Light House Marina, a family business, will get my business in the future. Todd, the owner and chief mechanic was thorough and explained in detail all that needed to be done, including some custom body work, and mechanicals. They also sell valvetech gas, which has the additives in it for extended fuel life. The cost for parts was spot on with what I could purchase on my own, which I appreciate the minimal markup, if any. I got very lucky, and they were able to get me in the same day for the mechanicals, and done quickly. The price for labor seemed reasonable to me, as my work required two people. They were also able to accommodate me bringing the boat in off the water, and on to one of their trailers for the work. Just a really nice experience all the way around. And sadly, there are some bad marinas on the chain. Thank you to Todd Scott and Dick.

Stay far far away from this company…read more A friend personally called the owner of this shop to set up the introduction for me. Unfortunately, every encounter I had with this company after the initial introduction was bad. I dropped my wave runner off to be serviced on a Wednesday, and I was told they would look at my ski, call me to let me know what was wrong, then start fixing it. I never received a phone call. Instead, I followed up to see whether the problem was diagnosed, and I was told they'd already started working on The ski. Odd....that's not how they said it would go. I called again, two days later, to see how things were going, and I was told they were waiting for spark plugs that were due to arrive in 3 days. I called in 3 days to make sure the spark plugs arrived, but no one returned my call. I followed up the fourth day, and politely inquired about the spark plugs, as it had become apparent to me that the staff thought I was a bother. At that point, I was met with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I was given one story after another about what was wrong with my jet ski and where things stood relative to the repairs. On more than one occasion, the owner yelled at me and told me to pick my jet ski up and get it out of his shop. Rather than going to deal with the abuse, I asked my husband to pick the ski up. When he got to Full Throttle, the owner bad mouthed me to him. Then, when my husband asked what was wrong with the ski and inquired as to what he did to try to fix it, the owner said, "I'm not saying." The owner of Full Throtle lacks professionalism, customer service and common courtesy. Don't waste your time or money here.

North Point Marina has plenty of places for putting a boat, but it's more than that. Also there's entertainment. There's things like banquets and live music. Came here the last time, and went to the beer garden. It has Harbor beers on tap. There's also cocktails, so you can get whatever. It's about $9 for a cocktail. The Harbor Lagoon is a good one. Could say it's a deceptively strong one, plus it's pretty cool looking. This is made with Blue Curacao, Long Island Mix, orange juice, pineapple juice, and Sprite. Also got some of the Knotty Pretzels, good with beer. There's not much in the way of food, but you can bring something to eat on the patio for sure. Have some good drinks and fun while boating. It's also close to a pretty cool nature preserve. This also has live music in the summer on weekends.
