Try getting a referral from them. It's impossible. No one has answers, no one seems to care. After having my child in the emergency room needing a cast, referral never sent to specialist, resulting in cancelled appointment. Very disgusted with the way they transfer you and transfer you and don't do the work on their end. read more

Don't ask about my child's medical history and the reason for the visit outside of the exam room. Further, we arrived at approximately 1015 for a 1035 appointment and still waited over an hour before a doctor came to see us. When the doctor did see us, he was very friendly and informative. You guys really have to do better with wait time and respectful of my time. I made an appointment for 8:10am (you open at 8:00am) I check in at 7:50am ( literally the first person in there) for good measure, just to watch the entire room being called before me. 9:20am rolls by and we're still not seen. I'm not sure how you prioritize your patients but we've been coming for a year now and this is ALWAYS an issue. While we always get good care when we eventually get to see a doctor, the process before is excruciating. I'm sorry but it's a blatant disregard for parents time and concerns. Seems you care more about numbers than proper service and it's not right. My insurance was not active after payment and at the location 1610 NE Miami Garden the receptionist did not let my children who are sick be treated because they did not have active insurance. I do not think that is fair or humane.I think that is against the law and even more so when they are children.Since the insurance was not active, they cancelled the appointment at the same clinic and my wife had to leave with the children who were not in good condition. read more

We always get the best care with them! For emergencies I take my kids to the children's ER but routine visits, shots, etc they are amazing! I see either Dr. Reggie Locklear or Dr. Eneman Becker and I can't complain. Best of the best hands down! A+++ read more

My son has been going to this place since he was born, he is 13 now, we went over there because he woke up with a swollen red eye he couldn't open, they didn't see him, made him an appointment for the next day in the afternoon. I called back to get him an appointment for that day, it was scheduled at one of their other locations for later on in the day today, the hours later I get a voice mail saying they had canceled the appointment because "they didn't have Doctors" I call them back, it's a call center, you can never speak to the people that are in the actual offices, and they don't know why my appointment was canceled and they don't have another appointment for my son to be seen. They are sooo sorry meanwhile my son still needs medical attention. Time to look for a different pediatric provider. read more

They treat their patients like HMO numbers ... so sad especially since it's pediatric medicine. This place is awful. Not only they don't take walk-ins which is absolutely ridiculous when emergencies is a matter of daily life with children but the staff is slow and rude. The doctors are awful and they have NO clue of what they're doing. Also, if they spend 1 full minute with you and your child, consider yourself lucky. They don't like to prescribe medication, everything is "something that they will get over with" on its own. They don't check the child and I have proof of several misdiagnosis. The numerous occasions for which I have taken my child to have them say: "it's nothing", to later be properly diagnosed by another doctor is outstanding. Avoid this place like the plague (after all, you might get it on the disgusting doorknobs). Go to an ER if necessary! read more

