Alicia was incredible at communication and answering all of my questions throughout the planning process. My husband and I hired Pearl Snap Cuisine as our wedding caterer! From the very first call, Jackson and Alicia were so kind, friendly, patient and an absolute DREAM to work with. I always had a very specific vision of what I wanted my wedding food experience to be like and after being told by multiple caterers that my vision would not be possible, I came across Pearl Snap and they NAILED IT. I had Pearl Snap cuisine cater my wedding reception and they were absolutely amazing! Three weeks after the wedding, I am still getting compliments on the food. Everyone was very impressed and several people said it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. Jackson and Alicia did a great job and made sure every detail was taken care of. It took a lot of stress off of me for the wedding planning. The exotic fruit display was gorgeous and the infused waters were very refreshing. Our wedding package consisted of a full mouth watering menu. I splurged and added the venison hot rocks and a cheese board for each table. There was plenty of food and the staff did a stellar job. A five star rating for Pearl Snap is not high enough! I had two vegans at my wedding and they made sure there were plenty of choices to keep my vegan friends happy and full. I also had the wedding at my house. Jackson and Alicia made sure their prep area was hidden from the guests. They are easy to work with and always answered calls, texts, or emails immediately. The BEST part of our wedding. They were absolutely AMAZING from start to finish. I truly cannot say enough about them. We found them via a Facebook recommendation and they were our first tasting. We were a little nervous at first, but after our experience, nothing could compare. We gained a lot of information from trying other catering, however we knew that Pearl Snap was the best fit. Guests raved about novel and delicious menu! For my husband's 70th's birthday, I used Pearl Snap Cuisine for a party of 40 friends and family. The FOOD: WOW - their signature hot-stone-seared venison was the talk of the party. The crab cake bites were the best most amazing crab I have ever had at numerous social and business functions. The veggie crudités were widely varied including both raw and roasted. And the potatoes with goat chess and candied bacon all disappeared, as did the pastry-twirled asparagus. The three-hummous platter was delicious, and we finished with a flourless chocolate cake. I would hire them again and again! I will recommend them to all my social and corporate connections. The Arrangements: We used thumbtack.com catering web search service to find them. Pearl Snap Cuisine responded promptly with the most interesting menu choices and easy choosing/budgeting/contracting processes. With only a couple of rounds of email, I had a committed caterer for the party. I gave them no more thought until the week of the party when we discussed a few more details and I paid the balance. Their setup in the couple of hours pre-party was unobtrusive in our kitchen. Jackson and Alicia are warm and friendly as family came and went. They worked well around our very interested labrador doggie and kept him from putting his nose in. A few days before the party, I asked if they could bring a helper for bar tending and light cleanup - that modest cost was well worth it. I did nothing. Pearl Snap catered our wedding at the Wildflower Barn in Driftwood, TX a couple of weekends ago. They did such a phenomenal job and I highly recommend them! They put together a beautiful menu tasting for us and gave us such special care and attention from the get-go and we immediately knew we were in good hands. Choosing Pearl Snap to cater our wedding was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. Jackson and Alicia went above and beyond in every possible way to make the food at our wedding absolutely perfect. About 10 minutes into the hourlong tasting, we were certain that we'd go with Pearl Snap. We were blown away by the food and by the warm hospitality of Alicia and Jackson. We then spent the next 16 months anxiously waiting to taste their food again. - One thing that's really unique about Pearl Snap is that several of their offerings double as both food and decor/entertainment. The fruit and cheese plate, for example, was a massive hit, both for its culinary and aesthetic value. Same thing goes for the Cafe Brulot and Bananas Foster presentations. - Alicia and Jackson were extremely responsive to any and all questions we had. They were more than happy to accommodate to our (many) requests and changes to the menu. - Relative to a lot of other comparable caterers we looked at in the Austin area, Pearl Snap was very affordable. Alicia and Jackson are the dynamic duo of catering! We hired Pearl Snap Cuisine to cater our wedding in May 2018 and it was the best decision ever! Wedding food can make or break the wedding guests experience and more often than not, guests are left underwhelmed by plates from larger catering events. NOT OUR GUESTS! They are still raving about the food and keep asking me for the fabulous summer salad recipe that was served before the buffet opened. From our first interaction, Alicia was quick to respond to every email. As a small business owner myself that really means a lot to me. Our wedding planner Vanna Van Oss owner of Blue Sparrow Events suggested we meet with Pearl Snap Cuisine for a tasting. They were also on the preferred vendors list for our venue Pecan Springs Ranch so we knew they had a great track record. The tasting....holy smokes! You don't want to miss that. We felt like royalty. They definitely have their process PERFECTED. They do not rush a single moment of your experience and your taste buds are thrilled for that. The entire experience was unique, personable, and delicious...and it was just that, an experience! We couldn't NOT go with them! They also offered to throw in late night Banana's Foster for 150 guests if we booked with them within a week of our tasting! Or maybe it was within 48 hours? I can't remember because we didn't think twice about it. We booked them the following day! The only reason we didn't book on the spot was that we had to narrow down all the delicious options we tasted! There are many things we loved about them, but one of our favorite takeaways was their attention to detail and dedication to their food tasting GREAT at the event. They bring a grill on site to cook the meat and veggies just before it should be served to guarantee the guests are getting the freshest tasting experience. I imagine that takes a lot more work than prepping it in the kitchen offsite and transferring the prepared food to the venue--which would make the food taste like it had been on a warmer for a while. They go the extra mile, and we loved that the guests could smell the grilling during the ceremony! We had the chimichurri chicken--TO DIE FOR. As the bride, you can bet I was starving...I kid you not, I spilled the lime green chimichurri sauce on my white dress from eating it so quickly! After a meltdown, and a tide-to-go pen, the stain disappeared and I kept on grubbin! I have had no less than 30 guests comment on the salad. I reached out to Alicia and Jackson to see if there was any possibility they would send us the summer salad recipe to include a menu card in our thank you notes to all our guests. To my delight, they are willing to share it and it will be a great surprise for our guests to open when we send the thank you cards out this summer! We loved our entire experience with Pearl Snap Catering start to finish and are so thrilled with our choice to use them for our special day. Alicia and Jackson are by far the best caterers in Austin. I had them for my wedding and it was nothing but absolute perfection. The food was amazing, the service was exquisite and Alicia and Jackson are just overall good people. They make you feel like they've known you your whole life.
