We didn't bring much on board, so our main idea was to stop at as many cute, picturesque bars as we could! Which our driver (and us) nailed! Definitely a great time, as our driver Justin even stopped at some extra places and offered to take pics! If there's any tips I'd give to others, the tuk tuk was a great idea with 5 people because even if it can hold 6, it would have been a tight squeeze. The floor of the buggy was really high so you're pretty much in a squat position for a lot of it! Make sure you know 3 people would be going backwards! He was friendly and knowledgeable so it made for a good time. We tried a Blanco that was pretty good. The group we were with was really fun too so that helped make for a great time. Next stop was the Tequila Factory. Really cool place that used to be a restaurant we went to often in the past. We got a fish taco and a great explanation of the tequila that is made specially for them. The staff was so friendly too. Really beautiful view as well. For our final stop, we ended up at El Agave. They have an amazing collection of tequila bottles and more importantly, tequila. This is a location I will go back to soon. We got a flight of tequilas that went from Blanco to Añejo. Very cool. For a fun day of tequila tasting and learning, this is the tour!

This was our first time traveling with Perfect Pour Excursions, and I have to say, that they do not disappoint! The whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Dan was our tour guide and he made sure throughout the trip that we were all enjoying ourselves and things were to our satisfaction. The wineries they chose for our first trip were great! There were 3 in total. Wines ranging from whites, roses, sparkling, reds, single varietals, Rhone and Bordeau style blends... something for everyone. The winery grounds were beautiful and inviting, with gorgeous views of the valley. It doesn't stop at the wine, however; the food we ate was fantastic! We can't wait to go on another trip!! We were picked up at our hotel, all 28 of us climbed into two trucks and drove to our first destination Ballast Brewery. They have an amazing selection of beers to taste. Our Beer Guides were awesome. They shared their vast beer knowledge at the next brewery Saint Archer. Great beer there too! The truck rides were fun as they were full of beer and water. We hooked up our own music to listen to 80s tunes. (I'm 50 remember? :p ) Finally we got to Duckfoot Brewery where my gluten free brother could have some beer as well! Everyone could join in on this tour! Something for everyone! (They had wine at Ballast too) The catered bbq food was SO good. Snarfed that down with some great beer. Hotshots Brewery Tours is amazing. They made my Birthday pretty epic. The family and friends will be talking about it for awhile! They all want to go again. The old school firetruck was a pretty sweet ride! There was plenty of beer and water inside for us to begin the journey. You could also hook up your phone to the sound system and play your own music. Nick brought us to three breweries (Ballast Point, St. Archer's, & Mission) and at each one he would give us a little insight on the history of each brewery. Once inside, he set us up with some drinks, and even showed us around Ballast Point. HotShots also provided lunch, which was very delicious! We had chicken wings, subs, pizzas, and fries. Nick was a pretty friendly guy, and a great guide! While at each brewery, he hungout with us and played cards. He even beat us in Pusoy Dos (Filipino card game) numerous times. Pretty sure he was just hustling us though... Overall HotShots was a great experience. We got to go to 3 different breweries, drink a lot, and not have to worry about how to get to the next brewery. We all had a great time, and if you book them for your brewery tour, you'll have a great time as well!

James, gave a brief description on how to operate the Segway and asked for a volunteer...luckily a brave teenager stepped up to the plate and within a minute he was riding around on his own. I felt the fear slowly subside as one by one the others in the group stepped on their Segways and were riding around. It was my turn to step on...I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest as the adrenaline was pumping through my system. James was very reassuring and said he wouldn't let go until I was ready. To my surprise, it was very stable, super easy to maneuver and within minutes the entire group (including myself) were pros and we were on our way. The tour was great, lots of information and yes a healthy dose of lame jokes (reminds me of the jungle cruise at Disneyland...I wouldn't change a thing). I'm definitely booking the La Jolla tour next. Totally worth trying and you might even conquer a fear you didn't realize you had.

My company recently decided on taking a Segway tour for a team building exercise and I was in…read morecharge of finding a company in San Diego. I found We Love Tourists on Yelp and am so glad I chose to do the Segway tour with them! We had a blast! It was a lot more fun than we expected. We knew we'd look like dorks with helmets on and doing a tour, but really, it was a ton of fun trying to go as fast as we could on the Segways, learning about the city, and even interacting with passersby. We took the San Diego City Loop tour which covers about 12 miles in 2 hours. The tour starts downtown and we made our way up to Balboa Park through Little Italy to the Harbor and back into downtown. After about an hour, we took a break, which was much needed. Even though we're just standing on a Segway the whole time, they are constantly in motion, so you have to make sure that your weight is centered if you don't want to move forward or backward. Our feet hurt the most after the tour, so make sure to wear very comfy shoes with support (tennis shoes). It didn't take long to get used to being on a Segway; after our tour as we were walking to the car, we commented on how much it sucks to walk now compared to being on a Segway! Our tour guide, Bridgette, was awesome. She was very friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and easy going. Bridgette did a great job in teaching us and we all caught on to how to operate the Segway very quickly. She gave us some tips and even encouraged us to go as fast as we wanted (where it was safe). We did stop at some spots and she gave us info on the buildings and the city. Being a native San Diegan, I actually learned some new things! Since we were focused on team building, I think it was just the right amount of information and allowed us to really move and have fun on the Segways. She didn't have any problems with taking photos for us and also gave us some great happy hour spots to go to after our tour. I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Bridgette! Booking the tour was very easy as well. I sent a text message (as their website suggests) and I got a text response very quickly. We corresponded via text initially, which is what I preferred, so it worked out great for me. I then spoke with Chris, tour booking manager, the week of our tour to confirm everything and received an email confirmation with the details. I got an awesome deal for our tour, just check their website for current deals or ask. I think if I ever do a tour of any city, going by Segway is the way to go! I would definitely recommend We Love Tourists for their Segway tours. You'll have a lot of fun!