This is my preferred location. My son has been a patient of Dr Benavides since birth and he's now turning 6. I absolutely love this doctor and how compassionate, knowledgeable and caring he is! He goes above and beyond when needed as well. The office staff is eager to help when any issues arise. Whether is it paperwork related or anything else - they aim to please and assist their patients throughly. I can't say enough about the front office manager Maybol. Her customer Service is outstanding. She truly cares and always follows through. I am confident in their expertise and that I can depend on them when it comes to my child's medical care. I am extremely disappointed in this place. My son doesn't get often sick so we didn't visit this office for a while. No matter that Pediatric Associates are listed as primary Pediatric' office on my son's insurance card once he got sick and we went over there they refused to give any care to us. Their story was being too booked and not possible to take a child in no matter that they are primary care physicians on his insurance. I tried to explain that I have called all morning and tried to make an apportent online but their systems were down, plus I told them that my son is in huge ear pain, been vomiting, coughing and truly feeling bad. It was Sunday so our concern was even bigger. All they could say is go to emergency and we are sorry. I have never experienced treatment of not taking sick child in as a primary physicians so I will not go to that place again and I suggest other parents the same. For over a few years I was skeptical of coming to this office due to the reviews. I'm so happy I finally came for myself and only wish I had done so sooner. One of the main reasons I finally came in is because they are open on Sundays! I was seen within 30 minutes with a last minute appointment. The front desk, nurse, and Dr. Bague were all fantastic. The front desk was informative and did not at all dismiss any of my questions or comments. The nurse was very friendly as well and I am happy that the doctor prescribed something for my daughter's cough. The facility is large also, like a mini ER room (but not in a bad way). The waiting area was large and although the capacity seemed like it could fit 40+ people, I felt super comfortable with the fact that there were only about 5 other families waiting and we were all very well spaced out. The facility seemed clean as well, I didn't see any red flags. Also, the coordination of the staff just made me so happy. Our normal pediatrician's office doesn't call prescriptions in until the end of the day because they say they are so busy and will get to it when they have time; here at Pediatric Associates, they called the prescription in right away and CVS called us within 10 minutes of leaving to tell us it was ready. Fantastic! Additionally; at check out; you get a print out of everything from your visit (what was prescribed, the weight, temp, suggestions, etc)...our other pediatrician's office never gave us anything (they just expected us to know what was prescribed). Worst Doctors office I have ever been to. The two times I went I waited 2 hours with a sick child. They make you take an infants clothes off and leave them there screaming for hours. where to start? I have several reasons I would never EVER return to any Pediatric Associate locations. My first experience was at the Aventura office. I took my 6 month old for shots. I waited in a back corner room for 45 minutes before poking my head out to see what the hold up was. It was then I realized that they had closed for lunch, the staff was in the waiting room cleaning the chairs and eating lunch. At the Aventura office you have to pay at least $5.00 for parking unless you can score a Mommy spot or one of the 5 front spots (good luck!) When I had my second child I took him for his first shots at the Avenutra location. The male doctor that we saw suggested I put my newborn on formula because he was a little jaundice. I can't believe as a medical professional he'd rather my son go on powder that was made in a lab, than to prescribe him the lite blanket. I had to tell him several times I was not going to put him on formula and to give me the blanket, he complained that it had to be order from a medical supply company and it could take a while. I switched to the skylake office for obvious reasons. My first experience there was fine a little crowded but fine. The last 3 times I have went to the office I have waited over an hour to be put into a room (and I opt for the first available doctor to save on time) One of the times I went it was simply for my daughter to get a shot, which doesn't require her to be in a room, just to sit in the lab. The last time I went I was told that my son didn't need any shots and that if I waited 15 minutes I could have his vaccine records. I waited 30 minutes and I went back up to the receptionist and I was told she would check on the progress. When she came back she informed me that he did need a shot and to please have a seat. I waited another 25 minutes before I went back up, the receptionist told me that they were just waiting for a room. meanwhile I could see them moving people in and out like cattle, so why couldn't I get a ROOM? That was the straw that broke the camels back. I am sick of being treated like this. My insurance company pays them a lot of money to treat my child, but not to treat my children like crap. I would avoid this chain of doctors offices at all costs. Also the staff or parents don't care if the sick kids sit in the well room or vise versa. read more

I have come to the office in Aventura for about the last 7 1/2 years. At first, we LOVED it, actually for several years. The doctors know my son, they know us, and they genuinely care to take their time. However, I just had a baby in August and have started coming more frequently again with well visits. The Aventura office has definitely changed, as it seems more like a factory. The waits are longer and it seems like the doctors don't take as much time as they are pressed with so many patients. Likewise, some of the office staff are very dry, lacking compassion or bedside manners; some, not all. The original office staff from when I first began coming are usually the ones who are more caring and warm. Most recently, I had a scheduled flu vaccine. When I arrived to the office, the office was packed and the office manager informed me that she had left me a voice mail the day prior that they were out of the vaccine. To make a long story short, they had my phone number incorrect in their system (after 7 1/2 years!), after very dryly insisting several times that she had called me. She did not apologize nor offer any solution to the problem. After I asked her, she phoned the Skylake office to see if they could see me, but they could not see me that morning. Needless to say, I left that office nearly in tears, after all, it's not easy getting out of the house with a 6 month old to drive 25 minutes to the doctor. When I left, I drove to the Skylake office, explained my situation, and they saw me within 15 minutes. In and out - THANK YOU, THANK YOU SKYLAKE! - even though they were full to the rafters. Also, Skylake has always shown us after-hour consideration when we've needed that with our son - holidays, weekends, and week nights. THANK YOU, again - we appreciate that!!! read more

