I was honestly sorry I was trespassing and apologized, then paid. What more do you want from me? She's a first class jerk. Avoid this place like the plague. It gets even better. I posted this review while still sitting there. The lady apparently saw this and stormed out and started yelling at me again. She demanded my ID and told me she was going to call the police if I didn't remove the review. I told her that, no, I would not give her my ID and I also would not remove the review. I told her she is welcome to the call the police, I'm not breaking the law. She told me I'm trespassing. I then reminded her that I paid $10 for the privilege of sitting here and being berated. She said, "I'll give you the $10 back." She also pointed out that I don't have a license for my canoe. Later I looked this up and apparently you do actually need a license for a canoe so I guess I was breaking the law. I'm a bad ass. At this point her husband came out. He will check everyone entering to make sure that nothing is brought into the bar. No vapes or beverages are allowed in. Women have to open up their purses and then are allowed in. The only entry to Blarney's Island is by boat or a boat shuttle. The shuttle costs $15 per person, children 12 & under are free if accompanied by an adult. I think this is expensive to be able to attend this bar. So $15 to get there and then an expensive beverage. I didn't realize they served food there. I saw a sign for peanuts and popcorn. I saw a menu on a table but was never offered one. I obtained a drink from the bar and then sat down at a high top table on a stool. Yesterday they had a good band. We were there for about 1 hour. This would be a nice place to take someone from out of town, but prepare to spend some $$$$.

This is a great little spot on the Nippersink Creek to put your boat in or spend a little time…read morefishing. Coming from both directions on Route 12 it is just around a curve so it can come up quick, but there is a nice big sign you can't miss. The parking lot isn't huge, but has space for cars as well as trailers and seemed to have been paved fairly recently. Past the parking lot there is a gravel road you can use to access the canoe launch. The facility has bathroom (outhouse), a picnic shelter, a fishing area with a fire pit, and the canoe launch. There is a nice paved trail that you can walk to get to the fishing area. I was very impressed with how well maintained the area was.
