I bought a home with Pella with dows and doors. Many of the screens where damaged and a window screen was missing. I brought a screen in as a template for the new screen. The person assisting me noticed the screen looked worn and asked if I wanted it replaced. Sure. She let me know i would get a call later that day regarding pricing and time. It took me 3 weeks and many phone calls and stopping by the store to get any info. The new screen was ridiculously expensive as was the replaced screen. The replaced screen was returned to me with a bent frame. I took it back 3 weeks ago to be fixed and was told it wasn't the new screen and it would cost me more to fix it! I protested and have not heard back from the supervisor after 3 emails. Do not use this company. They are completely incompetent. read more

I scheduled for a salesman to come to my house at 2:00 pm on a Thursday. A day or two before he called to change it to noon. Okay. So he calls at 11:55 am from outside my house. I was pulling out of the Emmission FasTest. Be home in 5 minute. I am preparing to move. Had a brain hemorrhage in December. Was in ICU / hospital for about a month. The Pella guy was a BUM, named Ted Castillo. He comes in, doesn't want to sit down. Gone in three minutes. Did you bring a window with you? "No." Any color samples, "No." He's back in his car in 3 minutes. I have an RN who comes to my house three times a week. I am planning to move from the 1 mile Albuquerque altitude to sea level. Why do you want knew windows? "The house was built in 1998 with Pella contractor grade windows. Not low-E glass. The Hunter-Douglas shutters are burnt brown." "Yeah. I noticed that.? "So why are you asking me, you idiot." The ABQ Pella reviews are from hunger. DO NOT BUY FROM PELLA, AT LEAST NOT IN PELLA. I waited 3 months for my review. First I give them 2 stars for the quality of the product. For the staff at their offices- I would give them a minus. I am a retired Construction Project Manager/ Facility Manager so I'm very familiar with Contractors. I paid the deposit and next appointment was 6 weeks out. They called at 5 weeks and schedule the appointment another two weeks out (7 weeks total). The Installers arrived on time and did a fantastic job. We are very pleased with the quality of the sliding glass door. Beautiful! We had an old slider removed and doubled the space for the new slider, we got one with blinds inside. The Installers had to knock out part of the wall around the new slider for the expansion. When, they finished they advised the Painter/ Texture paint person would be at my house in two days. The verbiage in my contract with Pella stated that they would handle everything and the Sales Person said you won't be able to tell that it was installed. The painter came and did the work but it was very obvious finished work did not a match. I made multiple efforts to reach Pella (phone and emails)- no response. After weeks of no response I hired my own painter who did a great job. I sent Pella a letter with a check deducting what I paid the painter. They cashed the check but never called. This would be ok if the had an outstanding product but they don't things..... break down and it takes forever to get them serviced.The service department doesn't communicae or return calls. 2 months later, the service person shows up and is very courteous young man. Told windows are too old for parts. I bought the house new in 2005. Service person told me to call a 3rd party because he does not know anything about this model , the 3rd party is a former pella employee. I asked to have a manager call me to discuss how to fix my window and have not heard from them since my early May appointment. I have given them enough time to resolve. I will be calling the corporate office and ask to have a service person from another city call me to resolve or give me options to resolve the issue with my window. read more

Well, another technician, another half day of work missed, another incorrectly ordered part. Technician said it would be about a month for the corrected part, and that he would alert the schedulers that this is a security emergency. Email comes from the office: Can't get someone out again until mid-June. This will officially put them over the year mark from the first attempts to schedule. This is 3 fully or partially missed days of work unnecessarily because they can't order the correct parts. This is a safety hazard as our barndoor sized patio door has actually come off the tracks and nearly crushed people/pets so we have not used it in that long. I called the office and asked to speak to the woman who does the emailing and the secretary said she's too busy, she's always busy, but she could TRY to give her a message. Okay great. Did she call back, no, she sent an email saying she understood my frustration and that she reached out to the instillation manager to see if there was sooner availability. We ordered and paid for a replacement wooden grill for our Pella patio door in June 2024. The doors were installed by the previous owners of the house and it was not an easy process working with this company to obtain measurements and order the grille. The grille arrived in July 2024, but could not be installed. Either it was measured incorrectly or made incorrectly, regardless the installer measured the doors and ordered a new grille due to arrive in October. Arrived it did and again could not be installed because it did not fit. For the third time: the installer took measurements and ordered a wooden grille. It's December now. I think maybe this company will receive the grille on Decemby17, 2024 with an unknown install date. The office is not particularly helpful or concerned and the guy they say is responsible for installation is out of town. That they have had our money for 6 months while to date failing to deliver the grille does not appear to worry the company. I am not happy at all. read more

