I drive by this place all the time ... and decided to stop in for dinner.. sure glad we did! we had the House Vegetables = Was VERY good General Tso's and Sweet and Sour Chicken dinner specials with ham fried rice egg roll and egg drop soup the food was all very fresh and hot and tasted Awesome !! its not the classiest joint on the planet but it was cozy on a Saturday night to watch the cars driving by are booth window seat ... im glad they put more focus on the food quality than the ambience .. it was great we will come back for sure !! read more

My favorite local spot for Chinese! I usually try to stop by when I have other business in town but I've been known to make a special trip just to go here. The decor is better than it was a few years ago but could still use a little work. It's clean but there's not much of an intimate feel. It's got the openness of a breakfast diner. I guess I'd like to see more high back booths or some degree of separation between the tables. But it's a pretty minor complaint. Peking House gets labeled my favorite spot because of the freshness of the dishes. The veggies are always cooked perfectly and the dishes blend well without being too oily or dried out. Spring rolls, fried rice, soups... So far nothing's failed me. The prices range from cheap to fair and the drinks are pretty cheap. I don't remember what I paid exactly for the Saki but I know it was well below normal. read more

Visiting family and decided to order in. Limited options for Christmas Eve. Ready in 10-15 minutes turned out to be 25-30. Shrimp lo Mein was good. Everything else wasn't. Egg rolls were a third of size of a normal egg roll. Chicken dishes were slightly odd tasting. Beef was ok except for the clear gravy. Rice was old. Two stars may be generous. read more

Best chinese in norwalk! Always great service and excellent food. I have never been disapointed. Always get the house mixed vegetables and it seems like it gets better every time. This place has far and away the worst "Chinese food" I've ever had. The food is slimy and bland, the service is terrible and the last time I went in there it smelled like a gas station bathroom. My Korean wife and I come in here all the time since we live in MIlan Ohio. This is the Best tasting CHinese food we've had over the years. My wife and I always get the personalized service fast friendly and right order every time we go in. The food here is high and above any other oriental restaurant around in a 50 mile radius. First time in a long while I've been led astray by other Yelp reviews. I travel past Norwalk regularly on business and quite often i'm exiting route 20 heading south on 250 and there's never anywhere to go except McDonald's or subway or disgusting Burger King. So tonight based on yelp reviews I took the time to drive into town and stop at Peking. What a big mistake and huge disappointment. I spent extra to get a large combination dinner and an extra egg roll. The egg roll was clearly something cooked from a frozen package and was very tiny and dry. I felt like I was eating a doggie snack or something. The rice was also very dry and didn't taste any better than instant rice out of a box from the grocery store. I ordered a so-called spicy seafood dish that was so bland I may as well have been eating newspaper. Absolutely zero flavor. The menu said it had crab meat in it, but at best that stuff must've been tofu or some sort of imitation meat. I only ate half of the meal because I was scared it was making me sick and was really annoyed I took the time out of my trip to stop here instead of just going home. Next time if I decide to stop in Norwalk for dinner I'm going to try the place across the street. It says sometimes they have walleye dinners that I'm positive would be better than anything this place could serve up.
