Shane is the most professional, experienced and trustworthy Inspection Specialist for your needs. You will not go wrong if you use Shane, nor will you be disappointed! I strongly recommend Shane for a new home or an existing home. We did not know, what we did not know until Shane conducted the inspection. He walked us through the entire house and pointed out areas that did not meet code. He explained it to us in language a layman would understand. I cannot recommend Metro Augusta Inspection Services enough! They have inspected several houses for us over the years. This is by far the ONLY company in Augusta I can 100% recommend without any hesitation! The reports are VERY simple to read and navigate. The level of detail on their reports is very impressive! Every inspection comes with all sorts of warranties and get this, a 200% money back guarantee (which we have never had to use)! Their inspectors are also licensed in GA and SC (which doesn't seem like a big deal but it is if you use one of the many inspectors who aren't licensed in SC). Shane Johnson of Metro Augusta offers basic home and inspection as well as an extra service that included thermal imaging Radon test concierge service and warranty. He explained what the additional services were and did not try to oversell me if we didn't want or need. He was super thorough in his inspection and explaining things to me due to moving here from Texas and unfamiliar with issues that may arise. I was truly nervous at what we would find but he reassured me that we would go over everything as well as tell me if there were problems. so out of curiosity we requested for the other services which in the end uncovered some unforeseen issue. He gave me information on what approaches should be done to mitigate them as well as timeframe on what to handle. James Mapp was on time ( actually, early ), personable, got to the business at hand and worked industriously the entire time he was in the home doing the multi-point inspection. He was always willing to stop and answer questions related to the house and explain or give his thoughts about various things I had noticed myself about some aspect of the house. He was a very polite and hard-working inspector. I elected to have additional testing done which bumped up my bill. I have no idea how their pricing compares with other companies. They came highly recommended by my real estate agent.
