In cold weather there is chili or soup and year-round the chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy makes for great comfort food. My favorite dessert is a warm chocolate chip cookie with soft serve ice cream. The buffet hours are relatively short - 11:00 to 1:30 and 5:00 to 7:30 - so allow enough time to relax and enjoy. When I don't have the time, there is order and pick up from 11:00 to 8:00 or build-your-own salad or entree-with-sides to-go during buffet hours.

Inside is old school wood panelling, a long bar, and a good sized dining area. The staff was super friendly and we were seated quickly despite the dinner rush. We all ordered the Fried Chicken which was apparently named best in Minnesota a few years ago by WCCO. Between us we got fries,, baked potato, and 2 different kinds of coleslaw for sides. Everything was delicious and the chicken was perfectly crispy. If you're in New Ulm this is definitely worth the short drive over. Note that they only take cash or checks but they do have an ATM on-site.
