I had a home inspection done 12/18/23 and Ryan Peel was helpful and answered many questions. HOWEVER, this was written in report; "The air conditioning system was unable to be activated at the time of inspection due to the low exterior temperatures. Manufacturer's specifications and industry standards suggest utilizing air conditioning systems in temperatures below 60f may damage the equipment." They inspect my house that I just bought: the dishwasher is not working and after calling them and told them what's happening they says they cannot do anything about it and they was extremely rude. they hung up on me. they didn't even let me finish what I was trying to say. she was yelling at me and they are bunch of liars and I do not recommend this company to anybody. so please don't hire this company this is a scam they are losers they are not doing their job well. they just over charge you and then not finishing their job they failed big time. I'm so pissed right now. They did not even come back to check if the things I've asked for to be fixed. The inspector never came. I asked my home inspection from this company in 2013. Although there was a leakage in the toilet, Ryan Peel just turned off the water valve, saying it was not big deal. From my complaints he threatened me by using his attorney. He was not in our house as many times as he promised and the overall performance was very poor. For instance he did not report the flood damage of my french door leading to my backyard, the structural problem of HVAC system with no return on the second floor etc. Based on my experience, I would definitely not recommend this company. I am in the process of buying my first home and I am VERY satisfied with the work Peel Inspections has done thus far. Mr. Peel personally comes to the home, which says a lot about his work ethic. There is no third party opinion on "behalf of Mr. Peel". I loved the personal touch and the attention to detail. He and his assistant were very hands on and organized. I was concerned about getting a thorough inspection, and they provided it. He followed the "process" outlined on his website and was very organized in his reporting and inspection. I was very please and will MOST DEFINITELY recommend the Peel Inspections team. Everyone from the secretary to the assistant to Mr. Peel are professional, courteous, and are willing to address any concerns at a moment's notice. Mr. Peel stands by his work and offers a complimentary re-inspection. If any issues are found at a later date, Mr. Peel will come by to re-assess the work. I have a very good feeling about the "Peel Inspection" I was given. It's no mystery how he's been in business so long. I was in the process of purchasing a home when the appraiser wanted a structural engineer to look at the property to see if damage was structural or cosmetic. Per Peel Home Inspection, it was cosmetic. Had a 2nd opinion done and it was indeed structural. Over $10k in repairs needed. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Obviously they were not thorough and only wanted the buck. Research your home inspectors before hiring them and make sure the reviews are current. Allstare Home Inspection is nothing but the truth. To call this company "shady" is to be generous. We were talked into using Peel for our home inspection on the basis of their offering to do the re-inspection for no additional fee. Ryan Peel was very quick to smile and shake hands, but the company is woefully short on follow-through. This wasn't my first home purchase, and I was put off by their emphasis on speed: they were practically running through the house, checking little things off on their clipboards. I know business is good these days, but one should do the job at hand with complete dedication, and not rush through. He was quick to point out little things: a burned-out light bulb, a light fixture that wasn't securely fastened; however, he completely missed evidence of water intrusion at a downstairs window, and he missed a leak in the roof. When the water damage was brought to his attention, he blew it off as a cosmetic issue, even after being shown photos of the crawlspace where the repairs had been made to the sub-floor. There was a problem with the electrical service to the house when he arrived, and we hadn't known about it before. Ryan promised to come back the very next day to complete the inspection; however, when I called to let him know, the lady who serves as his barrier to the public would only put me on the regular schedule - 8 days later. We went a whole week, dead in the water. We had to change the closing date because of his delays. When he showed up, there was no apology for the delay, not even an acknowledgment that he had promised something he didn't do. He just ran around the house as though he had somewhere really important to go, and left. We have no confidence in him. I brought a contractor in to go back over the house, and he found several things that Ryan should have noticed, but didn't. I believe this company preys on first-time buyers who are all too ready to put their trust in someone who cares more about how many appointments he can cram into a single day, and how fast he can get your check to the bank, than how well he actually does what you are paying him to do. I recommend that anyone who wishes to have a serious inspection done, one on which they can truly depend, use another company. read more

Had more than 1 issue. After the inspection I had to repeatedly call to get results. Then after it was just a bunch of referrals/estimates from various companies. I called the SAME plumbing company listed and they gave me a detailed list of what the problem was and cost to repair was HALF what PEEL said was the price and what was needed is way less. Very incompotent LIAR. Shady business guy that has 0 clue what he is doing. Every issue found came with exaggerated estimate of what needed done thru some good ole boy network. WATCH OUT read more

This idiot went through this house for inspection. He picked out anything cosmetic and acted as if it was critical. He left lights on, doors, open, gates open. He clearly doesn't understand that these are people's homes! He should leave them as he found them. I was embarrassed that I hired him. He couldn't figure out how a ceiling fan "remote control" worked so he wrote that the fan was broken. He had to justify everything he wrote down so he could say I got my ,ones worth. He missed testing outlets that I found didn't work. I would never recommend this guy. He should be ashamed of himself. read more
