Came here intending to grab Peet's Coffee, not realizing they serve Peet's coffee but don't accept the Peet's card. No big deal at all, especially after seeing the value. The woman helping me was very friendly and explained that with the coffee, you get a choice of either a blueberry muffin or zucchini bread. She also let me know I could choose oat, almond, or coconut milk at no extra charge. I went with a medium café latte with oat milk and the zucchini bread. The total came out to only $5.57, which is an amazing deal considering everything included. This would've easily been close to double the price at an actual Peet's location. The zucchini bread was surprisingly large and really tasty too. Great value, good coffee, and friendly service. I'll definitely be back! read more

HIDDEN Peet's is alive and well. Still remains undefeated as the most hidden Peet's coffee at Stanford University, if not the world. Located on the third floor of the James H. Clark Center at Stanford University, this Peet's attracts students and professors migrating between campus classrooms and research adventures. The air is infused with academia and studying. So as many have noted this Peets is much more akin to one you would find in an airport type setting. They have most of your favorites but not the all encompassing you find at a regular store. By that I mean there are no fresh beans to order, the pre packaged coffee is limited and if you want a chemex coffee maker you may be out of luck. No gift cards either. But.......... Hands down its still better than Starbucks anyday. The coffee is simply better. If your getting what amounts to a coffee milkshake we may be able to quibble but for straight up coffee (or tea) Peets rules all. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and despite being a two woman show most days, keeps up with the orders well. Located on the third floor it also has a nice view of the research center. They also have food etc, but most of the time we will eat downstairs at Nexus and come up for our afternoon java. read more

One of the most convenient things on campus/hospital. This is a great Peet's location because they have a full menu with a wide range of pastries. They even have indoor seating and outside seats. It's a great place to read and study at too! I come from time to time to grab an iced vanilla latte with a maple scone. All the coffee joints in the hospital sucks so having a Peet's a walk away is so helpful! read more

A few months ago I would have given this place an extra star, but there have been some recent changes that have made things worse. The friendliest barista used to work in the morning, but now she is no longer there. They used to have honey available to put in your drink, but now they keep it behind the counter and they look annoyed when I ask for it. The coffee is standard Peet's coffee, very dark and not really my thing, but this location is really convenient for my work. Bottom line: I will still come here because it's convenient, but do not bother going out if your way to go here. read more

This joint is located conveniently in the middle of stanford's medicine campus. It's spacious but not that much seating - three tables and a bar. We got a iced hibiscus berry lemonade infusion and hot latte. The berry tea is good but too sweet. The coffees are good as peet's coffee come. read more

Everything is great about this Peet's except for one thing: They put raisins in their BLUEBERRY scones. There are blueberries on the top, to fool you, but when you are eating it, you will find numerous raisins hidden within the scone. And this makes me unhappy. read more

I tend to come here for chai tea lattes after TA meetings or before class in the Clark center. The baristas are super friendly, and there are some seats inside and outside. Kinda pricey though- I should learn how to make lattes myself haha :D read more

Hands down, the best Peet's i have been to in the Palo Alto / Menlo Park / Mountain View area. Even if you are not on campus, stopping by here in the morning is always worth while. You may have to play dodge the parking police, but its the only Peet's i know of where your mocha is topped with chocolate syrup, and the only one with raspberry almost scones. Admittedly, the service, and drink quality is best in the morning - but that's because of who is making it, as the lady who always works mornings takes more care making drinks, then most people do making dinner for their in-laws. Thoughts about this Peet's: - Chai tea latte at LKSC is better - Raspberry mocha latte though, is delicious! - If the barista's look familiar it's because some of them also work at Nexus. - Location is awesome if you work around Clark - Outdoor seating (with a view. sort of.) - They don't take gift cards, which is somewhat of a nuisance, but neither does the "Starbucks" in LKSC, so I think I'll live tl;dr: I would probably come to Peet's more often if I worked closer to here, but since LKSC is closer for me and I am not terribly picky about my coffee, I end up there more often. read more

