I brought my jones all mountain twin (600$ board) for wax sharpen and a base grind and ptex fill on a core shot. Not only did the make it look worse, there is holes now and water is most likely going to get in and rot my board now. I thought repair means to fix something? Also they fully sharpened every part of my board even though I told them i ride a lot of park. No detuned edges, if I don't blunt it myself I will physically injure myself. Disgusting place. Dishonest equipment rental staff, brain dead check in girl. I went to rent skis for my family, they were out of skis. Fine, busy season with Covid people want to be outside. But they knew they were out of most skis except for super expensive adult skis, and made me and my kids wait for 30 minutes anyway. Check in girl knows dang well they are out of skis too I ask the equipment guy, "can you call the white plains location and ask if they have skis?" He says no they won't bother checking inventory, I have to drive there. I go to my car and call the White Plains location, and they immediately say they are all out of skis I will never rent from Pedigree skis ever. I would choose to buy a whole set of skis from a whole other store before ever doing business with this chain. read more

Had to buy first pair of skis after renting for the longest time (it was due), ordered then online- called the store and they found them within 20 min. Called me back to let me know they've created the label and the UPS guys will pick it up for shipment. Overnight shipping is the cheapest I've seen ANYWHERE, but then again not many people choose that option. It's a plus they can make sure your boot fits to your bindings properly/checked out before using them. read more

Awful experience! I walked into the store and said that I needed to rent skis/boots/poles and buy a whole new ski outfit, aka I was ready to drop about $1,000. I had even taken the time to fill out their form online for the equipment before I came in. The store was totally empty and the man who "greeted" us couldn't have cared any less and did nothing to help us. He asked someone else to help and he said "no", he had too much work in the back of the store. I was told the wait would be at least 20mins and they could call me on my cell when they were ready to help me (Huh? There was literally NO ONE in the store). He kept muttering about what a busy season they've had so I guess that made him not care about a sale to us. My family spends a lot each year on ski equipment, we'll definitely do it somewhere else. read more

Never shopping here again - management is inept. Had two gift cards, the smaller one worked fine; the larger one "apparently was never registered, so sorry, we can't do anything for you." Poor customer service, and terrible ski sales service. I grew up renting my skis from Pedigree every year. When I was in the market for a new pair of skis, I decided to give Pedigree a chance. Not only were the sales reps a bit condascending, they actually convinced me to buy a pair of boots that were far too small for my feet. Looking back on it now, it was likely because that was all they had in stock, or could get their hands on. When returning to the shop after skiing in them once in severe pain, because of how tight they were, I was told I could not return them. Overall, just a horrible experience, and one I will have to live with, as I am now stuck with a pair of boots that are way too small, as a result of the poor customer service, and lack of knowledge over sizing for ski boots. I'm not a skier but I do play tennis 4-5x/week and the store has very nice apparel but more importantly to me, they have excellent tennis gear and do a great job of stringing my racquets in gut which is expensive but necessary for me to help with a tender elbow. Matt is the person I go to when i need my racquets done fast and unfortunately, a few tough matches of late and well, I decapitated a few racquets so Matt has been busy of late. To Christie F, Matt has no attitude..may just be a little reserved at first but once you get to know him, he is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. read more

I needed a new pair of skis after using my mom's hand-me-downs for the past 6 years. I was hesitant to visit Pedigree because of the iffy reviews, but I'm glad I went! My boyfriend and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't crowded and we were helped right when we walked into the ski section. The staff member who helped me was David and he was not only knowledgeable and even excited to help me pick out a pair of skis, but was personable and very friendly. I told him my experience level and budget, and he picked out a few pairs of skis, both this season and last season, for my height and skill level. He explained the differences in camber/rocker skis, stiffness, height, shapes, etc. He even asked if I had a preference in brand or color. The skis he showed me were a bit over my budget, but he explained that more intermediate level skis with more advanced technology and stiffness were a bit pricier than your average beginner ski - makes sense. Since I was on the fence about going over budget, David kindly put the skis I was interested in on hold for 24 hours to let me think about it. He also mentioned that I could wait until the Columbus Day tent sale if I couldn't decide. When I went home I did a bit of research to make sure I wasn't paying more than I should, and based on online pricing and other reviews, I was getting a great deal on the atomic skis I picked out. I went back the next day and told the staff members I put a pair of skis on hold and they brought out the skis and rang me up! It seems like the bad reviews all stem from bad experiences with staff members. At any of the ski shops/surf shops I've ever been to, there are always those bro-y types that just want to work there to get store discounts and hang out with their friends. I suggest going in well educated about skis with an idea of what you want and what you want to spend. And if a staff member really is bothersome or not helpful (again, I've run into a lot of them over the years), there are others that work there (ask for David!). On the other hand, if you are well educated and a staff member makes a suggestion you don't agree with, don't listen! And while most people say that this shop is overpriced, my research proved to me the skis I was looking at were correctly priced, and honestly, skiing is just expensive, but if you want cheap skis that last one season, by all means, find some on craigslist. I had a great experience at Pedigree and can't wait to pick up my skis and hit the slopes! read more

This place is awful. The customer service is the worst I've ever seen from a ski shop. The guy, Matt, had an attitude from the get-go. Having just moved to Stamford from Park City Utah, I guess I have a different perspective of what real ski shops are and the employees that work in them. Is it possible to give 0 stars? I have skied my whole life and have been to many ski shops. Pedigree is the worst. Their customer service is terrible, sales staff seems stoned and is stupid and most have very little knowledge, ski tuning is awful, and they have no respect for the customers time and are very slow. read more

They were a great help, super nice and incredibly flexible for an early snowboard rental (for a sports camp).

If I could give it 0 starts I would purely for the poor customer service. IT IS HORRIBLE. I am a level III experieinced skiers and needs a new pair of boots. When asked my size I was then questions twice if I was sure that was my size. "You know there aren't shoes you wear out on the street"...yes, I know you do not wear ski boots out on the street. When I then picked up my equipment four people behind the counter took 5 minutes to get my skis. The guy that tuned them forgot where he put them and he was currently strapped into a snowboard screwing around. When I mentioned I was in a hurry on my lunch break, the girl said "Well maybe you should of come when you had more time." RUDE. WILL NEVER GIVE THEM BUSINESS AGAIN. read more
