Had my appointment and the optometrist had on ONE shoe and was rude as rude could be screaming at me and pretty much calling me a liar saying I could see far away and not up close(why would I lie?!) then by the end of the check up she was like "I'm not giving you your full prescription because it will be too strong" then proceeded to give me readers I paid over $300 for that are NO HELP! I have a picture of her walking around with no shoe and a recording of her screaming at me. Then when I asked them to send me my prescription THREE times they refused....then send me it after I told them ITS LAW they gave to send it to me, it was a prescription for readers!!!! How did my eyes go from +2.00 and +3.00 10 years ago to almost perfect how?! Then they sent me a bill saying I owed more because they didn't take my insurance and argued with me saying they never checked and blah blah. Worst people I've ever encountered and the place is a mess!

MN FRAUD! MN FRAUD! - Routine vs Medical coding--read this carefully and thoroughly about their…read morebilling and coding practice. I scheduled my annual routine eye check-up with a $10.00 co-pay. Note: I'm not having any issues but scheduled my annual & routine eye check up. At the appointment they start by doing some standard tests and then the DR does their normal and routine tests. If they don't find any eye issues, I only pay the $10.00 co-pay. However, (little did I know) if they find an eye condition they automatically change this to a medical appointment which now costs $65.23. Here is my complaint. The only thing different is them telling me about the condition of my eyes. So instead of saying your eyes are perfect and come back in a year they tell you about an eye condition, they'll keep an eye on it and come back in a year. Is this not the purpose of a check up is to find out the condition of your eyes. Let me repeat: Nothing (no tests, eye checks) was done different from it being a $10.00 visit to a $65.23 visit except they TOLD me about a situation with my eye. There was absolutely no additional work done during that appointment. When I have my dental check-ups they tell me the condition of my teeth. If they find work that needs to be done they don't go back and charge me for the check up. We move forward with my treatment plan. United Health Care said they pay according to the code the doctor's use. The Eye Care Clinic changing this to medical billing generates more money for them and more out of pocket for the customer. Be aware of how they code your visit: medical or routine

They have treated me with disrespect, very condescending and got very mean spirited when all I was trying to do was get my $417.00 refund back. They couldn't credit my credit card because they received a new card reader that would not credit accounts from the old system. They sent the first check to a wrong address. They make it out that it's my fault and I should go to the post office and straighten it out. Fridley is the one that wrote it wrong. They said they corrected it, but the second check went to the same wrong address, I was lucky enough the postman figured it out and I got it. I'm still waiting for a check from October and the act like they do t know how to take care of the problem. Today the business did not open!!! I asked about a drooping eye, and they said they'd have to refer me somewhere else as they couldn't diagnose it. Well that cost me an additional $50 plus my insurance paid $119. I was struggling with the prescription, and that was my main concern. I was trying to figure out why it wasn't working for me - including the possible dropping eye. Turned out it was the prescription, and now I'm just fine, but it still cost me an extra $50 after I already paid $102 (insurance paid $367) so they made out $ on me. Needless to say, I'm switching eye care centers.

I was educated about every step of my exam and even got to see images of my retina! I didn't feel rushed at all and he really took the time to explain his findings and to answer all my questions. Kimberly helped me pick out my frames and suggested enhancements to prevent breakage (which is a necessity with a 9 month old!). All in all a 10/10 experience, I highly recommend Crystal Vision Clinic!
