However, each space is perfectly groomed with lots of grass and plenty of space. The community areas are very nice, the dog park, the bath houses, campfire areas, and just general seating. The shuttle service to the casino and nearby. Businesses is a wonderful convenience. The services include trash pick ups. There are even adorable cottages available to rent with golf carts. The property is very walkable, with a convenience store nearby. The community center is very lovely and the staff very helpful. The only suggestion I have for improvement, to get to the dog park, you have to walk all the way to the end of the row. It would be nice to have a pass-through in the middle of the long rows.

When we arrived, not only was Steve there to show us to our spot, but several others currently staying. In the park were helpful in spotting some close calls and helping get us positioned just right in our spot. For our rig size, it was a close call and tight fit getting in, but once in our spot it was perfect. They got us in site 11 no problem. Is it an impersonal overly polished concrete and blacktop parking lot style RV Park with perfect level geometry/symmetry everywhere you look? No, but it was one of the best and most relaxing locations we've been so far. It's in the middle of a game preserve, so there are numerous deer routinely wandering around the area. Ahhh nature! As far as quiet goes, evenings were like a cemetery (in a good way). Just lots of peace and quiet to enjoy your surroundings. And the sunsets on the dock & beach! They are about as idyllic as you can get for lakefront property. We spent time swimming, kayaking, and just siting our on the dock enjoying the sunshine. I can speak for the internet/WiFi as we had great T-Mobile reception and so were only on our own hotspots the entire time. 60Mbit down / 8.9Mbit up. Perfectly suited to my purposes.

The entire lake shore was littered in rundown boats, kayaks, jet skis, buoys and other debris. And I do mean covered, I felt like I was looking at a post apocalyptic resort scene. Of the 12 guests camping while we were there, it was incredibly obvious that 9 were living long term in the campsites, resulting in a trashy rundown atmosphere, as well as the uncomfortable feeling you were encroaching on someone's home, rather than a mutual campsite. The owner was basically MIA and the person who I suspect is managing the property drove around the lot constantly but didn't offer much help or direction. It was obvious that they had recently renovated the public bathrooms, which included showers but when we paid four dollars for a hot shower (as advertised), there was only ice cold water. The general impression and feeling was unsafe, uncomfortable, and incredibly disorganized. Our children kept saying they felt like they were on an episode of Trailer Park Boys, which pretty much sums up the experience.

They really seem dedicated to having a nice campground. We were really impressed by the camp kitchen. We didn't bring anything we needed to cook, (besides the hot dogs) so we didn't end up using it but it looked nice/useful. If we happen to find ourselves in this area again we will definitely use it! It even had a microwave! The bathrooms were always clean and had warm water for showers. The cabin itself was nice. We rented a 6 person cabin. It was roomy with a double bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. The beds had the classic cabin style mattresses, but not too bad. It had a little heater attached, which was nice when it got a little chilly in the evening. Overall a very pleasant and nice experience! (A personal favorite: the front porch swing on the cabin: such a cute touch)

We are not interested in a membership so our charge was $75.00 a night, Labor Day 2023. For that there is so much to do, especially for children so actually a very good value. The office is only open from 10am to 6pm, so if you need anything outside of those hours you are out of luck. We arrived at 7pm and the paperwork didn't even have the code to use the restrooms. Don't expect any of the fun activities or atmosphere that you usually get at a KOA, this was comparable to a state campground. Maybe even worse as there is usually a ranger around if you need help.
