Oh wow. I had a slightly weird variant of a common problem, and I needed to fix a window. My fourth call was to All-Pro Glass & Window/ScreenCo. Boy, am I glad I found these folks.
No, they don't come out and service windows anymore (that was my first inquiry), but the nice lady on the phone at All-Pro Glass & Window/ScreenCo told me how to find a YouTube that explained my issue and said she'd also email me written instructions if I wanted.
And she told me how to identify the parts I'd need. And that they had the parts I'd need in stock. And she gave me wise counsel about not doing a half-arsed job by cheaping out and only replacing the broken part (a block and tackle balance - you want to replace them both while you're in there) and she explained why.
The YouTubes she referenced were all I needed. I zipped in to the store, handed her my old balance and was handed two new ones in less than two minutes. Ran them home and put them in, taking my sweet time but finishing in under five minutes.
Total cost? Under $25. One-seventh of what the competitor quoted to come out and do it. A whole lot faster, too. You have to love having someone with professional level info steer you right, right away, the first time - and save you a ton of money, as well.
We now know who to call for slightly weird window questions. Or any sort of window parts at all! I'm sure we'll be buying from All-Pro from now on. read more
