We ended up eating here 2 days in a row! I chose this restaurant for our Saturday night dinner…read morebecause the specials on the board out front and the dessert list looked great, and they were. Saturday night was pretty popular and the patio was full, so we sat inside, which is why our photos were rather dark. We started with a round of drinks. I had a glass of rose. Note that the drinks menu is several pages longer than the food menu, with beer, wine, and a variety of specialty and standard cocktails. They also have an espresso bar. It wasn't on the menu, but we ordered the Street Corn dip from the specials board on the sidewalk. We got a nice sized serving, and it was very good. I had the za'atar roast chicken for my entree, and it was delicious! The chicken comes with a lemon yogurt sauce, and Fattoush salad, but the salad was kind of a cross between Fattoush and tabbouleh, with pita chips and a grain base. It was a great combo, and the chicken was very juicy and seasoned nicely. I ended up with a slice of the almond cake, which was moist and had sliced almonds on top. Very much needed after missing out in the ice cream stop this afternoon! One of my friends had a bowl of gumbo and the other one had the taco pie. Since everyone enjoyed their dinner, and we confirmed that the patio was dog friendly, we returned with Miss Pup for brunch. We were able to snag a patio seat with a super friendly server. Miss Pup mostly hung out under the table, but managed to convince some other diners to pet her. We went with some plates for the table - Chicken and Waffle, Chilaquiles, and the special Quiche, which had sundried tomatoes, bacon and feta. All 3 portions were just right for us. The chicken was really moist and the waffle had slightly crispy edges. It came with some fruit and syrup. The quiche slice was generous and it came with a large portion of salad with a fruity vinaigrette. The sundried tomatoes were a really fun addition! I chose the chilaquiles. I'm pretty sure the chips were fried fresh (the ones last night were not), and I liked that it had beans and pico on top! This dish did not contain enchilada sauce, it was more like breakfast nachos, but I really enjoyed it. This place is definitely worth a stop, and the menu stands out from the standard island fish and chips and burgers fare (not that I dislike those things, just something different)!

The barista making my coffee was a delight -- friendly vibe and a real pro at his craft. Great vibes all around. Will absolutely be back.

The bartender was friendly & efficient! Great drinks...lemon drop martini, margarita flight & Taylor neat. Not too outrageously priced either...bonus! We had 2 build your own combo & a smash burger. We all enjoyed our meal. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going again. Oh, there was also a gelato bar maybe separate from the restaurant, but inside. It looked really good, but we were too full for dessert...next time!

Our server, Belle, made the night. She took great care of us, brought extra refills, napkins, and was ahead of us and on the ball while being the most friendly server we have had at a restaurant in a while. I had the 1/2 rack with jalapeño cornbread and smoked baked beans. Everything was great. The ribs did not fall off like some overcooked baby backs but they were very lean and great flavor. They've also got a great choice of sauces. I dipped a finger in a dot of blueberry habanero. They aren't kidding when they say it's their hottest, but it has good flavor while really kicking up the heat to a new, "stay with you" level. Another family member got the brisket mac abs cheese wrap for something different. It looked great but is a messy one. The wrap is actually more of a burrito shell. Everything was great and we would come back again. Love music that wasn't too loud, which was a great touch. We got there around 6pm on a Friday. Very good option to try if you like bbQUE :-)
