Ice coffe is old brewed coffee stored in the fridge that tastes like the plastic and stale fridge. You get what you pay for.

No juices (and they've never had them) even though they're on the menu. Food came out randomly. Our 5 year old got his order last even though we asked that it come out first. When we added a hot chocolate with the server, nothing came out after 15 minutes. So I walked in. There were 5 staff behind the counter. 3 were on their smartphones. 2 were joking with each other. When I finally got one of their attention, I asked about the drink. They said it would come out. Kiddo needed to go to the bathroom. Floorboards were rotten and torn on the walk over. Grimy, gross sink with that film on the door that you see in dive bars. We wait 10 minutes. Still no drink. I go back in with the boy and stand over the the barista so that they'd hand us a hot chocolate. Food was good, but with service and ambience like that, might as well go to a Starbucks. The menu will be current, the drinks will come out fast, the bathrooms won't be grimy, and the servers will give you the time of day.

This has been our go-to bakery for at least the last 7 years, their cakes are our…read morefavorite (we have had all sorts of cakes, their red velvet, mango, tea cake, anniversary cake, etc etc), and those were a solid 5 stars, and are always consistent. but recently they have changed and are much sweeter especially their red velvet cake - its way too sweet - so deducted one star. I wonder if the rest of the cakes have gotten super sweet too? We loved this place due to balanced desserts - deducted one star due to the sweet cake I also deducted another star based on my experience with their croissants. The plain croissant is surprisingly sweet, seemingly due to a sugar glaze or syrup on top (see images) and it tasted old but a plain croissant should be buttery, flaky, and crispy, not coated in something sugary and it wasn't crispy at all. The thing is, a well-made plain croissant should have a natural amber sheen just from the egg wash, and there is no need for sugary syrup, but their croissants have a clear thick glaze that is pooled and caramelized on top, so it felt like eating a sweet bread. I had high hopes given how consistently great their cakes have been, so hopefully it's something they revisit and do better on. Their service history has been great, but as the years have gone by, it's not as friendly or inviting as it used to be (the place has gotten popular over the years, so we have noticed a few things are sliding downhill, so I am curious how this place will be over the next few years). The interior is small (no seating inside, but they do have a few tables outside), we have always taken it to go from here. I am hoping the rest of the cakes aren't sweet, we will try them and will update the review again

I got the drink special recommended to me by the workers which was the Sana'a Latte. All drinks have the option to come iced or hot and they are paired with a small middle eastern cafe. Perfect to have a coffee and a meal! The beans were strong but not burnt and I loved the taste! They offered huge variety of latte flavors and syrups and many were unique. While seating inside/outside seems to be a bit limited I have also never seen all seats occupied. I've worked my way through both the permanent and seasonal menus, and I genuinely can't think of a bad drink I've had. The Einspänner on any drink is unmatched, but honestly, every drink has been so good that picking a favorite feels impossible. The pastries are just as impressive! Always fresh, scrumptious, and worth every calorie. I remember when you could walk right in without much of a wait, but influencers have definitely done their job putting special places like this on the map. My only real complaints? The weekend lines and the fact that a coffee shop opens at 8 a.m. Let me get my caffeine fix earlier! Still, this is an easy 5/5. The drinks and pastries are on another level, and the hype is completely deserved.

Nice location - lots of parking and we love to have found a Vietnamese coffee place. I typically get the egg coffee but decided to go with their new Peanut Butter Latte and I'm so glad I did. It comes already with oat milk which is perfect. I will say - for the large the ratio on cream to coffee was little off. I'd prefer less of the cream and more coffee but it was still delicious and refreshing - not too sweet and had a lot of the PB flavor. Hubby got the Pandan Matcha. He loved it - though it was a bit too sweet for him so he waited for the ice to melt a bit. Not sure if we could have adjusted the sweetness. Youngest got the Banana Latte and devoured it quickly. I got to Mountain View early so I stopped at GK first. They had most of the baked goods available but still needed to finish baking the focaccia so I went to do my errand. I bought chocolate chip cookie, dark chocolate oatmeal cookies, oatmeal with raisins cookies, tomato and cheese sourdough, artichoke and truffle focaccia, mushroom and cheese focaccia, pistachio croissant, almond croissant, monkey bread and blueberry amaretti cookies, cinnamon bun and a loaf of sourdough country bread. All of baked goods were tasty, loved the focaccia and sourdough breads, the only letdown was the chocolate chip cookie, it tasted liked it sat out to long. The oatmeal cookies were very healthy and provably taste better with coffee, tea or a liquid beverage. I ate them as a snack during my walks so I didn't drink anything. The woman who helped me was nice. Quaint bakery. They had fresh warm samples in the morning when I got there. I was able to try out both breads that I bought.
