If you're thinking about making a trip out to Valle de Guadalupe, I can't think of a more enjoyable way to experience it. This was our first time traveling with Perfect Pour Excursions, and I have to say, that they do not disappoint! The whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Dan was our tour guide and he made sure throughout the trip that we were all enjoying ourselves and things were to our satisfaction. The wineries they chose for our first trip were great! There were 3 in total. Wines ranging from whites, roses, sparkling, reds, single varietals, Rhone and Bordeau style blends... something for everyone. The winery grounds were beautiful and inviting, with gorgeous views of the valley. It doesn't stop at the wine, however; the food we ate was fantastic! We can't wait to go on another trip!! This review is long overdue. I can't say enough wonderful things about Phil and my first girls trip to Valle de Guadalupe! It was meticulously planned and we didn't have to worry about anything. Phil made sure we had an excellent time starting with mimosas and smooth transport across the border. I appreciated that he thought our rest stops. He was a wealth of knowledge on the Valle and just Mexico in general. Phil has tons of amazing stories and experiences to share, and he's hilarious as well!! All three wineries we went to were unique. My group loved Mina Penelope the best. The outdoor wine tasting seating was so nice and the wines were delicious. We all brought some wines home! We also returned to their restaurant, Malva, for a multi course dinner which was spectacular. We definitely did not leave hungry!! The hospitality at all of the wineries was great. I was also impressed by all the wines themselves. I hands down prefer Valle de Guadalupe over Temecula wines because the growers in the Valle go with what the earth gives them rather than selling what's popular even if the wines turn out bad. Phil gave us such a great experience. He made it all look easy and it was nice to relax without a care! We even got T shirts at the end which I've already worn many times! I found Perfect Pour excursions when I was searching for transportation options for my friend and I to have a girls weekend to the Baja. After a few conversations I knew he was going to help us do everything we wanted in a short amount of time. He picked us up from the San Diego airport and away we went for our fun 3 day trip. Together we came up with a plan to get everything we wanted accomplished. Tacos, tequila, Tijuana, haha but we did so much more! We stayed in Rosarito but he made sure we made it to Ensenada and Los Portales and also our day at Valle De Guatelupe and dinner at Fauna. We did 3 wineries and dinner on our Valle trip. My best friend and I went on a little girls trip to rosarito for the weekend. We came across perfect pour excursions, and gave them a last minute call hoping to get a tour of the valle. Phil was more accommodating than we could have ever imagined! He picked us up the next morning, took us to tour 3 different wineries with completely unique experiences to each one. In between wineries, he took us to a farm to table lunch that was delicious. We learned about each winery, got to meet many of the owners who were friends with Phil, and had a fantastic time. We felt completely taken care of, safe, and it couldn't have been a more perfect day! Phil even met us the next day to make sure we were able to navigate safely back to San Diego across the border. I cannot fully put in to words how amazing Perfect Pour, and in particular Phil, truly is! We had the most amazing engagement weekend thanks to him! I thought I would be enjoying a quick getaway to San Diego with my boyfriend and when Phil picked us up I was expecting a day trip to Laguna Beach. I didn't realize he was driving south until I saw the big "Welcome to Mexico" sign at the border and my boyfriend said surprise! From there on out Phil was an excellent host taking us to a local taco stand on the way to the Valle (with the most delicious tacos I've ever tasted) and from vineyard to vineyard to meet the owners (who he's personally friends with), create an incredible experience for us and introduce us to the Valle de Guadalupe region. All of the places we stopped had the most delicious wine, food and incredible views. He shared so many great stories and knowledge of the area, and made everything so personal and special. When it came time for the engagement, he brought us to a beautiful restaurant atop a cliff that overlooked the ocean. It was truly breathtaking. And he captured the entire thing on video and photo and even brought me flowers after! While at our engagement dinner, Phil decorated our entire hotel room with roses, champagne and rose petals - I was floored when I walked into our room at the end of the night! Every detail was thought of. My boyfriend was truly grateful to work with Phil in planning this special weekend. The amount of care, personalization and fun that Phil put into the weekend speak volumes of how he runs their business. Phil was an incredible guide! The pickup process was seamless and the van was easily able to accommodate our large group. The wineries we toured were great but we especially appreciated the intimate feel of touring a small family owned winery where we were the only group there.
