Absolutely terrible. Had to pack up and leave on the second day due to a propane leak. Never got a phone call from management, ended up driving 6 hours home rather than risk my family's health. I've left several messages since without any response. The office is only open from 10am to 6pm, so if you need anything outside of those hours you are out of luck. We arrived at 7pm and the paperwork didn't even have the code to use the restrooms. Don't expect any of the fun activities or atmosphere that you usually get at a KOA, this was comparable to a state campground. Maybe even worse as there is usually a ranger around if you need help. read more

We have been staying at KOA's for the last 2 months and Spokane KOA is the worst of them all. Office is only open until 2 pm on weekends and 4 pm weekdays how is this helpful to arrivals? The spaces are not well kept with all weeds between sites. Bathrooms are not cleaned daily and need repairs. Pool and office area were closed for repairs but never saw anyone working on them. Dog poop was seen everywhere as long term stays don't seem to care. Don't recommend this campground read more

Tried to make a reservation and the phone rings and they just hang up extremely frustrating called the local number and the 1-800 number I'm assuming it goes back to the local where they just hang up! And as I'm reading the reviews it looks like everybody is having similar problems KOA used to be so awesome those days are over! read more

Right off the freeway, big open campground. The site we were given was part of a row of sites with nice picnic tables with a metal cover over them. Spots are close together but have nice grass, plenty of room to park and a good size tent spot. The pool was open and very nice! Kids movie playing at 9pm outside, community campfire for our s'mores (fire ban in effect so no individual fires). Overall this campground is a really nice KOA. The drawback is the train tracks right behind it, with frequent trains and whistles. Otherwise a great experience! read more

A nice and comfy RV site. However, it is really close to the train tracks so it is quite noisy all the time. It seems like there is a train passing by every 15 minutes, even late at night. If you are going to stay here, remember to bring earplugs. Otherwise, the site is really nice overall with a pool, game room, dog park, and other nice amenities! read more

This place is an absolute dump.There is not a single photo that has any resemblance to the facilities on site. I do not know when or where those photos were taken but I can't find them. The bathrooms are absolutely trashed. No maintenance people on-site, no toilet paper. Being very competent campers, we came prepared with our own supplies and we had to clean one of the stalls before it was fit to use. This is the worst k o a I have ever seen. The KOA in Spokane Washington is a nice little pitstop to help you get to where you're going. It wouldn't be bad to spend a week and here as well. The spots are nice and big and there's cute little patios with tables, chairs, swinging seats, and nice little fire pits. It is in an industrial area so there really isn't anything to explore outside of the park within walking distance. The playground is a little bit dated, but they were in the middle of constructing some really cool tent camping areas along the back wall. There is a train not too far away, But far away to where I actually enjoyed the sound. Long pull through spot in all of the amenities were appreciated as we rolled in and rolled out within 12 hours. I arrive at 630 pm after driving seven hours with newborn and dog in the car. This usually is not an issue, you just pick up your packet at the office and head to your site. This time there was not packet, again not a problem, you should just be able to call the staff on site or text the number they give you available until 9pm. Except after several attempts to call and a few texts, no response. So now I have a crying kid, hungry dog, hungry myself, and I need to hook up so I can start getting people fed and get to sleep. I know I have a pull through site, check the remaining reservations, and pick an empty pull through and hook up. After getting everything going I call to leave a message to let them know where I am in the KOA. This gentleman Alex finally picks up, seems friendly enough. Says I can stay where I am, makes sense because I am there for just one more day. No sense in unhooking and setting up again when I am not even spending time there the next day either, just needed a camping spot to travel into Spokane. No talk of extra charges yet, just "okay, enjoy your stay". Next day around mid day I receive a call that is checking from the calls we placed yesterday, at the end the lady says we are going to have to charge you extra cause your in a premium spot. This premium spot differs from a regular spot by adding a swinging bench.... I communicated that this seems like bad practice because I was not taken care of yesterday and had spoke with someone that said I am good where I am. She said she will hold off charging me, but I should speak with the office when I get back. Again I was gone for the rest of the day, so the responsibility of setting it straight somehow falls on me. Any who, saw some employees a few time never bringing anything up or even acknowledging me. Left today and they charged me for forgetting to have a site for me and choosing a pull through with a bench. That's bad practice and certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. Do right by the customer, especially if you make a mistake. Own it. Not even a discount on the spot! read more

Yes, the lots are close to each other & there is a train right beside it. The train is bearable & doesn't really come by as often as listed. What makes this a 5 star for us, on our way to this KOA our RV decided it would blow a gasket which resulted in needing a new engine. We had all ready booked our reservation prior to "Myrtle" acting up . The staff here was above exceptional & worked with us while we were waiting for our engine to be delivered. Definitely an A+ class staff. read more

