I asked to have a repairmen sent out, thinking it would be the next day. She asked a few questions about the HVAC system, age, etc. and said, "We can't get anyone out there today but we can probably fix the problem over the phone." After assuring me that if we couldn't, she would send someone the next morning, she spent over half an hour walking me through a few checks and procedures and we got the system up and running. So something I thought was going to cost a few hundred dollars or more, cost me nothing, because she wanted to save us a very cold night and the possibility of pipes freezing. Wow! A company that shows incredible integrity and professionalism, and really seems to care about the people they serve! This was the first time I'd called Davey, but their number is now in my phone and will be my first call in the future. Thank you, Dorothy!!!

It's been a little over a year and after speaking with two other HVAC companies, and making calls…read moreto some of my friends in the business, and with a ton of home remodeling experience under my belt, we discussed this at the house and I was prompted to write this review. We had a water leak in my twelve year old 96% efficient Amana furnace and I placed a call to Davey. Dorothy was very courteous sent out her son Junior to look at what was going on. He told me he was going to condemn my furnace though there was no signs of aerial contamination. I told him I'll go out and buy two expensive meters and they both showed ZERO contamination! Ok, Junior then said the furnace would be covered under replacement warranty as the heat exchanger was cracked. He talked to the local dispatcher and they had a unit in stock. I was then told by Junior that it would cost me THIRTY FIVE HUNDRED to get the job done. I was flabbergasted at the price! This was for labor! Unbelievable! Ok it was winter and cold temps needed to be handled so I told him let's do it. Junior returned and started installing all the while informing me that it would cost me another EIGHT HUNDRED! I told him no way! Mind you, my old unit was removed and brought downtown. He called his office and they backed off on the additional eight hundred. I left Junior alone and he put together the new furnace and installed it! It was not straight, not plumbed and he left after the furnace was running. I called Dorothy and COMPLAINED! She sent Senior out and he straightened things out. The inspector came by and failed the inspection. Senior came out again and touched up all the work. Senior had to come by a third time to rewire the condensate pump... to code! That final time he came, I could tell he was PO'ed at returning and never said a darn word to me. No respect at all! Bottom line, I was ripped off to high heaven. Thirty five hundred... for the work done? Maybe they get this from other uneducated customers but the unit was under warranty, the whole installation with labor should have cost me $2000 at MOST! I found an unbelievably reputable HVAC and they have so far treated me with respect and professionalism especially when it comes to pricing and top notch customer service. Just had to share this with potential customers here in the area.

I called Jump to fix a control Transformer and was pleased to get a same day appointment…read more Adam showed up on time and proceeded to diagnosis the issue. His expertise noticed a couple of installation errors , one of them was related to the control transformer. He was able to fix and completely remove the failing transformer and utilize the furness control panel instead, nice clean solution as the manufacture intended. The other installation error was causing condensation to not exit correctly and was leaking water that was rusting the front wall pan. I was unaware of this and was looking at having to replace a 4 year old furness if the rusting was to proceed or had already damaged the integrity of the wall. Adam checked the wall out and concluded that the heating element integrity was still good and the wall had not been compromised to the point of furness replacement. Without Adam's knowledge and skills I would be in a bad spot in the near future from the poor installation. I'm very pleased and happy with the outcome, thanks to Adam and do recommend JumpHVAC.

I've been using Summit since ~2018 to handle my furnace maintenance. This summer I had them out to…read moredo a tuneup on my two A/C units. I mentioned to the tech that the upstairs didn't get quite as cold as I would like; while I suspected some of that could be system/ductwork limitations, he suggested that we could add a little more freon to the system in the event there was a possible slow leak. Ultimately, he ended up adding freon to both the upstairs and main floor unit, and unexpectedly much more to the main floor unit. The price after the fact surprised me, especially given that particular unit had appeared to have been working fine; the tech told me it was possible that unit had a leak. He informed me Summit would schedule a leak investigation if desired, but that it would cost a whopping $1,100, so I declined given the performance on that unit had been fine. Fast forward a week or two, and the main floor is quite hot. The ducts seem to be blowing hot air. At which point it became clear to me the unit has actually stopped functioning. I call Summit, which is busy with appointments and express my dismay that the unit stopped working after the tuneup. They tell me it may be a leak etc., but they will send someone out. I wait for the scheduled appointment and the tech that arrives this time clearly didn't look over the prior notes or photos before arrival. I explain to him the situation, and he was confused about which unit was implicated, and claimed that the prior pressure readings from the earlier tech clearly indicated there was a leak (which was not at all what I was told). He later retracted this statement after realizing what time of day the earlier appointment was and said those pressure readings were normal. He poked around briefly, but without much investigation declared the system to have a leak, and indicated there was an 80% chance of it being non-repairable. He indicated they would have to do the $1,100 search to locate the leak, and if it was in the condenser/evaporative coils it would not be repairable. If it was somewhere else in the line, it could be, but then they would possibly have to tear into my walls, etc. to identify the issue. When I asked how much a new unit would be, he gave me a rough quote of $15,000, but told me that they would have to look at specs to price out more specifically. I asked him to do so, given I wanted to know what I was looking at, and he appeared inconvenienced by the request and said it would take him an hour. (It did not.) During that process, the tech told me my ductwork was not sufficient and I would need to downsize my unit, and that the smaller size wouldn't be enough to cool the floor. He suggested my unit may have broken because I keep the basement vents closed, but then he also claimed these A/C units only last about ten years. The whole visit felt performative, and ultimately was much more focused on theoretical salesmanship than anything diagnostic. I was left pretty frustrated. I called out a different repair company recommended by a friend, and within 5 minutes he had identified the leak and the location in the coil. Contrary to what I was told by Summit, this company informed me the coil could be replaced and that I had many more years of life left in the unit. Within the week, I got the whole thing repaired and refilled for ~$1,200--not much more than the cost of a Summit "leak search." While I've had positive and knowledgeable techs with Summit, this whole experience was such a breach of trust that I will not be using them again. I had another company inspect my furnaces this fall for a fraction of the cost, and I will not be looking back.