Great doctors but that's where it starts and ends, really really bad service! appointment does not mean anything your wait is can be hours yes this is no typo, I went there once when my kid needed a throat culture and I had to go to the airport, as soon as I went and I told the receptionist about it instead of doing the right thing and rushing me in when I came back to the window after waiting for 30 minutes she says "well we have a pile and your name is in the pile" then gave me a really bad attitude when I asked how long it will take, when I finally went in the doctor told me sorry that she got there late it had nothing to do with where my name was in a pile as if I'm just a number. read more

Stay away from Fazila Zaidi, the after hours "doctor". She is a horrid excuse for a doctor. My son went in for a fever, cough, and rash. He hasnt gotten the MMR vaccine yet. She saw the rash and immediately jumped to MEASLES saying there's hundreds of reported measles cases in FL. I had to correct her and tell her theres been 1 case so I doubt it's the measles. She requested a blood workup! My poor son had to get blood drawn before she ruled out strep or the flu. After waiting an hour she comes back to confirm it's not measles. She says she cant do a flu test because she doesnt think he has the flu because hes not lethargic. This whole time whe was stepping out to consult with another doctor there as if she didnt trust her own judgement. After 3 hours she said it might be the adenovirus and told me to take him to his pediatrician in Causeway to check or come back tomorrow because any other doctor is more experienced than her. Thank you for wasting my time "doctor". I went today to Causeway and saw my sons pediatrician, the amazing Dr Socarras which I cant praise enough. First thing he did was to the strep and flu test. Low and behold my son has the flu! Zaidi couldn't waste her time to do the test and did a "thorough" look to confirm it wasnt the flu based on his behavior. She made my son go through the agony of a full blood workup for NOTHING. He hates doctors now and he used to be so patient with them. Socarras brought back some of the trust but she is a waste of a white coat! I cant say enough negative things about her. Oh and another time I went there as well for my sons eczema and she prescribes triamcinolone for his face. I did not know that's too harsh for the face. My sons face broke out and it was Socarras again who rectified her error. I refuse to ever see that SOB again. read more

I have seen several doctors at this location and my experience with them was great. They listened to my concerns and more impressive followed up with a few personal phone calls. I really appreciate. The wait time is usually over 30 mins which can be a bit overwhelming especially if you're with a sick child. What I can honestly say is that although I have been frustrated with the wait I always leave satisfied with my one on one time with the dr. If it weren't for the wait I would certain give five stars because the doctor we see deserves it. read more

The receptionist or nurses also so rude and on their phones and any time I have taken my daughter here they always tell me there is nothing wrong with her and then I take her the next day to the pediatric associates in aventura and they prescribe something because they'll find an ugly ear infection. I was so hesitant to pick Pediatrics Associates as our primary doctors for our children because of the reviews I read. Unfortunately I had to go in because my kids had fever and out of all the providers that I contacted in my area they where the only one that actually cared about the health of my Kids. I called to find out more information and Aida from the Pembroke Office helped me schedule my appointment for a well check in the Aventura office in a timely manner, took the time to book me an appointment for today with urgency because my 5 month is fighting a cold and my 2 year a fever. I was absolutely lost and I called the office, I was basically given directions step by step I had a private GPS receptionist with me on the phone making sure I get to P Associates (thank you so much) The nurses where amazing caring and professional, as soon we got in the Nurses where amazing Dr. Daniela was very helpful kind to the point and absolutely open to answer all of our questions. We are very happy with Pediatrics Associates and this location it was a blessing for our family to receive all this support in a not so good day health wise for our kids.