Just had the worst experience at this KOA or any campground, ever, and management refused to do a thing about it. We were firing up the BBQ to have dinner outside after a long drive and the guy from AZ next to us in a half-$million behemoth motorhome had hired a guy to come in and pressure wash it. It was deafening and we could not use our picnic table for a nice peaceful outside dinner. I called to complain several times, and finally my husband went to complain and ask for a refund. After all, we paid $67 for this ******* site. How can people be so rude? We stayed here last week and it was fine; never again. Mgmt could have at least offered to make things right since we were repeat customers. KOA headquarters (hindquarters?) and Trip Advisor will also hear about this. read more

We usually enjoy visiting KOA's. However, this one was unclean, and the website was deceiving on activities that were offered. For starters, the bathrooms were filthy. Their website also says that they have community activities including a family friendly movie in the evenings, which was definitely not offered at the camp. In addition, for as hot as it is in the Spokane Valley during the summer, their pool hours are from 10 AM to 7 PM which is super inconvenient when you have children. This KOA rarely had employees available to help and the store shelves were mostly empty. Certainly not a comfortable stay and unfortunately we will not be back. read more

Our family have been to this koa for the last 5 years. Every year about this time. It's always been accommodating and an amazing experience. The pool is a huge plus especially this time of year. This year we had family come from all over the US. We had 2 families in tent camping, 2 families in r.v. camping and 2 in cabins. Everything was great. The sites were great and we were all close enough we could all visit. For the most part it was a great reunion. Below are the issues our family accuired. The issue and the reason for the 2 stars is one of the families staying in the cabin has some nasty unwanted guest in their cabins. Bed Bugs!! One of the children was covered in bites and upon inspection we found those nasty blood suckers in the beds. When telling the front office they offered a refund but the people stating in the cabin would have to check out immediately. However at 8pm at night and them being in their 80a it's not the easiest task. So they decided to bear it for the night and would check out in the morning. They woke up immediately the next day and began washing their clothing (which in return was giving the koa more money) to ensure they weren't bringing the unwanted guest home. I don't feel the bed bug situation was properly addressed and it seemed like the staff didn't really care. They said their cleaning person spends a lot of time cleaning the rooms so they have no idea how they would miss that. However with inspecting the room you can tell it isn't cleaned as well as it should or could be. There was a refund for a day because they checked out a day early. So if staying at this KOA definitely avoid the cabins and if not check them thoroughly before taking your belongings inside. Another thing was the wifi wasn't able to be used the whole time we were there. I asked an employee for help and he told me I could go to the dog area and it should work and if not they could reset it or there was a Wendy's down the road. I told him I would rather it work while being in my campsite so I could visit withy.family. I opted to just use hotspot to be able to visit with my family and not sit at the local Wendy's and do school work. The staff had some nice staff but some of the staff was really rude and didn't seem to care about issues we encountered. read more

Ridiculous. If you are a tent camper DON'T STAY HERE. They back all the tent campers up to the train tracks and a tower with a horrific buzz. The site was so small we were unable to fit both our tents. The bathrooms were cleanish. There are NO fire pits. You can have them deliver an enclosed one but don't plan on roasting or cooking with it. To add insult to injury after a two week road trip around the western states this was our last night... we paid more for this site than any other site we stayed at :( rip off. FYI: we live blocks away from railroad tracks but this was crazy. read more

We got in early and they did mention we were early, but let us pull in and set up. They warned us about sprinklers and grass cutting. No big deal! Beautiful place! Very nice and well kept dog park. The train goes by but almost every KOA or RV park we've been to has a train or airport close. If not that, then they are right next to the road/freeway! Nice campground. read more

Worst KOA I stayed at this summer and I stayed at a lot. I won't ever stay at a KOA again after this experience. And I'll make sure all of my Pacific Northwest outdoorsy friends don't either. We came in late just before the office closed and they gave us a spot ten feet from a fucking freight train!! No one told us. I had a cat and was with someone who has PTSD and it was horrible. It went by every 45 min or less. The next morning we asked for a refund because we got no sleep and they said too bad. The other EMPTY sites we're for trailers (which is a lie because there were many tent campers where they said only trailers could be). And that we only had one hour for a refund after booking. The office would have been closed. Beyond that stray dogs were running though camp the next morning. All they could say was 'these are problems outside of our control'. I'll never camp at a KOA again. read more

