I had a wonderful experience at this Peet's coffee location! The barista was so kind and helpful as she took my order and I normally drink Matcha and haven't had coffee in years, so I got the decaffeinated latte with oat milk, and they added a little bit of honey in there for me as well. The latte, which was iced, was perfectly balanced and had all of the components that makes a good latte work! I was really happy with my purchase and I even got to use some of my points on my order. The everything bagels are the best I have ever had and the employees are nice and fast. The atmosphere fells like any cafe but the thing that I don't like is how expensive it feels. Although the food feels high quality. Almost 3 bucks for a soda can is quite expensive as well as there pastries. That in my opinion is rhetorical only thing that brings it down. read more

Stopped in for a weekday pick-me-up and had a great experience. Spacious and clean interior, friendly staff, very prompt service, and lots of seating both inside and outside. We had a very unpleasant experience at Peet's Coffee in Lake Oswego on New Year's Day. We both ordered specialty drinks, and afterward went back for one drip coffee refill, which was provided in the original cup as expected. It has always been our understanding (long-time customers of the now-closed Pearl District location) that refills were available for approx $1. We were told that a refill of black coffee would cost $3.15 unless the original drink was drip coffee, not a specialty drink. After a bit of discussion, we declined to pay the $3.15 and the cashier (Gage) poured the coffee out right in front of us. A discussion with the shift manager (Bo) afterward left us confused and angry. He said "because he didn't know us" there was nothing he could do and defended the cashier. How should it have been handled? Perhaps providing the refill for $1 with a professional explanation that in the future, the refills will cost $3.15. Or once the manager became involved, perhaps an apology and a drink coupon for future. Instead, the coffee was wasted and they lost a customer. read more

Starbucks or Peet's? I prefer Peet's but their locations are few, and far between where I normally travel. Came in knowing what I wanted. Chris was at the register and offered a smile, and a quick welcome! I asked for a tea recommendation for someone who didn't want coffee. He recommended the Hibiscus Tea Fog. Completed the transaction and went ahead and waited for the drinks to be called. The establishment is clean, and quite a busy place. Communal tables had kids, and grown ups sharing the space. I wrote a review last May mentioning Peet's was closed on Sunday....Not the case now unless it's a holiday. The staff and coffee is stellar. The only complaint I have is in the late fall and winter when it's too wet and/or cold to be outdoors is the loudness. I mean LOUD. Ahh Peet... I remember when I was managing one of these in California and it will always have a spot in my heart. This was before they went light roast *gasp and before they went all... well against what alfred peet was about. With that gripe aside I went in for a plain Jane drop coffee.. I always get a bag of fresh ground because, fun fact... they keep the roasts only 10 days after roasting from the plant. After that it's used for drip or donated. They do not sell old roasted coffee.. period. I went with the flavor of the month and the old staple azuri African blend as my go to. The location is pleasant and the staff is nice, bathrooms well kept and the barista was quick with my wife's order of a latte. PRO TIP : If you buy any coffee grounds, you get a free small cup, or 1.70 credit for a drink... so even with a 1/4lb buy at 3.50... you get a free coffee. read more

I have tried to embraced this coffee and location. It has a prime location and I know very loyal peets customers. For me, the coffee is always off the mark. Yesterday, I had the driest piece of gingerbread pastry. Choking it down with the bitter coffee was a tad gross and both ended in trash. This may have been the tipping point but remain optimistic. I love this coffee shop. Peet's is always busy with all kinds of people. People studying, people in interviews, work meetings, dates, families meeting, always with smiles here. It is always a cheerful place to be. Located in the Lake Oswego Lake View Village, the area is absolutely beautiful and a great place to spend an afternoon walking around shopping, lunch or wandering around looking at the many art pieces scattered through the area. The shop always feels welcoming and clean. The staff is awesome, they are always quick but friendly and greet you nicely. I love their random specials on drinks like on Fridays they are having a BOGO between 1pm - 3pm. Gotta love an afternoon pick me up! Their selection of baked goods are always so fresh in the mornings, my only concern is purchasing the food in the cooler. Ive tried the Kale Chicken salad, it didnt come with even close to enough dressing and I ate most of it dry. Ive also picked up one of the wraps that are $8 and it felt squishy like maybe it was there for a few days. So not the best lunch spot but the baked goods are great in the morning, especially the Zucchini Carrot bread! OMG, I love that bread! Ive already indulged a couple times this month with their Pumpkin coffee drinks! I LOVE the Pumpkin Chai and the Pumpkin black tie, I had the black tie with ice and it was incredible. read more

Huge fan of Peet's and love the consistency of their coffee but had a terrible experience with a lady who had short gray hair who seem to be the manager yesterday. I bought some oatmeal and asked the barista to put some milk foam into it. As she started to do it, the manager came storming over and loudly proclaimed "no! We don't do that here "and asked the barista to stop. She slid the oatmeal back to me and said that is against our policy. What a shitty way to treat a loyal customer. This is one of my favorite coffee spots because they have great service, nice indoor and outdoor seating and hands down the best vanilla latte. This Peet's in particular always is quick - I never wait in a huge long line or wait for a coffee more than a couple of minutes. In addition, the store and bathroom are always clean. I came here for about 10 years, but this is the last time. Peets' remodel has left the place feeling sterile. It has poor ambiance and the noise carries too well. I sat in a chair, one of the only comfortable ones in the place, and these stage lights above were so bright I should have worn sunglasses. Have been enjoying the welcoming atmosphere, great coffee and pastry selection at this location for years. Then someone got it into their little head to do a remodel. Instead of a few overstuffed chairs, and small tables and chairs scattered throughout, there are counter tops and stools lining the sides and a big communal table bisecting the place. Yes sir, you can certainly sit back and enjoy your coffee perched on a backless stool. Peet's is now about as comfortable and cozy as a bus station. Once upon a time there was also a great selection of quality pasteries. Those are all gone now . . . At least by 10 a.m., replaced by . . , well I'm not sure. Could it be hockey pucks? Something you can probably find down at the bus station. So long Peet's, it was great while it lasted. read more