There's a lot of coffee available on campus, but it's often a hit-or-miss proposition. Who knows what's in that large thermos labeled "house blend"? Peet's is a consistently good cup of super-caffeinated goodness. If you're trying to wean yourself, try the OJ and a pastry, or one of their teas. This coffee shop also has the nicest view-- you can sit on the 2nd floor walkway and admire a grassy lawn, or people-watch as all the grad students go about their daily tasks. Beware the huge am line, though. Service can get spotty at those times with only a couple people working the counter. read more

This is a great place for a coffee break if you work around the area. Located on the third floor of the Clark Center, this Peet's offers indoor and outdoor seating areas. I prefer the outdoor seats because you also get a nice view of the campus / greenery. A nice place to take a breather from your classes or work! I have ordered the iced Chai and the green tea latte. The matcha green tea latte is spot on and is so refreshing for the summer time. The iced Chai is definitely not as good as the Starbucks Tazo brand, in my opinion. Unlike the other Peet's in the area, this one doesn't normally offer $1 refills for coffee (with the same cup). Overall, a solid go to cafe for your caffeine fix, helpful for a morning boost or midday pick-me-up. read more

The first and - thus far - only Peet's I have visited. Good coffee in a killer location, even if the Stanford campus has other good choices for coffee (CoHo, Moonbeams, etc.) The location in the Clark Center is worth the trip. Sit back and watch the parade of people come in and out. read more

This is an HMS Host location like you would encounter in an airport. Not anywhere close to normal Peets standards but at the standard pricing. Basically this is a cafe that sells Peets coffees and drinks with Peets logo but it's definitely not Peets staff or management. If you are expecting Peets quality commitment, you shouldn't. I would invite Peets corporate to review this locations quality and training standards and make improvements. read more

The coffee's good. The service, however, was sarcastic, impatient, and unhelpful when questioned. What's more, they don't accept Stanford Card Plan, which is strange given that both Starbucks (Tressidder and Li Ka-Shing, the latter being in the building next door) do. Unless you work on the third floor of Clark, your time is better served going to one of the above. It was a little tough to give up my caramel fraps since there aren't any Starbucks within walking distance on campus, but I soon got me hooked on those caramel freddos! I'm super picky when it comes to ordering my drinks, but Guity from the Stanford Peet's Coffee & Tea staff always customizes my drinks to perfection. Disappointed sums it up when I think of this particular place. I went here recently and found the service to be poor in the sense that they got my order wrong. Being that I didn't want to cause drama and / or have my drink spat into, I didn't ask for them to redo my order, so I would have given one star but instead, I'm giving two stars as there may have been a possibility they would have rectified the mistake and I didn't give them that chance. Yet I must explain further as to why I'm rating them this low (and it's not because I'm a Cal alumni - please don't egg me on Yelp Stanfordians =X) - at the Peet's coffee shop in Walnut Creek, CA, I experienced the best peppermint hot chocolate with soy milk and the service there was awesome! I was at Stanford to play a really tough doubles tennis match, but since I didn't play as well as I wanted to, I wanted to treat my doubles partner to this awesome drink at Peet's as he had never tried Peet's peppermint hot chocolate before. (and just to note that even though this drink is usually seasonally provided during the Holidays, you can still ask for it and they will give it to you - well... at least the Walnut Creek, CA Peet's coffee shop does! =P I must have been spoiled... I do have to point out that I asked if this was possible to order at this Stanford one and they ASSURED me that it was possible and took down the order as I asked.) However, when the order was ready, we took our first taste and it was NASTY. There was no peppermint in it, so that makes me think that the original hot chocolate mix is just awful... no me gusta. The other thing I noticed is that the guy who took my order left shortly afterwards, so perhaps he was in a rush but that's no excuse to "accidentally" rob customers of their desired experience - I really wanted my doubles partner to enjoy it, but ... epic fail =( Not sure if I'd ever go back to this one, but if I ever do, perhaps they can make me change my mind about giving them two stars... read more

Great strong Latte compare to near by coffee shops!

My daughter just got the worst service from this store. They ignored her for a long time, then were very impatient taking her order and refused to confirm back her order. They gave her the wrong drink and when she questioned, they refused to listen. They also refused to give her a receipt. I later checked the credit card that she was charged $5.11, but she was only ordering a small latte. read more