The facility is clean and they offer a heated pool the employees were nice and polite BUT the trains are unbearable there had to be at least 15 trains that passed by through the night with their horns blaring for miles. Clean and well maintained. Totally sufficient if you're passing through and just need a place to stay. However this isn't a place for a relaxing getaway in nature. Located right next to train train tracks that blasted their horns at 12 pm and 4 am. Location is still very much in town so we also heard cars racing at 2 am. We didn't even stay the night and took the cost hit on our reservation because the check in experience was so terrible. To be fair, we arrived at 12:30pm, unaware that check in was at 2pm. I asked if I could pay for an early check in and I was told absolutely not. She told me it was listed all over their site clearly stating the 2pm check in, it was not. I asked for advise on where to park our Rv in the mean time (we have a 36' Class A with a car in tow) and she told me to park at the mall down the road. The woman was extremely rude about the entire exchange. We had also just seen an Rv (similar in size to ours with a tow), check in before us and they drove right in. We were staying one night while passing through town and luckily found a last minute accommodation where the staff was just lovely. Clean, quiet, pretty level gravel pads - pretty close together back in the cheap seats that I'm in, but I've seen way worse on some of these posts. Lots of trees & shade. The "Deluxe Patio" pull-through sites are gorgeous (I know where I'm reserving next time!) with stamped & stained concrete patios, fire rings, log swings, even umbrella bistro tables! Picnic & dog areas, common areas, restroom/showers all really nice - pool was behind a privacy fence, but going out on a limb & guessing it was well maintained too. Store is well stocked & prices pretty good (cheaper than C-store/truck stops) & staff were ALL great! $55/night mid week - $60 weekend (like I said, in the cheap seats). I WILL be back! read more

This is quite possibly the cleanest campground I have ever seen! The Spokane KOA was neat as a pin. The grass was watered and mowed to perfection and everything was just in it's place. There is a pool and a nice playground for the kids and I even noticed that they had a separate doggie playground for campers that bring their furry friends. Each site provided a picnic table but I don't recall a fire pit. They do not allow rugs or mats on their lawn but since they keep the lawn in such great condition you don't need a door mat. I appreciated how nice and clean our RV stayed while camping there. Another thing we noticed is that the hookups did require somewhat of a longish sewer hose. We alleviated this problem by simply pulling the trailer forward a few feet before un-hooking. Once you get set-up there is a Camping World 5 minutes away in case you need anything or want to stock up while in town. Otherwise, it is about a 10 minute drive West to downtown Spokane and all the shopping and restaurants. There is a freight train that goes by several times of the day and night but it wasn't too noticeable inside the RV, probably if you were in a tent it could be disruptive to sleep. All in all, this was a great place to camp so close to an urban area and I really appreciated the tidy nature of this KOA. I highly recommend it. read more

Property is pretty well maintained. It has insufficient infrastructure and facilities and you are parked right on top of each other. I would not recommend it as an RV Resort other than a last resort. Other reasons: They allow people to enter all night which makes it noisy all night. You are literally feet away from a very busy railroad track. It went by 3x during the night, horn blowing. The earth moved and my world was rocked... but not for the reason you might be thinking and i would have preferred. I love trains but this was just a very noisy place. Forget about getting reatful sleep. read more

One word: trains! Loud very close trains!!! There are very active tracks on either side of the campgrounds and those trains are very loud. I know some people like that, but I could not sleep and we ended up not staying for 2 days as we had originally planned. If you can get past the trains, the grounds are lovely, the pool and other amenities are very nice and we found the people to be very friendly and understanding. If it hadn't been for the trains we would have loved it! read more

Stopped here for two nights to visit friends in area. Park is very clean & well maintained. The staff is friendly & very efficient. The sights are gravel, legal & nice grassy space the upgraded sites have patios!tables with umbrellas, fire pit & big wooden swing. We were in a motor home & were not as bothered by the trains. We will not be staying here again, ever! If you want to be woken up by a train whistle blowing at 12:30am, 3:30am, and again at 6:30am. And also throughout the day. We were about 100 yards from the train tracks. Nothing was mentioned in the KOA book about any trains. My friend told us that the town is surrounded by trains coming and going. Most campers and RV's only stayed one night and was gone early the next morning, probably because they couldn't sleep. The only thing I have to say that was positive is that it is very close to the Spokane Centennial Trail, which we rode on bikes on two out of the 3 days we where there. The campground is clean, but the reasons for giving it one star are: 1st, it's by a railroad crossing and trains blew the horns 3 times from late evening to early morning. So much for a place to sleeping refresh on our long drive! 2nd, it's a parking lot with a pool. Cars, rv's and trailers stacked in side by side with an occasional tree. Pool is small but nice though. 3rd, showers are really unpleasant. The drains are slow and your standing in 2 inches of dirty water. (I see a foot fungus in my future) My recommendation, don't go expecting a camping experience here, but it would be an okay place if you just need a place for night as you pass through Spokane. (and you can sleep through a train horn). read more

We only stayed there because it was so close to the dealership we just purchased our RV from and we didn't want to drive another 6 hours home. ( You could hear every neighbor)Tons of yellow jackets, train blared 4 or 5 times .. the worse at 4:33a.m they stayed on the horn.
