Ten days ago, I asked Becky for a quote on Toyos for my motorhome and was given two models to choose from. When I researched them, I discovered one model wouldn't support the weight of my motorhome. So I ordered the one that could handle the weight. I was told these weren't in stock. I said I needed them installed in November prior to a long trip and was told that wouldn't be a problem. Today, I called to get an ETA on the delivery of the tires. Becky thought she was waiting on a call back from me prior to ordering. She checked her records and said no order was placed, she would have to check the databases of two outside vendors, and she would call me back. I confirmed that she had the correct model #. I was on the phone when Becky called back and left a voicemail wanting to confirm what I wanted before ordering. I called her back and said the confusion was too unsettling for me and to cancel my order.

James is amazing! My car broke down on a Friday and I was calling around to every mechanic shop in…read morethe area. I am from the Bay Area and we were about 2.5 miles from home when my car started making weird noises and then just died. I was able to start the car up again and get it to our house in Pioneer and get a call out to AAA for a tow. After waiting for our tow truck, I was able to get ahold of Steins Auto Care and I spoke with James who told me to bring my Tucson in so they could see what the issue was. I had the vehicle towed and due to this being a Friday, after 3pm, James advised they could look at my vehicle on Monday. I was fine with that, however, I had no car to get me home. James suggested the Enterprise Rental Agency in Sutter Creek and I was able to acquire a vehicle for a few days. Stein personally drove my Hubby and I to Enterprise and I was able to lock down a car so I could get home for my work shift. James contacted me as soon as they were able to do a diagnostic on my car and had to break the bad news to me. He let me know that the engine had failed and that I would need to have an entire engine replacement. James suggested I have the vehicle towed to Hyundai to see if this would be replaced under the Hyundai Warranty. Thanks to James and Stein, this was a smooth process and I was able to get the vehicle towed to Stockton Hyundai for a full engine replacement. Luck was certainly on my side when I dialed Stein's number for help and I appreciate all of the hard work and assistance provided by this fantastic Auto Shop. Breaking down on the highway while heading home from the mountains to San Francisco is about as…read morestressful as it gets--especially with a nervous pitbull and no real idea where you are. After calling five different shops that either didn't answer or couldn't help, Stein's Auto Shop picked up. Even though they were short-staffed, already busy, and facing a holiday the next day, they said they could take a look. They also strongly suggested a nearby towing service rather than limping the truck in. That advice turned out to be spot-on--the transfer case was completely bound up. Priority Towing showed up, loaded all four of us (truck, humans, and dog), took the 4Runner to Stein's, waited while we dropped it off, and then drove us to a nearby dog-friendly hotel. That alone would've been above and beyond. The next day, the truck was fixed, test-driven, and running like normal. To top it off, the owner personally picked me up from the hotel. The whole team was kind, calm, and genuinely engaged--walking through what most likely caused the issue and answering questions without any rush or condescension. All for a very reasonable price. Owning a small business means this truck matters. A 2001 Limited 4WD 4Runner with plans to see another 200,000 miles deserves good hands, and Stein's proved they're exactly that. I was trying to save money and bought one online (guaranteed to fit). Tooles agreed to put it on for us. Of course it didn't fit, so they got a compressor that DID fit, and got it on and ready to go in TWO DAYS. It ended up costing about the same as it would've if I had just taken it there to begin with. I have returned the online purchased compressor and am waiting for a refund.
