This was one of the most underwhelming burritos I'd had in a long time. I got a breakfast burrito with bacon and added extra sausage and potatoes. It was $4 dollars extra for the meat, yet my burrito was full to the brim with eggs and beans and hardly any meat. I've been to various Mexican food spots all over San Diego County and this was definitely one of the most disappointing burritos I've had. For what I paid I would much rather go anywhere else and get a way better meal. The service was good, it's just unfortunate when you pay extra and your burrito come out looking like a bean and cheese burrito. You can getter better burritos at Estrella's, Roberto's, even Burritos Luna is more bang for your buck.

Ok if you are picking up food to go via drive through, but if you plan on eating onsite I don't recommend: Mosquitos and the smell of gas fumes. Plus no bathroom to wash hands.

Stopped and ordered a breakfast burrito: WOW! It was eggs chorizo and potato. $10.97 at the window and this is what they gave me. Judge for yourselves; I know the price of everything goes up but this was a straight out rip-off. Shame on Pedro's- they used to be much better than this.

Best breakfast burrito I had beats any place

Just average. The Pollo asado mini tacos were not the best. Pedros and Estrellas are much better.

My favorite carne asada burrito in town. Loaded with lots of guacamole and deliciously juicy.

Pedros has amazing shrimp tacos, and their prices are worth driving all the way from Temecula for.

The carne Asada, the fish tacos and the rolled tacos (covered in guacamole) are great!

Pretty darn good fish tacos! I will be returning to try other things on your menu. I like the atmosphere and your logo is cool.

My kids could live on their bean and cheese burritos. Great when you are in a hurry, and can't beat the price.

We visited on a Friday night, and this place made a great first impression with its lively,…read moreenergetic crowd. It was packed, and we waited about 10-15 minutes before getting the first available table outside. We started with chips and salsa, then shared a carne asada quesadilla. The chips were crisp, warm, and lightly salted, and the salsa had a bright, fresh kick with just the right amount of tang. I ordered a beef chimichanga with rice, and it was perfectly fried, golden, and satisfyingly crunchy on the outside, with a rich, savory filling inside. The portion was so generous that I had to take half of it home. The fried ice cream was a wonderful way to end the evening, with a cool, creamy center, a cinnamon-sweet flavor, and a satisfying crunchy exterior. Our wonderful waitress recommended it, and I'm so glad she did. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the area.

This is a cute place in Fallbrook. It's been on my list for a while and I'm glad we went. The food…read morewas pretty good. My parents loved their food and I was just glad I don't have to cook or clean. After looking at the pictures I took (and posted), I realized the plates look so similar which I found humorous. We order enchiladas, tacos, salad and a chili relleno. The chips and salsa were my favorite part while my family enjoyed their food. Service was good and fast. We arrived just as they opened (11am) and we ordered and our food came out pretty quickly and the food was super fresh. The rice and beans were good but don't really need all the extra cheese on it, I'd order again but ask for no extra cheese on top (personal preference). While my parents liked it that way, myself and my kids just took it off. Taste overall was good. I'm definitely going back to try other items on the menu and not driving so I can order an adult beverage.

Favorite restaurant anywhere ever. Wonderful servers, friendly locals, great food and amazingly…read morereasonable prices. It would be nice if there were a few more vegetarian dishes on the menu but otherwise, we love it.

I've eaten at Z South 4 times in the 3 years since I moved to Fallbrook/Bonsall…read more The restaurant choices in general really suck in this area IMO but the 1st 3 times I ate at Z South, it was decent. Pleasant patio seating, friendly staff and an OK braised short rib taco. This past (and last) time was a terrible experience. The TVs on the patio were too loud (it was 2pm - hardly anyone there - no need for them to be on at all), the waitress was not very bright or friendly and the food was disgusting. Repeat: disgusting. I ordered the Chimichuuri Ribeye - supposedly a 'house specialty'. The cut of meat was waaaaaaay below par - grisly and tough. The real disappointment was the Chimichurri sauce which was not like any Chimmichuri sauce I've ever seen or tasted before. It was gooey red/yellow oil with floating bits of gray matter...I took 2 bites and was done. I didn't even feel like the meat would be safe to give my dog. Prior to writing this I called 2X to speak with a manager but both times that was a hassle. It's possible there is no one actually managing Z South. There are so many people with $ in Fallbrook/Bonsall...it amazes me they don't care more about the food quality in their local restaurants.
