We have been going to Dr. Dunlea for over 5 years and started taking both my kids to her. She's amazing and caring. We love Dr. Dunlea! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Of any doctors office I have ever been to, I have never been so humiliated and disgusted than I have been now more than once with the service I receive from their front desk associates and their billing department. On several occasions I have had appointments for my children (newborn and toddler) to be seen and they made me talk to billing first... because that's their first priority, payment over the care of a sick child. Today the same situation happened for a third (and now final) time. I brought my daughter in for her checkup and was made to speak with the billing department while standing at the front desk. They told me they would not see my daughter until I paid my balance. THEY REFUSED TO SEE HER AS I WAS STANDING IN THEIR OFFICE. I get it, bills have to be paid, and my husband was waiting on a response from their billing department to set up a payment plan, but to turn a child away because you want to be paid first is absolutely disgusting business practice. And as I left crying no one at the front desk cared to stop me or apologize for the degrading treatment or offer any assistance. I called the office immediately and the billing manager said she was going to email the front desk manager about this incident and have that person call me right away. I still have yet to receive a call!!!! I love doctor Newsome, but she is switching practices and now so am I. And I have told our entire neighborhood and all friends with little kids about how terrible this place is. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE LACK OF SERVICE, CARE OR RESPECT you will receive by the front desk when coming to this office. What a joke! And I still expect a call from the office manager. read more

I had scheduled this appointment for a very specific reason. I wasn't aware that it was scheduled as a basic physical exam. The doctor we saw was Dr. Barnes. When trying to ask questions, or to at least make the doctor aware that we were there for more than just a physical. It was hard to get a word in, it was as if playing double Dutch just to ask a question. And as I asked a question, she would quickly answer with a generalized response. I felt no empathy, or consideration for my son, and felt as though he was treated like just another number. Get him in, and get him out, type of atmosphere. Like an assembly line. We waited almost 2 months for this appointment, so we were highly anticipating hi quality care. We were very disappointed. read more

You will guarantee wait at least hour every time you go. They say "sorry for the wait" every time like it's ever going to be different. Doctors are awful. You'll take your extremely sick child there with all classic symptoms of a bacterial infection and they will every single time say it's a virus and refuse to prescribe an antibiotic unless your kid is dying because it will compromise the medicine. There policy is make the child suffer for as long as possible before they do something to help. Never going again. Wish I never went in the first place. read more

Pediatric Associates recently moved adjacent to the Kroger and Pizza Cottage off of Hill Rd. N. This new location is state of the art. The patient rooms remind me of an emergency room. I do wish that the wait wasn't so long. I'm never out of there in under an hour and half. read more

My baby will be 2 in August and has been seeing Dr. Westoven. We absolutely love her. She's is very nice, always answers any questions we have and doesn't seem annoyed with any concerns. If you're looking for a pediatric doctor I would recommend her for sure. read more

I wish I could give this office 0 stars. Dr. Burns is horrific. She commits insurance fraud when going in for wellness visits, she turns them into sick visits without tell you and then you get a bill when it was supposed to be completely covered. She does not care about your child once they are over 12 years old. DO NOT GO HERE! They are horrible and Dr. Burns deserves to lose her license. read more