It's really sad. This company makes a quality product, but this franchise is not worth your effort or money. We have several Pella windows in our home, and we were looking to install several more. When we called the manager, he literally told us "It's not worth my time to replace your windows." Uh, really?! He was insulting and missed what could possibly be a really big sale, since we are the type of people that sort of get addicted to projects and go overboard. Spoke to a human (who was going to pass on message) and left a voicemail directly with the person I need, and still can't get a call back for over a week. This would be new business for them and I would think it would be easy just to make a call and get me on the schedule for a visit later. Received a solicitation in the mail and called to make an appointment. Spoke to a personable to a woman who arranged an appointment. Set aside to be to be home for the appointment. Anthony called the day of the appointment 1/2 hour before he was supposed to be here and said he can't make it and wanted to reschedule. I told him not to bother to call me again. These people are a joke and an insult to Pella. When you read all the negative reviews on Yelp and elsewhere BELIEVE THEM. Don't do business with these idiots. Seems that Sammy W's full time job is making excuses for the inmates that run the asylum at Pella of Albuquerque. Sammy ask ME if I want him to look into the unprofessional operation of this franchise when HE should have been looking into it years ago. Our house is less than 30 years old. It has 56 Pella windows and 8 Pella doors. I waited 2+ months for a technician to come to the house for a list of repair issues. The tech was very pleasant, but I learned that Pella doesn't support screens for the windows. They don't support the broken door lock mechanism. They don't replace windows where the seal has worn down over time and has allowed moisture between the panes. The only thing they're willing to do is replace a couple of the window mechanisms if I pay well in advance with another two-month delay until they can come back. Pella is the worst. We ordered them last June!!! The doors arrived at the warehouse in October. The half assed installation is a joke. Started the end of November. Continued in December. They then demanded full payment without completion. They promised to be here January 31. They still haven't come. They aren't wind or waterproof! So we have a brand new home being ruined by pella. Sooo fed up with this company!!! Would give it a negative rating if that was possible. The product has lots of benefits, but working with this particular dealer is a nightmare! Have waited a month for a warranty ordered replacement window/blind, which was supposed to be installed sometime today. No call to confirm or set a time. Have tried to call the office. From the possible selections, pressing "O at any time" takes you to a wrong number (someone is probably getting super irritated); waiting through the options for the operator takes you to a recording saying the voice mailbox has not been set up; pressing option 1 or 2 to get to service gets you to voice mail. Is no one working at 10:30 on a Friday?? If you don't already have Pella windows, you might want to rethink this choice!!! read more

Have purchased 5 windows and 2 doors from Pella. The initial installation was great. The second time they came they left the wires for my security system inside the wall. I have been waiting since April for a resolution. I have repeatedly called and left many messages. I was so excited to visit the Pella showroom, but left their location really disappointed! We moved in to a house that has Pella doors and windows so I don't disagree that they are excellent quality. We simply need to replace a screen and the service coordinator we met with didn't seem to really have any patience as we asked about 4 questions. She cut my husband off when he tried to answer one of her questions, and in general, acted as if she could care less about our business. Also, they wanted to charge us $75 just to have a technician come to our home and measure for the screen. It would be another 90 dollars for installation, which would require them to screw in 2 screws. We are taking our business to Lowe's, because they have much better customer service. read more

I recently had TJ a rep from Pella come out to install 4 shades between the glass in my sitting room. The original shades were 11 years old and needed to be replaced from years of sun beating down on them. TJ was absolutely fantastic.....not only did he replace the shades but he adjusted two of my bedroom doors that had an issue and tightened up 4 of the crank handles on my windows. One other shade in a different room needed a new belt and he ordered that for me. I had not been able to raise or lower the shade for a long time. You have to remember the shades are 11 years old. I'm absolutely thrilled with TJ and the repairs he made. It really takes a load of worry off of me.....I am a happy camper.......TJ is a credit to the Pella Company. If you have a problem, I believe he'll be able to solve it. All my windows and doors are Pella and I could not be happier with the quality and care TJ and Pella have given me. read more

Great Service in Santa Fe! I was impressed by the service I received from Pella of Albuquerque. The person that scheduled my service call was helpful. She followed up twice before my actual appointment. The Service Technician was great! TJ Gretzner called me before arriving to confirm our appointment. He took care of my requests quickly and professionally. He was patient with my lack of knowledge about the mechanics of the doors and windows. He carefully explained what needed to be done. I've just completed my second project with Pella and have been extremely happy. I've purchased the Designer Series wood windows, triple pane, low-E glass coatings, with shades between the glass. 7 months after install, we still are missing components and have problems. The poor service given by Anthony P. has cost us an unbelievable amount of time and money. We purchased all the windows and doors for a large new construction house in Santa Fe, which was designed around glass. We have bubbles in the trim, problems with the operation or closing of several windows and doors, and are still waiting on screens and essential components. When we first placed the order for the entire house, Anthony did not submit it, so when the install date came - there was nothing to install! We had to wait several more weeks, which cost us a lot of money to shuffle the trades and make some wait. Pella Windows are great. We have them in our house and they have saved us a ton in heat/air bills.

These people are unresponsive and ridiculous. We needed parts and paid their $100 to have them come out and measure. The quote guy from Albuquerque advised that our parts were no longer available and we would have to put non matching screens on half our windows. My spouse had a question about the measurements and ended up calling the main office back east. They seemed surprised and told that they have parts for windows far older than ours. He called Abq again and they said oh gosh, we couldn't get those parts but our main office can. The quote for the right parts was half the one for the nonmathcing ones by the time he got done. How are you supposed to trust a company that does that? It's either lazy, incompetent or both. read more

The worst customer service I have encountered in my life. Salesperson was unprofessional and refused to answer straight forward product questions that we had. He claimed that "we were just there to pick his brain and then buy from Lowes". He told us that "Since our pricing could never be as low as Lowes, I will not waste my time answering your questions".
