We booked this catamaran sailing tour on San Diego Bay for the four of us and every single one of us left grinning and super happy. It was our first time really sailing the San Diego Bay and none of us had experienced anything like it. Captain Kaya killed the motors and we actually SAILED; no engine noise, just the sails catching the wind and the boat cutting silently across the bay. The wind picked up quite a bit and the cat stayed stable and smooth the entire time. We chilled in the bow nets and in the comfy seats above them, as well as around the inside of the boat where there's a nice table to sit and talk, and Captain Kaya was super knowledgeable and a great host! We saw dolphins AND sea lions, and a dolphin actually put on a small show for us and we got lucky enough to capture it. Kaya was fun, funny, welcoming, and made our whole family feel right at home. This was such a wonderful time! I love being near the ocean but am a little uncomfortable since my experience has been limited and I'm not a very strong swimmer. Captain Ryan was so capable and knowledgeable I found myself calm and relaxed with confidence to even swim when anchor was dropped. I had no idea what to expect when my friend invited me and my wife to go on a cruise around the harbor. It was a picture perfect San Diego clear sky afternoon when we were met at the dock by Ryan and his team. They were real professionals who knew just how to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. Our captain, Matt, was a real pro. He took the task, or job, of being a captain, seriously. His first objective was to make sure that his passengers (us) and/or crew were safe and informed before setting out to explore the bay and all its glory.
