Females beware. I…read morewalked into Discount Tire to get a simple nail removed from my tire. That's it. A nail. Not a new car. Not a full tire makeover. Instead, the associate immediately informed me I needed all four new tires. When I calmly explained that my tires still had plenty of tread, he confidently told me I was wrong. Apparently, my eyes and basic understanding of tire tread were no match for his sales pitch. I told him I was not interested in spending $1,200 for a full set and seemed visibly annoyed with me. So instead of removing the nail (the actual reason I was there), I left. Took my vehicle to a competitor and guess what?!? They removed the nail without theatrics and confirmed my tires are perfectly fine. Later had my oil changed at the dealership, and they also confirmed my tires are good. Funny how that works. I came in for a repair and got a sales lecture instead. If you're a woman walking in alone, be prepared to advocate for yourself OR just save yourself the headache and go somewhere that listens!!

My experience here was not ideal to begin with but the aftermath of their service is shocking…read more I took my car into my regular mechanic for maintenance where they informed me that the employees of discount tire (who had already broke a lug nut off my tire in order to put a new set on) broke a stud and failed to center my tires. This explains the intense shaking while driving in normal conditions such as coming to a stop at a light. After being forced to see a professional to fix what they had broken, I am out at least hundreds but finally have a safe car to drive. For a place that only works on tires, you would think they could properly center them and not break multiple parts to replace them.

My vehicle was in need of immediate service as it was leaking automatic transmission fluid rapidly…read morefrom the connection at the bottom of the radiator, so driving it around to scout out better deals was not possible so I had the vehicle towed to DT&S: as they were close and had openings in their repair schedule that fit into my busy schedule. When they called me the next morning with the quote $766.75, I was worried that I might be being overcharged for the job, but decided to place my trust in them to be fair and honest in their dealings with me, the customer. As the vehicle was being repaired I decided to contact their store in Frederick, to see how much they would have charged me for the same repair. After speaking with one of their senior employees, I was given a quote of $430.00! I relayed this information to the staff performing the repairs on my vehicle and they claimed that I wasn't given accurate information, but decided to take $92.95 off of my original bill anyway. I was told the reason for this was that the Frederick store should have quoted me for three hours of labor, not two hours, so they dropped that amount off of my bill. So the total bill came to $673.80....for a new radiator for a 2007 Ford Explorer! The guys at the Greeley location also admitted that he did not get the best price on the radiator (not sure why the Frederick location was able to...?), but that was the best he could do for me, the customer. I picked up the vehicle this morning, but before I left their premises I inspected the work. That connection that I referenced earlier in this review was partially held in place by zip ties!! When I asked to speak to the mechanic that performed the work I was confronted by Bob the manager who immediately became very adversarial and argumentative with me. I don't do well with that kind of attitude, and told him where to go and how to get there, to which he replied, "I don't want you as my customer anymore!" What he fails to realize is that he has just refused to honor the lifetime warranty on the part(s) (I was overcharged for), and any warranty that covers the labor that they just overcharged me for, as Bob and his brother Dwayne are co-owners of ALL of the 6 Discount Tires & Service shops in the NoCo area. Not only is this unethical, it is just plain bad business. So now I just have to hope that those parts and repair hold up, because if they don't, I'm screwed.
