I took my mom here and had a fantastic experience. Strawberries were $8 a pound plus you have to buy the red buckets which were $4 each. Each bucket when it's full was about $40ish. You can also buy jams,t shirts, lemonade. The jam was sold out within an hour of them opening Parking lot opens at 9 but the picking starts at 10am and we went on a Saturday and it was Packed!!!! read more

Visited this place on a rainy day, so we expected it to be muddy and It also wasn't crowded. There were enough amount of strawberries to pick. We specially enjoyed the home made strawberry jam. My MAIN drawback was the entrance fee being tied to a plastic bucket. It was only $4, and I understand the reasoning, but it feels wasteful since it's something I likely won't use again. I would have preferred a cardboard box or a more eco-friendly option; especially since we visited on Earth Day! read more

Don't waste your time. It's not worth drive. They "open" at 10am but you have to get there at least two hours early to even be let in. They come before they are even open. read more

The experience is just what I needed. A little drive out to the country. Light wind, a little sun, and a strawberry farm ready for picking! Everyone is super nice and helped direct me to where I needed to be. One line to get a bucket ($4) if you are like a newb like myself. Another online for picking if you brought your bucket. A line for jam and planters. And last but not least, a line for that strawberry ice cream! You could tell the experienced families with their rainboots! My sneaks did get a bit muddy and certain lanes could not be traversed but still plenty of dry lanes with red berries under the leaves ready to be picked. Everyone was so polite to one another and you could hear the little squeals when a strawberry was found. It was heart warming to see generations enjoying the harvest together. I got there at 9:40 and really not much wait on lines to get started a little after the licking began at 10. Plenty of strawberries to be had! Like everyone else I was excited to take my strawberries home! Lovely and fun experience to be had! read more

Had a great experience this weekend. Took the whole family strawberry picking. There were 7 of us and we got lots of berries! Price for the red basket that you can reuse each year was $4. They had pints of jam for $13 and half pints for $8. This jam is hella good y'all! Dare I say it's better than Bonne Maman which I didn't think was ever possible! We also had a strawberry ice cream cone! Very tasty! The strawberries were $7/lb. We filled our red bucket and it was almost 6lbs. The line is long on Saturdays so get there well at 9am if they open at 10. If you already have a red basket you can get in the shorter line and get to pickin' faster. You can only use the baskets so don't bring your own. Oh and wear older shoes. If it rained recently, bring a change of shoes and a plastic bag to put your muddy ones in after picki We made a strawberry cobbler yesterday and oh my gosh! These berries were sweet, juicy, red and delicious! Cannot wait to go back. read more

Took the family strawberry picking here over the weekend after a week of hard rain. As expected, the fields were muddy, but there were plenty of berries to pick and the kids had a blast. Fresh strawberry lemonade was fantastic and the entire experience was great. We'll be sure to come back next strawberry season! read more

For the best experience, it's probably best to go on a weekday if your schedule allows for it -- parking lot opens at 9 AM and then they let you start picking the strawberries at 10 AM. The best strawberries are usually at the far end. I felt the strawberry soft serve was a bit overrated -- in fact I don't think I'd get it again there. It's certainly worth trying at least once though. A pro tip is that if you have strawberries you picked and you want to pay for those and get ice cream, then your best bet is to divide and conquer -- have one person start waiting in line for ice cream (go there first since that line moves WAY slower) and then the other person goes to wait in line and pay for the strawberries. Usually the person paying for the strawberries will be done way ahead of time and will be ready to help the ice cream purchaser carry all the ice cream cones. read more

We went here this morning and despite it being hella muddy we had a blast. We felt like kids playing in the mud. We got one $3 reusable bucket for of us because it holds 5lbs of strawberries and we didnt need more than that between the 3 of us. We picked for like 20 minutes and had our bucket full. Make sure you wear your boots or rain boots if you go after rain. The pictures will show what a mess it is. Great for kids and adults. Free parking in the grass. Strawberries are $5/lb. Its pick as many as you want. The field will close early due to it being picked out especially on Saturdays so get there early!! Picking season ends late May early June usually. read more

Such a fun family activity. I never would have thought such a thing existed. Once you get in there and start picking some strawberries you just can't stop. Our family left with 5 baskets full of strawberries! No limit to how much you can pick. You pay $3 for the basket, which you keep, and then it is $5 per pound. We arrived at about 10:30am on Saturday and the line was RIDICULOUS. Luckily it moved very fast and we were out of line in about 30 minutes. read more

It is outrageously and ridiculously expensive. We picked close to 4 lbs a bucket. They sold the bucket for $4. The strawberries are $10 / lb where Kroger sales for $2.30/lb and Costco has 2 lbs for $6.00. COSTCO strawberries are huge and clean. Here at Pecan, we enjoy the novelties of picking and being in an openly fresh air environment... but they take advantage of our labor as well....I recommend to pick 1/2 pound for fun only! NOTE: $8/lb vs. $2.30/lb at retailer speaks for itself... it is voluntary from consumers perspective... I got that... no one forces us to buy... but once you are there... they got you after driving 30 min away... just like at airports... they know they got us... no choice! In my opinion, Pecan needs to be more reasonable! read more

The Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm is a great Spring tradition. The employees at the family owned farm are courteous and helpful. You must purchase the red buckets directly from the farm and they are $3 each. The farm has used the same buckets for 4 seasons and you can reuse yours after initial purchase. The strawberries are all pick your own and the cost in April of 2021 was $6.00 per pound. The fields were extremely muddy the day we went but it added to the experience. 4 out 5 stars and definitely an excellent family experience for all ages. 5 stars would have been awarded if there was access to a hose to get all the mud off. Better preparation next time for us but we still had a blast. Oh and the strawberries are phenomenal. read more

We absolutely LOVED it!!! So much FUN picking strawberries this morning; the chilly cold (& not to mention windy) weather didn't stop us LOL. We picked a whole bucket full of fresh, red strawberries - delicious & sweet too!!! Y'all are AWESOME - what a great Saturday morning activity for our kiddo & we will definitely be back!!! read more

This was so much fun! It was really cold but so worth it. You get a big red bucket for $3 and then you pick as many strawberries as you want. Then when you are done, you pay for what you picked by the pound. They are very nice people and the field is clean. They have designated parking and everything is labled for questions. They do except cash and card. So you don't have to worry about bringing cash. You do have to pay for their bucket and can't bring your own, but it's all good. Bring good walking shoes, the fields are naturally uneven. The strawberries are sweet and juicy! Worth the drive out to here!! read more

i somehow stumbled across this place on instagram and knew i had to go! we went on a Saturday, and we got there about 9:20, and the parking lot was already packed and the line was becoming very long. besides waiting in line in the blasting sun for 40 minutes until they opened at 10am, everything else was fantastic. you buy each bucket for $4 and you can pick as many berries as you want, but it is first come first serve. they also have strawberry ice cream, strawberry jam, and hanging baskets with strawberry plants! everyone was so nice and the whole experience was very aesthetically pleasing to me. there was plenty of berries to go around and they were still letting people in even after we left. they do sell out fast - they posted shortly after we left that they were closing at 12pm! they go fast but it is worth it. the berries are great quality and absolutely delicious. they are reasonably priced for the experience in my opinion at $7/lb. we got just over a pound, barely filling the bottom of the basket for reference. didn't want any berries to go to waste, so we only bought what we needed! could've picked all day, though! it was super dry when we went, but the ground is uneven, so be careful when walking especially after it rains. i wore sandals and my feet got kind of dirty but it wasn't that bad. i couldn't wait to review this place because i had such a great time. well worth the drive and the visit. hope to return sometime this season! read more

Came on a Wednesday around 10:30am. There were quite a few families, but still soooo many berries left. I brought my 9 month old, husband and best friend who was visiting. We had so much fun!!!!! It was exciting to "hunt" the berries and my daughter loved seeing her favorite fruit everywhere! read more

Fun experience with the family. Did not know you can pick fresh grown strawberries here in Texas. Here are a few tips: 1-Arrive early. Parking lot opens at 8am and there will be a line waiting to get in at 9am. 2-Wear mud rated boots unless you want your new sneakers (or flip flops, yes people wore flip flops) to get muddy. 3-It's $3 to purchase a basket that you get to keep and take home. 4-They weigh what you pick when you leave. The strawberries tasted very good and fresh of course, we picked them ourselves...lol. read more

Awesome super friendly staff my first time here I already tasted the strawberries and they are amazing and very delicious. We did come here on a raining day so if you do the same be sure that you will get stuck in the mud with your boots lol. Great place to bring family and get that experience of just pure great fun. read more

Ok, so first thing you should know, is get there before 10:00am, we got there at 9:20 and the parking lot and line was already pretty packed, you're going to wait in a long line but once they opened it moved quickly... and I wouldn't advise getting there much past 10am, we may have been there for a little over an hour, and as we we were leaving they already had someone out in front holding a sign saying " sold out " They are going to charge you 3.00 per bucket and it's what you must use to contain your berries, no outside buckets. And for a full bucket we were charged 30.00 5.99 per pound, and not organic. They also sell potted hanging strawberry plants which can be pitched for around 15.00 per plant. The fields were muddy, so bring your rain boots, or we saw some folks barefoot and tromping through the mud, which looked kind of fun too. Overall we totally enjoyed the experience of picking our own berries... I'm not going to give it 5 stars because they were kind of pricey, especially for non-organic produce! read more

The experience is fun however, the wait is not! Waited an hour before we could pick and another 45 to check out. Very unorganized! If you have a bucket from previous customer you can start picking right at 10. If you need to purchase a bucket you wait in line. Why not pass out buckets ahead of time or have one line or cash now for cards. read more

I can not express how happy I am that my wife found this place. If you are looking to get your family out of the concrete jungle and to the countryside, this is a fun little adventure that the whole family will enjoy. On the way out, we saw many equestrian facilities with horses grazing in the green pastures. Once we got there and got in line I knew we were in for a treat. The family that runs this farm were very welcoming and made us feel like they were as excited for us to be there as we were! Although this is a business it didn't feel like they were just out to make a buck. They went out of their way to answer questions that we had about the operation of the farm and were very engaging towards our two year old daughter. I hope this place stays open for years to come as this will be a family tradition that we will look forward to every spring. read more

Not worth the drive out - unless you like sitting in an endless line of idling cars only to be turned away when you get to the gate. I arrived from the north end of Foust and was sent to the "end of the line" of cars that arrived from the opposite direction. Did t seem right to me that they would only allow you in from one direction when nothing was posted to make that clear. read more
