The sweetest but most forgetful staff I've seen on this campus. Decided to go in and grab a nice warm cup of coffee for this chilly beginning of fall. Pro: +friendly staff +inexpensive food and drinks (Paid about $9.50 for a croissant and drink) +location is convenient for students +monkey mocha 3/5 +croissant cheese and egg sandwich 3/5 Con: -slow service -forget orders (the girl before me and myself drinks were forgotten. We saw 3 others behind us get their drinks served first) -no apology for missed orders -I believe the restroom located in the next room was for all. However, when I was using it, someone used a key to unlock my door and almost walked in on me until I said "someone's in here!". the makeshift cafe that sits in the "breezeway" of the 6000 building in the heart of campus. i only discovered this little cafe toward the end of last quarter, while looking for the admissions office (which happens to be down the stairs from here). i have to say, i was quite surprised by what i found, a little standing room only cafe that serves up coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, and instant noodles. i call the instant noodle/ramen diet, the college student food of choice since it's cheap and slurps down in a matter of minutes! lines are generally not too bad, and the staff here is friendly and helpful. love the prices, pretty much everything is under $5...i can't complain about 5 GW's for a sandwich, and a couple more for a hot (or cold drink). i'm a little obsessed with their biscotti as well, just can't resist a crunchy italian pastry filled with almonds and dipped in dark chocolate. mmm, sugar rush for my brain just before class so that i can stay alert and take good notes! while the selection is a bit limited, since space and resources are limited, this is a super convenient, center of the campus place to pick up something quick. if you need a bigger selection, or a bigger meal, and have a few more GW's to shell out, head over to campus dining services, which is just a few steps away. they open pretty late on most days, except for friday, so you can stop in and grab something whether you have an early morning, afternoon, or evening class. note: open monday - friday only. read more

It feels a little odd reviewing a cafe that sits on the campus of Foothill College, but I think it deserves a review. I've been going to Foothill College for the last two years, in class from morning to late afternoon so sometimes I need a pick me up. Since this cafe is just around the corner from where my classes are, it's perfect for me. I've grabbed croissants, chicken teriyaki bowls, gluten free cookies, vegan cookies, sandwiches, hot teas, italian sodas, coffees as well as many other pastries and drinks. But my absolute favorite drink is the zebra mocha. Nothing else will do it for me. It's half white chocolate and half mocha topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. How can you not love caffeine and chocolate together. It's just that good. And I highly recommend it. Their croissants are delicious too. Especially their almond croissants. If you happen to be a student at Foothill College, you should stop by and grab some snacks between classes. read more

I discovered KJ's Café in the 4000 building at Foothill College because it is strategically located on the way between my chemistry class and laboratory. I eat here every Tuesday and Thursday, arriving early so I have time to meet a classmate to study and prepare for class. The staff is very friendly, and I love their bagels with cream cheese and their delicious pizza slices, accompanied by a cup of invigorating African tea. This cafe is great to grab a quick snack in between classes. They actually have a variety of things to choose from like sandwiches, cookies, ramen noodles, or even ice cream. Every time I'm here at Foothill college, I always go to this cafe and get the Monkey Mocha for coffee. The banana flavor pairs really well with mocha coffee, plus the whip cream makes it light and creamy. The monkey mocha reminds me of a chocolate dipped banana if you guys have ever tried that . Definitely an interesting drink that i know other coffee places like starbucks doesn't have. I always come back to KJ cafe for the monkey mocha!! read more

There are three KJ's on Foothill campus: in the Foothill Cafe, 4000's building, and this one being in the "breezeway" of the 6000. Drinks here are inconsistent and taste different every time I order. Also, there is always oil that solidifies on the surface after my drink cools down. Not sure what gives, but I stopped ordering those (flavored favorites) and just opt for the Mighty Leaf tea bags instead. There is a minimum purchase ($3.50) for card, but it's easy to make that minimum if you're ordering coffee. They have pastries, too, such as ham & cheese and chocolate croissants, bagels, and muffins for under $5. They can't warm up your pastry, but you can do it yourself with their microwave or toaster. It's definitely not a Philz, but convenient for students who don't want to drive off campus and take time out of their gap to a better cafe. read more

I literally just ordered a iced white mocha and the lady repeated my order and asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. This girl was making my drink and asked if I wanted whipped cream when I already told the lady yes, but my drink turned out to be a ice mocha. I told the girl that I ordered a White mocha and the lady who took my order said "you said mocha". Girl, you had repeated my white mocha order and asked if I wanted whipped cream. This guy behind the counter says it's cool they'll remake it for me. It's annoying that you're going to tell me what I basically ordered. I have never ordered mocha anything because I have a sweet tooth so I want that white chocolate taste in it. Anyways, my drink did not taste like a white mocha overall. The guy who is always working here is really nice, I never gotten to know his name (my bad) and I always get the monkey mocha decaf, yes I need it to decaf or else I would fall asleep if I drink it with caffeine. I would rather go to 7-Eleven, get a two week old cup of coffee, and let the sun warm it up for me, and drink it, instead of going here and paying $3 for a cup of puke. They also tack on a minimum of $3.50 to use Credit/Debit Cards. You mean I have to buy more garbage from this place? I mean we are living in the 21st century. Credit Cards/Debit Cards are widely used. Are they THAT cheap that they don't want to pay a nickel to charge credit cards? I guess anything is possible at Foothill. So now that we have discussed their disgusting Coffee, let me tell you a story about my friend and I who were both afraid of their "Coffee." We were both thirsty, and we ordered a couple of hot chocolates. The French guy that made our "Hot Chocolate" was talking to another customer, and just put a gallon of chocolate syrup in our "hot chocolates." When we got to class and drank the hot chocolates, we both wanted to puke. It did not go well with our stomachs, and from that day on, we have placed a hex on this steaming pile of goat s***. How can you mess up Hot Chocolate, and charge $4 for it? The world may never know. THE REAL RATING IS ZERO OUT OF 5 STARS, but YELP is TOO nice. read more

Ice coffe is old brewed coffee stored in the fridge that tastes like the plastic and stale fridge. You get what you pay for.

I like their spring rolls except for the fact that they leave in very large stems on the greens. I have choked on them more than once. The rest of the spring roll is very good. I have had good sandwiches there and good hamburgers. read more

This cafe is quaint and small, a little hard to find. The sandwiches are well made and tasty. I've tried their grilled hamburgers, which are delicious as well. They have a wide selection of drinks to choose from. Great place for lunch, as long as you can find parking, which can be challenging. read more