I replaced the control panel myself, but was still having issues. I wanted to find an independent, trustworthy contractor to avoid all the corporate HVAC companies that will price gouge you if given an opportunity. James was able to work me into his schedule quickly (lucky for me!). He arrived within the hour timeframe he quoted, and had the issue figured out quickly. He even went above and beyond and ensure the prior control board was broken. He showed me what was wrong and got my unit working again. The price was extremely fair for his time and experience. I wish I would've started by calling him. 100% will be using him for all my HVAC needs moving forward.

I already had a company come out to diagnose a short in the control board of our HVAC system and give us an estimate. I wanted a second opinion on estimates on a replacement, James was the only company to offer an estimate if I could send him the model number and serial number and even walked me through the process of finding the data plate when I initially couldn't find it when I removed the front panel. Four other companies wanted to send out a technician for a fee to in order to give me a estimate on parts and labor. His estimate was half the first estimate I received. I look forward to working with him if my HVAC ever goes out again.

From the jump there were red flags; in retrospect I should have realized and not chosen them, but alas. Hopefully this review can save others the money and headache! Our HVAC system was antiquated and needed replacing, so I reached out to Quality Home. I was given a quote $3,000 over my budget. When I said as much they immediately said they could meet me at my price point which makes me wonder... Why the high quote to begin with? Where would that extra $3k have gone? The day of the install went okay. They took a few hours longer than they said they would which disrupted my workday, but fine - I can understand that. I was never sent photos of the condenser on the roof which I was promised - I had to ask a few times to get those. Our new HVAC worked well for a few weeks, then started randomly shutting off. During peak heat times. I'd come home from work to a boiling house. Our thermostat kept saying it was running too long with no change in temperature. I brought this up to my contact at the company - a director level guy - and he told me my thermostat was "trash" and it needed to be replaced. Me, knowing nothing about this stuff, went along and agreed to pay the $400+ for a new thermostat. It turns out that the actual issue was that the folx doing the installation wired the entire thing incorrectly. I was still charged full price for the thermostat/install and offered no apology. My old thermostat was better and easier to use. Fast forward a few months and I noticed our HVAC was leaking water. I called them in a panic as we were going out of town, it was the heat of summer, and I didn't want our cat to overheat. They were able to come out quickly (for a high fee) and told me the leaking was due to us not changing our filter frequently enough. I was again charged $400+ for this. It seemed weird to me that a dirty filter would cause leaking, but again... not my area of expertise. I took their advice and started changing our filter at the cadence recommended. Guess what? Still leaking. A LOT. This is definitely an HVAC issue, not a filter issue as our filters are pretty pristine. I've been trying to get in touch with my same contact (and others) for literal weeks and am being met with total silence. I want to talk to someone about this but it appears that professionalism isn't a value of Quality Home HVAC. Moral of the story? Absolutely go with a different company - I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

It was only a clogged pressure sensor port, so he waived the repair fee and I only paid a bit for the service call itself. He did mention that it's quite an older unit and really should be replaced at some point soon, but that was it. No sales pressure at all, which I really appreciated. Overall this was a great experience, and I know exactly who to call for any future issues and that eventual replacement. Highly recommend!

The team has never tried to upsell and has always walked through every recommendation without pressure. Only once did we need some tuning that resulted in fees beyond our annual maintenance costs. The techs are friendly and knowledgeable. The email and text notifications are timely. The office staff is flexible with schedules and gives us plenty of notice to plan the visits.
