While the technicians themselves were friendly, my overall experience with Summit was disappointing…read more-- particularly given that they had been highly recommended by a neighbor. After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.

Leaking toilet problem. Delta guy came out at least twice. Leak continued. After second time, it…read moregot worse: When I sat on the toilet, the whole seat moved - sort of shook slightly (I am almost 80 years old, and I only weigh120 pounds - so no reason for it to move at all). Was up all night with the leak - putting towels around the base of the toilet to soak up the water so it wouldn't leak into the unit below mine. I had already paid $275 (in advance) for this disaster. Billing statement -Delta Mechanical, Mesa, AZ - for $275 says it was for a toilet install (I believe it was only for a repair - there was no new toilet installed). Finally, gave up that Delta was actually going to fix the leak so I contacted a totally different company to come out and fix it. I won't be using Delta EVER AGAIN. I asked for a refund on the payment as I had to pay the other company which actually did the work to end the leak. (Delta denied the refund). Can anyone explain why Home Depot in Denver refers you to Delta when you call them - I think it is a big mistake. I wish I had read more of the online reviews before I contacted them. Would have saved me the money spent (for bad work) and a couple of sleepless nights - plus the $275 down the drain (or, in this case) toilet!!!

I went on Home Depot's site to schedule an estimate for a water heater installation and they…read moreassigned Delta Mechanical as the company that would handle the installation estimate and installation should I purchase the water heater from Home Depot. I signed up for 3 different times available for the contractor to come over and give me an estimate. After feeling like everything was going to be ok, I never heard from Delta; not an email, phone call, or visit. I called Delta and they offered no apology for not getting in contact with me. Instead of sending someone over the operator gave me a quote and it was pretty high; she then emailed those over to me. Given how high their quote was and how they ghosted me on coming out to quote the job I decided I would not be using them for my installation. Instead I'll be going with another company that is charging me almost $700 less; and they actually showed up to quote the job on time.

    Tri Peaks Air

HEAT PUMP, FURNACE and MINI-SPLIT!…read more  We recently contracted with Tri Peaks Air to install a completely new a/c and heating system for our home in Niwot.  The existing system was installed in 1997, and the A/C finally gave up during the height of this summer's heat.   It was an old system and parts including the R22 refrigerant was not readily available or too expensive.   We decided to go with Tri Peaks Air and from the first encounter with their field estimator/project manager, Donovan, the whole process was seamless and very professional.  The time from quote to installation was a comfortable 3 weeks and all stayed on exactly on schedule as promised.     XCEL had already completed their site analysis, and they were likewise very pleased that Tri Peaks Air includes the appropriate and substantial XCEL rebates in their quote so there would be no surprises or price changes.   They even file the paperwork with XCEL so there is nothing for us at the homeowner to so to make sure all goes smoothly.   The field crew that installed the entire system, including a whole-house heat pump, a new natural gas fired furnace, a new mini-split for the sunroom, which we could never keep at a normal temperature, was all completed by a 7-man crew in ONE DAY.  Removal of the old system included!   Each person, the electrician, and the rest of the mechanical crew knew exactly what they were doing and did so with great coordination and expertise.     I offered them a return visit on the following Monday, but they insisted on completing the job in one day as promised, staying until 7:30 PM, until everything was operational, and the entire job cleaned up and removed all trash.   They stayed to train us on the operation which is very simple.   It's a great system and a great team from Tri Peaks Air.   My career has been involved in the construction trades at all levels, including very complex commercial and industrial projects.  The crew on the Tri Peaks Air team would have been highly respected and regarded in terms of their working knowledge and great teamwork/attitude towards the project and getting things done in the most efficient manner.  On top of everything else that they did so professionally, the communication with the main office included text messages telling us what team members would be arriving at our home, along with a brief biography of who they are and what experience they bring.  Communications about the exact schedule was likewise very much appreciated.  I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Tri Peaks Air for any HVAC project that you may have at hand.  They are in a nutshell, an excellent team from the word go.   Thanks to Tri Peaks Air for the work and timing...we are already enjoying our new A/C systems immensely and look forward to a cozy winter without worries about the furnace failing in mid-January!   Thanks,  Norm Klapper, Niwot, Colorado (303) 548-2416

They are basically doubling their prices because they want to keep all the huge rebates for themselves instead of giving the discounts to the customers, as is the intention of the big rebates. DO NOT AGREE TO THEIR RIDICULOUSLY HIGH QUOTES. SHOP AROUND AND DO ONLINE RESEARCH ON REASONABLE COSTS. This is a greedy, greedy, greedy business. Going around giving outrageously high quotes, hoping a few dummies will take the bait
