Me and my mom came on a trip to San Diego, when I learned it was blue whale season when we would be there I knew we had to go! We are VERY prone to seasickness, so of course I did extensive research on which type of boat we should go with, what company etc. we came across Offshore and it was the right choice!! Neither me nor my mom got seasick at all, we were on a small RIB, but honestly so much better than the bigger boats due to them because of the speed of the boat, the intimate style tour (only 6 people), and how much closer you could get to the animals. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see any blue whales but we did see a mom and baby gray whale which was super rare for this time of year. The company has good status with other tour boats so they radio each other when they see something which is awesome. We also ended up seeing about a thousand dolphins and they were swimming right under our boat! Our captain Brian was awesome, always checking on us to make sure we weren't nauseous or scared. Overall, super awesome experience! THANKS BRIAN!!!

Awesome and intimate experience. The captains are so fun and professional . We saw so many blue whales we couldn't decide which to look at up close and personal .

We had a blast on our whale watching tour. Captain Morgan was awesome and was determined to find us some whales even if it meant staying out a little longer. Didn't realize it was such a small boat because we booked last minute and didn't even think to ask but it was great to have a small group of 6. I feel like we got to see so much more than we would have on one of the big whale watching boats and it was much more personal. The life vests were great too. Not super bulky like some of them I've had to wear. My favorite was getting up close to the dolphins. Such a sight to see! Loved every minute.

What a lovely adventure with the family. Having the experience on the calm water and having the boat to our self with captain Peter was fantastic. Almost right away he spotted gray whales that we followed for an hour. Later we stumbled upon a pod of curious dolphins and some sea lions. Peter is responsive to our needs and what we would like to see. Highly recommend.

Fun, personalized experience. We were greeted by the Captain and escorted to the vessel. Before we boarded the RHIB, we had a quick safety briefing and we're given our life jackets. For adults, they have the auto-inflating style, so they aren't bulky. We headed out of Mission Bay and went north up the coast. Our Captain worked hard to find a large pod of dolphins, and we spent a while observing them. This was a peak human experience. Watching the dolphins from a small RHIB was an awesome experience in every sense of the word. We've been on whale/dolphin watching tours on larger vessels, and this beat that experience hands-down.

Liz took my coworkers and I on a last-minute trip to see sea lions, humpback whales, and thousands of dolphins. We were in a tiny boat that allowed us to move quickly and get very close to the animals. Liz was a wonderful captain and we highly recommend this trip.

What a great day we had Jules our boat captain was the best we above and beyond to make sure we saw a whale and dolphins. She was an amazing captain handling the swells making the trip very comfortable!

Top experience for us in San Diego. I have to recommend this to ANYONE and EVERYONE who comes to San Diego. I was lucky to do a similar experience in Hawaii but my time here in San Diego just surpassed that. From my phone calls to the lovely owner to understand what is a good time to go to the actual captain who's wealth of knowledge and fun attitude put our time on the ocean at the top of my list. I will say this... this is all about observing nature. So sometimes nature may bless you with whale sights and a thousands of dolphins doing handstands. Other times, it may give you the beautiful blue sea and the occasional sighting of the common "foilus balloonisicus" aka... terrible foil balloons released and dropped into the ocean as garbage. We got pretty lucky on our adventure. To start ... this is a true adventure. You will sit in a smaller boat that is meant to go fast and keep up with dolphins. We got a private tour ... yeah lucky. No one else book the time we asked for. For those who have a sore back or get sea sick easily... this might be the boat for you. Our captain moved the boat swiftly and smoothly but its still riding quickly over the waves in search of the wonderful animals. As I mentioned, the owner and captain are 10++/5. They're always pleasant, happy, willing to accommodate, follow up, and probably do a handstand if you asked. Ok maybe not but they're great. We learned SO SOOOOO much about dolphins as we were riding with them and watching them as they were beside us. We got to have these dolphins within a foot of our boot as we sped with them. Our first sighting was adorable as we say a calf and mom swimming gently. It was a fairly small pod with only 5 dolphins swimming casually about. What was mind blowing was that we encountered a stampede. I had no idea this was a real thing but let me tell you that if you have this, enjoy... every... minute. On the horizon, you'll see tons of light flickering off what it seems a flurry of random water splashes in these small bursts. Soon you'll realize that you're staring at HUNDREDs of dolphins who are all swimming at top speeds across the ocean waves. It was amazing as we joined in and followed along with them. Within seconds the dolphins would start 'playing' with us by swimming right under our helm and surface right beside us and dive under again to swim left then right of us. It was completely amazing to see these incredible animals up close. We did this easily for a better part of 90 minutes. We didn't get to see any whales that day but honestly being so close to the dolphins and in that massive stampede was a complete highlight of my trip to San Diego thanks to the careful and wonderful service and mother nature showing us the playful nature of the dolphins.

Whether you're a local or visiting San Diego this is a really fun activity on the weekend with yummy drinks and good vibes. Originally we were booked for a 10:30am tour that goes out to watch the sea lions out on the bay, unfortunately not enough people booked that one so it was cancelled. Even though our original plan was cancelled Tiki Time Tours went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience and not only complimentary upgraded our tickets to a more expensive tour, they also gave our party a free round of drinks for the inconvenience! I think this speaks a lot about a company; anyone can be happy with customer service when everything goes according to plan, but the most important times to step up is when plans get cancelled/changed and that's exactly what they did for us! Instead of the sea lion tour we ended up doing the Tiki Live! tour at 3pm. This tour is about 2 hours and while you're out on the water you mingle with everyone else and play games that can win prizes for yourself, your party or the whole boat! The games were fun, interactive and silly. At some points we got close enough to shore and made people on land be a part of our games! Donny was our tiki tour master and he was really funny during the whole tour. In between games he just let the music play so we could enjoy the atmosphere and drinks. My entire group left with nothing but great things to say about the whole experience. My friend even won a free tour for another time so we will definitely be returning for more tiki fun.

RANDOM SUNDAY -…read moreStunning Views - Drinks + shots - Stunning views - chances to win money and prizes My friends randomly saw this boat and said we should do it for fun. Tickets were around $47 per person for a 2hr water tour around the Bay in a boat decorated in tiki decor. For tourist this tour is great with a ton of fun information about San Diego and stunning views in the water. Minimum 8 people on the boat or there may be cancellation of the tour. PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS. The guide will have some friendly trivia for a chance to win good cash prices, free drinks, gift cards, etc I think that was pretty fun to include in while getting a tour. If you are sensitive to getting seasick, I would recommend a Dramamine beforehand. Although the boat was spacious, it still felt the wakes from the other boats and you can go rocking. In addition there were slow times of moving and turning. Or you can just chuck down a few drinks and feel numb to it all! They have a Tiki Bar with a drink menu (no food) to purchase from and if you bring snacks to eat - you can't eat it on the boat. Drinks were good but their "house" made shots were pretty good! We had a couple rounds of those while on tour - paid round by a passenger or a free shot in the house by the staff. The awkward but not so awkward would be mingling with other folks on the boat that you don't know. One of my friends kept interjecting with another party and while they seem to not mind I could tell they were being polite but if it were me I'd probs be annoyed if someone kept interjecting while I'm having a good time with my friends. Although we all got along and occasionally shared cheers with shots. Luckily the boat was near empty with just a few of us to have some space to do your thing. Overall, nice little 2hr time in the water. Would highly recommend the later session to catch the sunset. Until the next review....