Rude and unprofessional staff. There's no reason to treat people poorly, but these people are snotty and gossipy. If you have insurance, you are treated like garbage. Medicare patients are treated like gold. Been taking my children here for 6 years but no more. They've gone downhill. I feel the exact same way as @Kay D. I recently switched my practice here after I moved close to Pickerington and at my first visit I walked in to the office and stood there waiting for someone to speak to me since there are like 5 girls at the front desk and it was my first time there so I didn't know who to go to but I literally just stood there waiting for someone to say something to me but nobody did for like 2 minutes. Once one of the girls finally said can I help you, I was very irritated with the lack of professionalism and simple common courtesy. Every appointment ive came to none of the girls up front have ever been nice and smiley and welcoming, they act irritated and snobby like they don't care about you and like your on their time. I had Dr. Burns first and she was very nice and bubbly but also very quick and I felt like she was in and out with us which i'm not use to coming from my last Pediatricians office "Small World Pediatrics" with the Amazing Dr.Little. My next appointment was with rude ass Dr. Barnes. She appeared to be nice when she first came in but once she started asking questions and I gave her honest answers she looked at me like I was crazy and instantly turned her nose up to me. Her whole demeanor is very harsh and uncaring it's just strictly textbook talk with her. If you're not doing things exactly like the book then you're a terrible mom is how she makes you feel. I am a first time mom so even if Im not doing everything "the right way", there is a way to talk to people and still let them know what is wrong but in a understanding way that's not going to make you feel bad but enlighten you about how to do things right the next time. After today's appointment I will NOT be returning back to this practice and I hope whoever reads this doesn't either because I would hate for anyone to feel the same way I felt after leaving that place. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR CHILDS PRIVACY OR SAFETY! This place became one of my worst nightmares when they allowed a woman to impersonate (me) my child's mother and violate my child's HIPPA rights and even change my child's HIPPA INFORMATION!! They showed no remorse for their actions whatsoever and were hesitant to provide me my child's HIPPA forms, consent forms, notes from the Doctor visit and general medical file proving their MANY VIOLATIONS. They endangered my child. They violated my child's rights. And they took away my rights to protect and make the best decisions for my child. read more

My two daughters have seen Dr. Tyson from newborn to 2.5 and 1.5 years old. We moved, and I'm sad to have to look for a new pediatrician. Dr. Tyson is straight forward and very caring. Every question has been answered and he's never made me feel dumb or judged. I always wait for the reminder to put sunscreen on the girls :) His nurse staff have always been wonderful too. After we check in we have never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to be taken back. Now they do online check ins which cuts back on waiting up front. My children have been patients for 5 years. The primary care physician is Dr. Diebel, she was recommended by another patient family and we've not been disappointed. When we were initially looking for a doctor, the team scheduled time for us to interview Dr. Diebel so we felt confident about whatever choice we made. My daughter had a lot of health issues at the time and was being followed by other specialists...we needed a primary care physican who could take that all on and had experience with micropreemies. She and her staff are outstanding. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I've not had any issues with anyone; there are even newer docs that we've had and all were great! Dr. Diebel She was available for my family when we traveled to Mexico on vacation; she PERSONALLY called/emailed to respond to our message about our child becoming ill while in MX. The flexibility to get my children scheduled for acute illness is great. My only issue was that we were a few months late for one of my son's checkups, it appears because it was not scheduled at the previous one. The schedules can get pretty booked, so I was concerned. It actually worked out though, because the new appointment was near my daughter's bday, so we just scheduled one appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Diebel and the entire practice. read more

I have been bringing my children here for 14 years. We started off with Dr. Dunlea, but after she insisted on unnecessary tests that my child did not need (the tests came back negative for what she thought was wrong with him)we switched to Dr. Hietzman who is great. Unfortunately I will be looking for a new pediatric office due to the incompetence and lack of basic math skills in the billing department. I have a $30 co-pay for office visits. I brought my sons for sick visits on 11/20/17, 12/22/17, and 2/3/18. I was never charged for the office visit on 11/20. When I came in on 12/22, I paid $30. When I came back on 2/3, the front receptionists stated I had a past due balance of $30, plus the co-pay for that day, which was $30. So all together I paid $90 for the 3 office visits. I received two bills; 1 for $30 for services on 12/22 and $43.78 for services dated 2/3. When I contacted the billing department Tatiana stated that when I paid the December bill, that went to the November past due amount. And that I still owed $30. When I tried to explain to her that I paid $60 in February for the December bill, she kept cutting me off and trying to over talk me. I then asked to be transferred to the supervisor. Kristen, the "office lead" proceeds to tell me that she sees where I paid $90 for the visits, but their billing department didn't make the mistake, my insurance company did and I need to contact them. When I asked her why I needed to contact them when that was their job, she stated it wasn't their job to deal with the insurance company and that they contact them as a courtesy. When I started pointing out that $30 times 3 equals $90, which I have receipts to back this, she began to over talk me as well and eventually hung up on me. Now I have to speak to the office manager to see if she can fix the problem that no one in billing wants to take account for. I offered to send them my receipts, but they still want this extra $70 which I will not pay for! At this point nothing they say will make this experience better and I'm done with them....beware! read more

