Costs have increased and while everything is become expensive, increasing the cost of tempered glass almost $20 per unit is not warranted... while they may still support the 5 year warranty, this may go away. Also, if your window is older than 10 years, the unit will not be warranted. Add to that , no more re-screening of screens that fail .
