want to camp out, you can use the springs for free by parking in the little day use lot at the trailhead, just across from the campground.

We waited too late to book the KOA so we went searching for a new campground as we wanted to bring our trailer so we could fill the fridge with Trader Joe's products. After doing some research, we discovered this RV park, which looked newer as we didn't remember seeing it before. The reviews were mixed, so I was a little concerned, but it was only two nights. We booked a specific site and on upon arrival around 7 PM Friday we quickly checked in and directed to our site. My first impression was "wow this place is pristine and clean". The grass was perfectly manicured green. The sites were concrete pads that were very clean level and well spaced out. I used the bathroom just to check it out, and it was also spotless. The location was ideal for shopping and to head downtown to Nordstrom's and dinner. You're also super close to a Trader Joe's, Safeway, Target, DSW, World Market and tons of restaurants like Olive Garden, Red Robin and other chains and local places. My only complaint was that the entire RV park is lit-up like a parking lot all night. I can see how this is great for security, but if you want to sleep with the windows open, that might be bothersome for you. Our AC was being fickle, so we did need the windows open and it was quite bright, but it won't be enough to deter me from using this place in the future. I definitely recommend this location for an in-town RV stay.

With plenty of old growth trees, it has a rather 'woodsy' feel, which is what one wants in a camping experience. Everyone is friendly. Staff, campers, folks at the resto, were all smiles and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here, but I have my eye on perhaps visiting mid-week, or in the shoulder seasons for a more quiet experience. However, if I were a few decades younger, I would have partied my a** off, and would be here every other weekend...

Archery, Water activities, antique wooden canoes, high ropes, low ropes, giant swing, zip line, overnight camping. If all the standard awesomeness isn't enough for a kid there are also "extra spicy options" where you can spend a week horse packing or go whitewater rafting. You can rock climb or learn to sail. The facilities are rustic. Cabins are open air. Each unit has a bathhouse/shower and a unit lodge with fireplace. The place is kept special and detached from the world and craziness by songs, traditions, and accessibility by boat only. That is right, to get to camp you have to ride a ferry to the main dock. My kids will one day participate in Council Fire, ride the boat, and love camp like I still do.

They told us they will allow male students to sleep in female students cabins if they claim that pronoun. Bathroom and showers are Co-Ed. Our camper was 10 years old and has no desire to go back. Completely and totally ruined their first summer camp experience .

If you have a trailer and pay a membership fee for amenities, this is not for you. We live out of our trailer and this place had 0 of the amenities typically offered/included. They didn't have sewage hookups which was inconvenient but we knew in advance. What we didn't know is that the closest bathroom was closed for renovation so we had to walk a country mile to get to a working bathroom. Not great when ya gotta go. The laundry facility was also closed so we had to find a place in town if we wanted to wash a load. They also only had 1 working dump station which had an hour long line. Overall it was not a bad campground for pure tent camping, which we weren't doing.