Pediatric Associates Inc. Pickerington 905 Old Diley Rd, Pickerington, OH There are so many things I would like to express and say about this practice but I would have you reading a book. I will try to make this review as short as possible with hopes that most of you will take note that there are more bad reviews posted than good, and if most of you are like my family, then we don't get into making bad reports about people because we truly believe people are entitled to having a bad day. Please note that not every visit was bad, but because the staff and the nurses are so rude and non-child friendly, it does help make for an overall bad visit. If anyone is thinking about going to this practice I advise you not to, and if you are considering leaving I can completely relate! I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking quality healthcare for their child, especially if you have a genuine love for children. If you are anything like us then you did your research and found that the DOCTOR'S were great, well educated, and highly recommended. What I have learned is that just because you are educated doesn't make you a good people person. Pediatrics Associates is clearly in the business to make money and become rich and they are good for having you sign and fill out the same forms over and over with no changes and signing the mandatory PAY NOW if no insurance forms. I have been going to this practice for about 10 years now. In the beginning and prior to their move to a bigger and nicer facility, they used to keep all appointments with whoever your primary doctor was; now they get you in with whoever is available. They are good for billing your visit in a manner that creates an out of pocket bill for you. This has happened to us several times and each time I had to ask them what are you supposed to do if the DOCTOR ask specific question's, tell them you can't answer out of fear of being billed. This is clearly a practice that is in it for the money not the quality of care or the child. My child's specialist had no problem filing a prescription over the phone just because they know my child very well and they don't want to put us through the trauma of bringing our child in and also going to get a prescription filled, but due to our insurance no longer covering the specialist, then when our child gets frequent sinus infections then the doctor will never ever fill a script without telling us we have to be seen, only to be told it's a sinus infection. I truly believe that this is for financial reasons not a genuine concern for the child/family. Also because my family has been fortunate enough to not have to bring our child to several office visits throughout the year, then that rude experience we may have encountered then over time eventually got blown off causing us to give them another chance. My husband and I have contemplated for years finding another practice but once they got their new location and new late office hours then they kind of sucked us in due to convenience, definitely not the quality of care, but if it were up to my husband we would have left a long time ago because of how rude they are. Our last visit had to be the worst experience at this office. When your child is sick or if they are going in for a routine exam the last thing you want or need is someone to be rude, un-caring, or pushy. The front desk people can be very rude and lack confidentiality skills. The phone system is the biggest automated piece of junk. This practice is also GREAT at placing blame on their behavior on you as the customer; they take no responsibility for their actions. I do agree that not everyone will encounter this same experience, only out of either being to kind and overlooking things like we were doing in the beginning, or because they don't have to make many office visits except maybe one or two a year, therefore it's not that big of a deal. I really wish this practice would get reported to the proper place and that they would lose their license because they are clearly in this for the money and not the child/families. At this time my family has decided that for the best interest of our child that we will just pray for these mean, arrogant, insensitive folks and hope that God will handle them accordingly. read more

Have met some very good doctors here but good luck on trying to get the front desk people to answer the phone's to schedule an appointment. With several visits this past year and phone calls to have documents faxed, my Average time to get through to them is 25 minutes. Always a very long wait. You're better just walking in and trying your luck. I have been using an Urgent Care lately instead. read more

My appointments are usually quick no matter what the illness is and I have to young boys that are hard to juggle. The rooms are bright and always clean. Now if you are referring to just scheduling an appointment then yes you do have like a 3 month turnaround time. But what's good is that you can always be seen on the same day. read more
