He was very informative throughout the trip and took us to great locations for photo opportunities. Our next tour guide the following day was Bev. Bev was also our guide on the evening city tour of Calgary. I recommend this tour company.

We are so glad we did and feel that this was the best way to experience a ton of spots in/around Banff in one day. We got picked up and dropped off directly at our hotel, which was super convenient. The bus was on time + easy to identify. Bus was clean, decent temp, & charging ports are provided. Our host Murray was so friendly and knowledgeable. He shared geographic, cultural, and other info on the drive to/from Banff. We first stopped at two different lakes/view point. Once in Banff, we were given 1.5 hours to shop and eat. We made the most of it! Lake Morraine & Louise were are fav stops! We had about 45 mins to an hour at each. The drive back takes 2.5 hours. We visited all the Banff hot spots and got great photos. It was nice meeting everyone on our bus. Being with the tour company, you don't have to worry about parking, permits, etc! Highly recommend booking if you want to see Banff in a day cost/time efficiently without worry!

We've visited COP various times over the past few years. We tried luge, sports hall of fame and…read moretoday we took to the snow tube park. I called ahead to inquire and we were directed to overflow parking. Within 7 minutes, a free shuttle picked us up to take us to the main lodge where there was a large line up for tickets. It moved quickly and we had our cards in hand within 15 min. We walked to the tube park to pick up our tubes and used our cards to get through a gate that leads to a walking conveyor sort of like those moving walkways at the airport. The conveyor took us up the hill where 5-6 tube lanes were open each with an attendant. The hardest part is navigating past all the people who bunch up at the first 3 lanes rather than walk a few extra feet to lanes 8 or 9. We asked if they were allowing doubles or triples where we could go down as a family of 3 holding on to each other's tubes, but due to extremely icy conditions and the speed travelled, we were only allowed Single rides. There are black mats to slow you down and bumpers to catch you from crashing at the bottom. We even tried a spin where the attendant will push you with a twist so you'll go the entire way down in a spiral. It was hard to stand up after that, so I only did the spin once! We were there about 2.5-3 hours and were exhausted after 7 runs. Definitely going again!

As the eensiest Skihill in western Canada, Canada Olympic Park (COP) even manages to be located…read morewithin city limits. Like many people who grew up in Calgary, I took lessons here when I was little, and then in 6th grade when everyone went on a ski trip. It felt a lot bigger then. The Park itself is actually pretty comprehensive - the regular runs, the bunny hill, and the board park are just a tiny part of it. They have bobsleds on which you can do bobsled runs, and ski jump towers, and a decent route of cross-country ski trails. The lodge is pretty nice. They have some of the best fries and hot cocoa that I've tried from any ski hill around. The rental shop is decent and fast, and very comprehensive. And the gear shop isn't bad either. They do make their own snow. It isn't unusual to glance over as you drive by and see the snow-makers on at full blast. Made snow packs more easily and gets icy faster, but let's face it: a tumble here isn't going to take you very far. It's obvious just by looking at it that COP is not for seasoned skiiers. There are mountains an hours drive away with countless runs on varied terrain. But that's not what it's supposed to be. It's more of a training hill. This is the place I would take a new skiier or snowboarder or a kid, a place where they would actually enjoy themselves. It's also a good place to go and get some practise runs in if you don't have the time to make it out of the city. So I say: Long Live COP and skiing in Calgary!

From our first contact with Lion Dog African Safaris, all the stress of planning our "Bucket List"…read moretrip disappeared as Lion Dog took on the challenge of putting our trip together. From the first Airport, thru the wilds of Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda Lion Dog African Safaris lead us on an amazing journey that we will remember for the rest of our lives! We could not have asked for a better planned and orchestrated 3 week trip. The experience of meeting and actually hunting with a tribe of Bushmen was something I will never forget, and then to be that close to a family of Gorillas was breath taking!! All aspects of our trip were carefully planned, timed perfectly and the transfers and flights were amazingly on time! No question that the next time we travel to Africa we will be calling on Lion Dog African Safaris to do all the hard work so that we only have to worry about getting to the airport on time! What happens when you pack a licensed bus full of party goers and send them out to the mountains?…read moreWell, if you asked about half of the people who were on the bus... I doubt they'd be able to tell you. But if you were of the small section paced your alcohol intake like a champ and could still shred the epic gnar at Kicking Horse, you'd tell people that you had a most epic time. The general feel for a lot of the tour seemed sort of like a party trip, with snowboarding involved, but it doesn't have to feel that way if you don't want it to. Taking a trip with Most Epic is fun, but it's also a pretty decently cost effective way to go for a weekend snowboarding trip. 2 days at Kicking Horse, 2 nights in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom and full kitchen ski in/ski out stay at the Palliser and a licensed bus right there and back for $440? Sign me up! The lift passes for the trip work out to be $50/day, as opposed to $90/day at the hill, you're already saving a tonne of money. While the party level of your bus will be completely dependent on the people on it, whenever I've gone on these full package tours, the kind of people who are attracted to it often seem to be there for the liquor. It's almost like a challenge to get blackout drunk by the time you reach the destination.

For one, it's expensive - over $300 for the both of us. We've never paid that much for a food tour so we had high hopes. The content was okay and the portions were big but the food honestly wasn't amazing. Plus, we had one gal in our group that had multiple allergies and they didn't plan it correctly so instead of catering one plate to her allergies, they had one plate alcohol free, one plate meat free, etc - and instead of taking back the extras and fixing it for everyone else, they just handed out her allergy plate. For example, there was one steak with a fermented beet sauce and fermented blackberry and since I was sitting next to her, they gave me the plate without either because it was made to be "alcohol free". To pay $150+ for this tour and not get what you paid for was a little disappointing. It was fine, just nothing special. I think a walking tour in downtown Banff would probably make more sense!

The ladies attending the tour were very welcoming, the bus was comfortable and the tour was great. Who knew that cookies were so enticing. We visited 5 different locations, all incredible. The samples were generous and each location provided for enough treats to gain a few pounds, LOL! It started at Calgary's Farmers Market WEST with a delicious orange ginger juice, coffee, berries and the best hamburguer ever. There we visited the chocolatier and Yum Bakery, omg, the chocolate and the cookies were amazing, then we visited Mercato, Metro Vino, Crave and others that I forgot the name. It was fun, informative, delicious, very well organized, great hosts. Learnt a lot about the amazing food happening in Calgary, so super highly recommended!!
