A solid wooden door I ordered in May 2017 was finally installed on 1 September 2017 - cost £3,000. By early November '17 the door was warping, there was daylight showing down the door frame and, of course, cold air blowing in. It has taken me a further six months (so almost a year in total) to get the door replaced at the cost of countless calls, emails and visits to the shop causing anxiety and utter frustration. The total lack of care, communication and courtesy has been staggering.

Right from the beginning they have been professional and hard working. We were very lucky to get the amazing Richard as our project manager and he made the whole experience run smoothly. He was always on time, when we had a slight leak in the roof one weekend he drove a couple of hours to come and fix it, he always made sure everything was tidied away so that it was safe for our 2 year old and if we had an issue with anything he was quick to fix it without question. We hardly had any snagging when it came to the end of the build and any we did was dealt with straight away. I couldn't recomend them highly enough, we are extremely pleased with the end result and if anyone has any questions I would be happy to help as I know how daunting it is choosing a company you trust enough to carry out the work.

We had four quotes. Loft Life were not the cheapest but they were also not the most expensive. In the end we decided to go with Loft Life, especially after seeing our friends loft. That was one of the best decisions we have made when it comes to building works on our home. The building work is done and we have just finished decorating and we are thrilled with the final result. We would like to comment on the professionalism that Loft Life provided, especially to John, who came back and repaired some damage caused by the scaffolders. John was in our opinion an expert builder with a confident, pleasant manner, he was always one step ahead of us recommending and reassuring us. He managed his team expertly and has great respect from his colleagues. But a special mention most go to Spencer, who took us through the whole process. Any questions we had we answered fully and honestly. The loft conversion was built within 4 weeks - on time and on budget. No hidden extras. If I could I would give Britelite Windows MINUS 10 stars…read more We used them in the past so we're former customers but no longer need their services, as all the windows in our home have been replaced. They know that full well but these idiots keep calling, every single month. Every time we ask them to remove us from their calling list. Sometimes they "agree" (yeah right), other times they ask us to call TPS. Errrr, we are on TPS already!!! So we logged a complaint with TPS, but that does NOT stop them from calling AGAIN! They're unhelpful, rude idiots who use any crappy sales techniques out of desperation as business is probably bad now. We are considering reporting them to Trading Standards, that's what they deserve.

I had a replacement of seven windows carried out by Britelite wIndows Ltd, of Maidstone Kent…read more The material goods would be of excellent quality if only could be assembled correctly and measurement of the window openings are accurately taken. Treble glazing units with flexible spacers are not ideal. You would be better off with double glazing with maximum panes spacing and hard warm spacers. The Installation was a shambles from beginning to end. It took eighteen months to complete due to repeated remedial work. Several glazed units damaged on installation. Beading damaged and incorrectly fitted. Several glazing units had to be replaced because of the uneven and undulated spacers. Their installers though courteous and polite, they lack in skill and application, and are not aware of what constitutes a good practice in window installation even the ones that carry a FENSA competence card. They failed to seal the holes with silicon at the base where the poles go through the sill, in order to prevent condensation running on the structure below, and this after coming back to fit them through the sill, which resulted in dampness internally below the sill. They do not apply filler around the frames for maximum air tightness, but they rely on the trims to do the job. The company did agree to come back and put right all the issues I and FENSA recorded as failures and a compensation of an agreed amount be deducted from the outstanding balance. I leave it to you to decide if you are to use this company!!