This WAS my favorite coffee place - my wife and I came in 2 to 3 times a week. The remodel completely destroyed the wonderful, comfortable atmosphere. It is now uncomfortable, noisy, too bright (might work for a college hangout). Definitely could not be more wrong for the local crowd that has been filling this place for years. Shame on Peet's. My hand is raised very high for being the dumb ass who forgot to bring coffee from home for her trip to Oregon. Luckily, my wonderful boyfriend has an IPhone so he looked up the closest Peet's while we were in Oregon. The only reason this Peet's doesn't get 5 stars is because of the lack of parking around the area. It is located in the "Danville" of this part of Oregon and around all of these upscale shops nestled between older types of stores. This Peet's is huge with a large sitting area and a functional splenda/milk bar area. I just wish some of the local locations would be up like this (Hello El Cerrito, Emeryville and Danville Locations!) Thank goodness for Peet's. I love Peet's but this location doesn't have any power outlets. So poor schmos with broken down laptops that don't hold a charge, like me, can't take advantage of the free wifi. The locale is pretty schwanky. Take it for what you will. I happen to like it every now and again. For the person who said there is no parking, there is actually a free garage lot if you pull in the driveway right between Zeppo's and St. Honore. First time to this Peet's, probably last time. Ordered the same drink I always order at Peet's Large Cold Brew, splash of coconut cream. I only list the drink to illustrate that i didnt order an iced latte or some other "milk substitute" drink. Cold Brew, with a splash, as if i was going to splash half/half in it. This is the first time i had been charge anything for this splash, and was charged a full charge as if i had ordered a milk substitute for a latte. Even though Whipped coconut Cream is listed for $0.35. Ok so maybe a new person, maybe Lake Oswego does things a bit different, fine. Then i watched as my drink was assembled. Cup Filled with ice, cold brew filled to 1/2 in from top (so far so good). Coconut cream added, then stirred (thank you). Then back to the cold brew/ice machine. Figured maybe a little splash of cold brew to top up. Nope filled another cup with ice, then began to pour from assembled drink into cup full of ice, realized error, now original cup has less drink about an inch from top. Fills the rest with ice... No thank you, I don't need to be charged more, and get so much less... read more

This is a fairly large Peet's with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The layout is nice, and the service is generally quite good. Peet's coffee is excellent, and they take much greater care in preparing the drinks than other places; each drink is individually made, and it shows in the quality. I'm a mocha drinker and they get it right every time. The property has a large parking garage attached, so you never have to worry about parking either. read more

Another coffee chain store...Although I do enjoy Peets... The line to order is a little weird, they wave their arms at you and corral you up to the counter...no actual line. Large area of seating. The drinks are strong, so much so that I put some water into our iced teas. Maybe the coffee is the same way... Good selection of coffee and tea wares as well. I live in Lake Oswego now, so my favorite has become my local. And I still love it. It's still friendly, makes good drinks, has great outdoor and indoor seating, is helpfully located in a cute downtown area with pretty post-coffee walking opportunities. It's been my favorite for, what, 6 years now? Staff comes and goes occasionally, like you do, but the turnover seems very low indeed. I hope that's an indicator that it's a good place to work. I do have one bone to pick, one negative change that decidedly affects my enjoyment. And, to be fair, MOST of this is Peet's-wide, not just my local. So: Part of the charm of Peets is that it wasn't just like other coffee shops. They didn't play whiny "coffeehouse" music; it was all instrumental. They didn't serve drinks that were too sweet. (I'm looking at you, Starbucks. Obviously.) Both of these distinguishing characteristics may be on the out. I hear a lot of "coffeehouse rock" now when I stop in. I request a change of station -- I'll explain why if asked -- and I usually get it, but lately that's been accepted with less grace. And they're starting to change their drink recipes. Not all of them, but the creep is insidious. The masala chai latte, for example, is now unrecognizably spicy and sweet, where it used to subtly spiced and unique. Now it tastes like...well, no, it's still not as sweet as a Starbucks chai. ;) So, bottom line: Still a great place. Just starting to lose some of the things that make it special. read more

The staff is young, upbeat and fun. They are always friendly and patient as I hem and haw over my order. They have great outdoor seating and an awesome coffee shop atmosphere inside. However I do not like their coffee. It always tastes burnt to me- but I've had it so many times I think that is just how it tastes, and so many people seem to love it, so I think it's just a preference. Not actually anything wrong with it. Sadly I think I'm partial to Starbucks. I DO love their tea coolers they have this time of year. Also their freddos are yummy, and when I'm feeling sentimental the hot chocolate is delicious. They have a great Pastry case with delicious fatty things. Their muffins are the best. WAY better than Starbucks. Can get crazy busy on a Sunday morning, but I'm not complain about a wait when I walk in and see a line to the door and choose to stay.
