Located across the street from Spain's oldest bullring, the Plaza de Toros.

We came with a group with prefix menu which turned out pleasing everyone. The salad, the grilled fish as entree and cream puff for desert was all nicely prepared. The service staff were efficient and ready to answer our questions and requests. Lovely interior for our eyes' appreciation. Perfectly and conveniently located across the street from the bull ring.

Orson Welles ate here. Ernest Hemingway ate here. I ate here. Pedro Romero has an amazing location, immediately across the street from the Plaza del Toro, just a few steps away from that mind-boggling bridge. After several days of tapas, my fiancee and I were looking for something different. Thankfully, Pedro Romero had it. Their menu is quite large. I had the solomillo de buey (25 €) - a steak fillet that was cooked perfectly as requested. It came with awesome potatoes and peppers. It really hit the spot. With a couple glasses of wine, our lunch for two came to 68.21 €. Service was excellent. There were plenty of blue-haired American tourists yakking it up in loud English, not even trying to speak Spanish and the waiter kept his cool. I think we got points for at least trying to order in Spanish. The decor is awesome. You're basically eating in a bullfighting museum. There are tons of pictures of bullfighters and a few bull heads on the wall. It's very busy, but it feels authentic. They're not trying to be something they're not. These guys just love bullfighting and they want to display their heroes. I may be pushing up the rating a bit because of the restaurant's history, but that's part of the reason you drive to a place like this in the middle of nowhere. I will think of Pedro Romero fondly.

In Pedro Romero you will find good food but, beware and be ready to pay more since most of the plates are expensive in comparison to others around the area. The Rabito de Toro was around 22€ (most other places around the area have it priced for 12-15€). The appetizers, despite their prices, were also very good. The service: memorable. Based on the prices, I expected something above average: memorable food, a different take on typical plates (or even a better approach to it) and something special. Whilst I ended up happy with what I ate, I did not feel the entire experience to be worth what I paid. I could have gone to other restaurants in Ronda, eat the same things for half the price. Overall, very good place in terms of food and service. It's just a tad overpriced and at par with other restaurants in the area. Nothing special.

The seafood is very delicious, and my son is in love with steak(70%)and orange juice. The waiters are very friendly . If i ever get back to Ronda I'll stop in here again. It's a really enjoyable experience in Ronda!

Best paella in Ronda- one portion serves 2 people. Takes 45 minutes but worth the wait.

We also enjoyed their light but filling house mixed salad to accompany the rabo de toro dish.

Maybe I should get out of that mentality, because everywhere we ate in Spain that was close to popular attractions was decent. Anyways, I digress. The service was excellent. It was definitely fine dining. They used an aerator for our wine, and kept refilling when our glasses were close to finishing, which was attentive service. The cod and avocado salad was amazing. They used avocado skin rather than avocado meat, which gave the salad an extra crunch rather than creaminess, which I thoroughly enjoyed and was unexpected. There were orange slices, quail egg bits, and black olives (which were NOT at all bitter, despite other occasions we've had black olives). It was a wonderful balance. The paella was delicious. We got the seafood paella; although it wasn't as crunchy as we had hoped, the seafood flavor was super saturated. Plus, there was sooo much good and fresh seafood! Salmorejo was soooo good. We did a cooking class the previous day where we made salmorejo and we couldn't get enough! It is similar to gazpacho, but tomato-based. No salmon in it as you might guess :P But very creamy and topped with chopped hard boiled egg and quality jamon. There was a leg of jamon sitting on a table next to me looking DIVINE, so I was excited to have it in our soup. Tiramisu was delicious too. Not typical to what I've had before, but the ladyfingers at the bottom were not crushed, but rather whole. I loved it! Also, quite possibly the BEST wine we had all trip. So sad we couldn't bring it back with us, but ask for their recommendation, and you won't regret it... It was a local Ronda wine. If you're around the area, definitely check it out! Great date spot, romantic and quaint.

Top-notch service and great food. One of my favorite meals in Spain…read more Given the late lunch-time heat, we chose to sit alone inside to people watch at the window and take in the bull fighting artwork in the comfort of AC. The meal started with 3 complimentary bites (Spanish omelette, tuna, and mussels). I had the garlicky gazpacho to start, which was poured into my bowl for a little table side pizzaz, followed by the fried eggplant which was very light and delightfully sweet. The bull tail was impressively large (although a lot of it bone), and cooked so tenderly no knife was needed. The flan dessert was a bit of a work of art and its taste on par with its appearance. Finally, our meal ended with complimentary sweet wine. The service could not have been more attentive nor nicer. We realized when we exited we were the only ones left because of siesta, but there was absolutely no rushing. Should I ever return to Ronda, it'd be my first stop.
