We popped in on a rainy day and got two drinks and pretzels. What a delightful little place! I got…read morethe raspberry mocha and I have no other way to describe it than graeter's berry chocolate chip ice cream. I think we came at a kind of off time of day because the pretzels were cold and kind of hard, but they still tasted good and the dips were what we expected. I'd suggest making a trip towards the beginning of the day!

Amazing pretzels!!!…read more Super friendly and polite customer service with warm, comforting pretzels and the most amazing dips ever. In addition to being organic and vegan I also appreciate the fact that they aren't too salty like many other soft pretzels are. These pretzels also reheat well in the toaster oven which is great when you are already stuffed but want to take a pretzel to go. I especially recommend the cinnamon butter dip which has a very unique flavor. I've never had anything like it. It is reminiscent of cinnamon ice cream in texture and flavor without actually being cold or too sweet. You also don't mind using a lot of it as it is light and fluffy in mouthfeel.  They must never take the tasty cinnamon butter away!!! They also have a tasty mustard dip which is a condiment I often recommend to people as a Dietitian due to its many health benefits. As the only local pretzel place in Pittsburgh to serve both organic and vegan pretzels this is the *perfect* vendor to any local party you are having - particularly events that have the need to be vegan and/or organic as people become increasingly concerned with their health and the environment. I highly recommend contacting Connor today or ordering a pretzel from him if you see his pretzels at an event! :)

The food cart sells ice balls (which are similar to shaved ice or snow cones), popcorn, and peanuts. Gus and Yiayia's is famous in the local area, but today I visited them for the first-ever time. On a hot day, I had to wait in a line of other customers, but the employees quickly served the customers. As of September 2023, the ice balls cost $1.25 for a small, $2 for a medium, and $2.50 for a large. The popcorn costs $2, and the peanuts cost $1.50. Extremely inexpensive! Flavors for the ice balls include cherry, grape, orange, pineapple, root beer, blueberry, banana, lemon, lime, peach, watermelon, cotton candy, strawberry, and combinations. I ordered a medium-sized ice ball with the flavors of cherry and orange. The employees treated us nicely and had change in one-dollar bills. I believe that the medium size was 10 ounces. My husband and I really enjoyed the taste of the cherry and orange. I appreciated that the plastic cup was type-1 plastic and could be recycled in my community.

In addition to their ice balls, they offer peanuts and popcorn (their popcorn is so good!) I usually go on a hot summer day after taking a walk through the park. The cart is only open until 6 pm on most days so get there early. In addition to food, they now sell merch online! My favorite ice ball is a cherry and banana one. So good and refreshing. Definitely go check them out!
