DO NOT EVER USE!!! Rented two bikes last Sunday from SUP &…read moreSaddle. 1st bike didn't even start. They changed bikes but inserted same battery from 1st bike. Battery died half way through the ride and got a flat tire. Called for help: Start the disgusting customer service - Xavier proved to be utterly incompetent, extremely rude and actually insulted me on the phone. Berated me for riding the bike down the strand (no where was it ever stated I couldn't), claimed the battery wouldn't last that long anyway and it was my fault for being "stupid" Meanwhile bike #2 was still fully charged after only 6 miles of riding. Threatened to charge me if I left their broken bike where was with absolutely no offer to help. Xavier then hung up on me after refusing to put me on the phone with a manager. I had to ride their broken bike back to the Hotel Del when someone else answered and finally came to pick me and the bike up. Worst experience ever and ruined the birthday celebration. STAY AWAY!!!

The location is easy to find, and parking is easy to find ( there is a huge parking structure next door). We were met by Kevin who was our guide for the tour. Awesome personality with a friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the San Diego area is impressive. He was full of fun facts about the city. The course was delightful and the bikes were easy to ride. We rode up to Balboa Park and the pedal assist e-bile was great for going up hill. Rental prices include helmet and bike lock, but you have to ask for those. We rode off after helping get the bike adjusted and set up and forgot to get locks. Luckily no one stole the bikes when we parked it. Adding insurance for the bikes was $10 but they gave us 50% off, so $5 was good for piece of mind. Would definitely come here again!

Sunday (today): My husband and I make the drive, from Oceanside, and enter the shop, which had zero customers, but 3 employees just sitting, and immediately could feel I was an inconvenience well before I asked about services. No hello, no how can I help you, just a simply no you need to go a mile west. Ummm OK, no problem, but holy wow on employing 3 staff who looked like they rather no be there and lacked customer service. I ended up walking to the other Holland Bicycles shop, off Orange Avenue, and was greeted by the best staff willing to help and answer questions. As a retired sales person: You're better off giving your money to the bike shop at 977 Orange Ave, Coronado - NOT here if you want nicer staff who truly want to work.

I had hip replacement surgery in April and knew the walk to Rady Shell was too far. I made a few calls, spoke with Pat and was able to arrange a drop off and pick up after the concert for a great price for my cousin and myself. He also had hip surgery about the same time as me, but he's on his game, he even tap dances in Little Italy on Saturdays at the Farmers Market. Pat was great to communicate with, friendly, and made my concert experience so pleasant. Call Pat first, you won't be disappointed!!!
